http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-ball-dont-lie/jeremy-lin-scores-second-straight-sports-illustrated-cover-183535682.html They all appeared on the cover of SI back to back. And for fucks sake Yao Ming is the greatest Asian player of all time. I'm not trying to knock Lin but MJ is arguably the best basketball player of all time and Dirk well he is a pretty good ball player himself. |

Hmm. Actually, I know what all 3 had in common. All three were slept on. That's about it. Jeremy Lin is about 15 seasons, 6 rings, and countless highlight reels of gravity-defying footage away from being a Jordan. And even then he can't be Jordan because Jordan can't be replaced. Just like Dr. J, while sometimes forgotten by younger people, can't be replaced. And if you ever saw clips of Dr. J and realized he was before Jordan you'd realize Jordan had to up his game to 11 to overshadow a cat like that. No, at this point, Lin is a far cry from MJ. However, if he can keep up this momentum and use it to get even better he could easily surpass Yao Ming. Let's face it. Yao Ming was a good player but he was more known for being a 7 foot plus guy from China than anything else. Plus, Jeremy, though Chinese and Taiwanese descent, was born and raised in America which makes him seem less foreign to Americans, especially when he speaks. |
