Since some many are concerned about the plight of black people, I will ask a question and expect some answer, would you be willing to donate $5.00 a week to help fund new businesses for blacks? It has been stated that one small business would employee 10 people and it would only take $50K to start one. If we can placed a business in very state, they would mean at least 500 people would have a job and if the business grow, it could employ thousands. |

LBM you intent is noble, however not realistic. Starting and keeping a business is not that simplistic. Once you start a business it has to be profitable. So you going to need some "sustaining" captial until you begin to see a profit so that you can pay for the the things that the business needs as well as maintain your payrole. That's just for starters. Then you need a product or service that people are willing to pay for consistently. |

I have an idea too, that I'm working on to help black families create legacies & build wealth for their children. (I'm serious, not making fun) What if when a new baby is born in a family, every family member who is able, donates $100 to a fund for that baby. Hopefully, it will be a minimum $1000 that can be invested over time. So, each baby gets their own investment account, that would of course, be held in trust until they're of age. The idea would be to let the account grow and grow until retirement-age. If someone dies, the fund is distributed amongst those born the same year as the person who died. ???

Doesn't sound like a bad idea Truth. You are "growing" that money while the child is growing and it stays in the family. |

Why not? I thought you would be the first person on board since you are very concerned about kids. You mean you would not want to start something that could improve the overall wealth of the black community which means the kids will benefit by having proper health care, food, schooling, etc. |
