One of my partners told me how his son was pissed at one of his called 'boy'. Apparently, his son found himself stranded on the other side of town and need ride home. He gives his 'boy' a call asking for ride and his 'boy' told him "no problem, I'm on my". After an hour pasted, he makes contact again only to find that "his boy" had gone to the movies. People are quick to call someone their friend, this has always amazed me. In your life experiences want did it take before someone earned the title "friend"? Who could you count on, come rain or shine, in time of need? |

That goes around and comes around. Most people make enemies with helpful people, and bend over backwards for people who wouldn't even consider having their back.

Sooner or later we all need someone to get our backs. Not saying you have to depend on others for the day to day issues but it's good to have a partner. Be it a spose, family, member or friend we all need support at times. |

But what we need and make impossible for ourselves to get are two different things. |

Trust - main thing for me is always trust. That's what it takes to be a friend. In the end, no matter what, if we can't trust each other, there is nothing to even pretend on. I can always count on my brother. I also have a couple of girl friends I know I can count on. One g/f drove over 500 miles to get me when my car died. She called in at her work / day's lost wages, just to pick me up. Then she let me and my brother borrow her car to drive back to pick the car up from the shop where it was fixed two weeks later. |
