If you really believe black men are killing each other because they have no father, then what makes you say black women are at fault for no fathers when they are not fathers? How are black women responsible? Edited by cisslybee2012, Feb 20 2012, 11:26 PM.

The mass murderers I mentioned pulled the shit off, bragged about it before they did it, killed themselves after they killed people. Those people got picked on, lived fucked up lives, and got shitted on through out life. Thugs actually get women, friends, and etc. They commit murder just for thrills. I actually have more respect for the people who I mentioned that bragged, because they were labeled as punks but had the highest death counts in one sitting. They also killed who they meant to kill. |

If black women and black girlfriends are to blame for black men killing other black men why are these same women not killing each other, if being raised in single parent households was the cause of black male homicide why are black women not filling the jails for killing each other and killing black men. This argument holds no water for poor choices and a lifestyle that is destructive that too many black men are leading. There are men who have left gangs, left behind a life of crime and changed their ways and many of them state the hard truth that the cause is ignorance, apathy, selfishness and greed. They did not care about anyone but themselves, they got caught in a way of life that is hard to leave and they often were in activities where they killed to protect a dubious drug deal or on behalf of their gang. |

This is how I see that Mal. I believe that "part" of the problem is households led by women. But it so many cases it's not just the woman's fault that she has to lead the household. Somewhere she has been let down by man/men. But I believe that the majority of the problem lies in the fact that black men have been neutered to the point that they have no power over community security. This is the result of a variety of factors. They range from lack of unity, racism, economics, lack of a viable "black social order", education, pride in self, ambivalence and many others. The number of issues facing black communities is monumental. The damage done is almost terminal in my opinion. |

I do not think being stupid is the issue as no one is born stupid. People do stupid things and behave in a stupid fashion. There are black men who have been in prison and been incarcerated for long periods and still turned themselves around so being stupid is not a condition. The issue is whether a man wants to change an whether their are the structures that will help him to change. We have all been in tight spots where we could have ended up doing something stupid but had the willpower to say no. I think as a community this is our most serious issue and yet we remain in denial about solutions and getting our young brothers back on track. |

You make a good point, Kenny. However, I maintain, and I don't have bias towards women, that the absence of men has had a negative effect on children. I could add that it's a common understanding that this is fact. You're probably the exception, Kenny. There's nothing wrong with being exceptional. |

I doubt I'm the exception and definitely don't consider myself exceptional. Some women are good parents, some aren't. Lumping them all into one stereotype is hardly fair though. |
