Before the Coonservative Republicoon, Uncle Toms try and claim that Richard Nixon had black peoples interests at heart and was a beacon for social change remember this, that Black Republican wants to ignore and sweep under the carpet. THE REPUBLICAN SOUTHERN STRATEGY. The Southern strategy refers to the Republican Party strategy of winning elections in Southern states by exploiting anti-African American racism, bigotry against blacks and fears of lawlessness and black crime among Southern white voters and appealing to their racism, insecurities and fear of black people. Many white Southern Democrats stopped supporting the party following the civil rights plank of the Democratic campaign in 1948 the African-American Civil Rights Movement, the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Voting Rights Act of 1965, and desegregation. The Republicans knew that to win the Southern vote they needed to harness white anger towards black people and thus the Southern strategy was developed. The Southern strategy was first adopted under future Republican WOULD BE PRESIDENT RICHARD NIXON WITH HIS FULL BACKING and Republican Senator Barry Goldwater in the 50s.The strategy was successful in some regards. It contributed to the electoral realignment of Southern states to the Republican Party, but at the expense of losing more than 90 percent of black voters to the Democratic Party. More recent examples of how this strategy works has been used by Republican presidential candidates Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum while on the campaign trial they both tried to use racism by inferring that black people are welfare dependant, are mostly on food stamps and do not work. |

The only messed up black that posts here is you Marcus. You are a middle aged man in your forties yet you spend everyday of what passes for your empty life posting degrading pictures of black women, negative comments about black women and derogatory statements abut black people. You post under 10 different names as if you have multiple personality syndrome. Yet you post the same bigoted, backwards, poorly thought out comments. You can pass this message onto nevergiveup, daisy duke, damn right, jimmy lee, hood boy and afieldnegro. Marcus you are the very definition of MESSED UP. |
