If the gov't is broke, then what's keeping the country running?

This is a rare interview by Malcolm X that he did with a lady name Eleanor Fischer in 1961. In this interview he said that as black people we have to lift ourselves by our bootstraps, that's my first time hearing him use that term. You can listen to this interview by clicking on the link below.

Malcolm X quote from that interview.

Having an opportunity to ride either on the front or the back or in the middle of someone else's bus doesn't dignify you. When you have your own bus, then you have dignity. When you have your own school, you have dignity. When you have your own country, you have dignity.

When you have something of your own, you have dignity. But whenever you are begging for a chance to participate in that which belongs to someone else, or use that which belongs to someone else, on an equal basis with the owner, that's not dignity. That's ignorance.

The — if I may add, for instance, King and these others will say that they are fighting for the Negro to have je — equal job opportunity. How can a group of people such as our people, who own no factories, have equal job opportunities competing against the race that owns the factories?

The only way the two can have equal job opportunities is if black people have factories as, as well as white people have factories. And then w — bl — we can —employ whites or we can employ blacks, just like they can employ whites or they can employ blacks.

But as long as the factories are in the hands of the whites, the housing is in the hands of the whites, the school system is in the hands of the whites, you have a situation where the blacks are constantly begging the whites can they use this or can they use that. That's not any kind of equal — equality of opportunity, nor does it lend tow — toward one's dignity.

That was in the early days of Malcolm X and his affiliation with the NOI.

So he spoke the words of his protege Elijah Poole.

And Poole was an egomaniacal con man who duped his congregation for money as do all other clergies.

He purposely misled them telling half, partial, and distorted truths, such as the 12 Goddesses of the Zodiac for instance. He called them the 12 scientist never mentioning the Goddesses, the Zodiac, or the source of this information.

As well he told partial truths about Yakub/ aka Jacob. He did not tell his followers where Yakub/ Jacob came from, at what period in history he lived, or what university he graduated from. Amongst other and even more outrageous bald faced lies he told his flock about life and the Gods in his pathetic attempt to glorify pathetic men like himself and play women down as their slaves.

Malcolm was just beginning to understand how he was being played, and unfortunately didn't live long enough to learn more.

Life isn't about competition. It's about growth. And for growth to occur, knowledge about it is necessary to obtain.

All Poole pulled off was his hoax in helping black men obtain some confidence for themselves which is at the expense of black women and children, and these people have to pay him money for. And the legacy Farra=con is carrying on. Making black men pay him for phony confidence.

Cisslybee what did Malcolm X say in that quote that you disagree with? Was it wrong for him to say that we should own our own bus company?

How the hell are we going to own a bus company if we don't deal with the government? And what's a black owned bus company going to do?

They can't just hire blacks.

Listen,

Most black men don't give two shits about the condition black people are in anywhere. Their whole argument and front is about copping some confidence for themselves where ever they can find it, and also don't give two shits whose expense this confidence they're looking for is at. It's about getting cash. And getting ass and fluff from black women with no strings, and making it with any woman who isn't black.

It's all about competition for them proving to nobody but on lookers that they got money, a car, a house, and a fine non black female or females on their arm. They just want to show off because they're stupid.

They're full of shit and cannot only be trusted, but taken seriously either.

Black men who really want to make a difference aren't concerned with competition or showing off. They don't try to use black women and make it with other women. They respect women and are willing to work with women as a team to make everlasting changes. You never hear them ranting about money, and they usually accomplish more in life than the phony competition runners with white people. :)

In short,

I'm saying that if you think all black people need is money and to own a company, then you're incredibly stupid. :)

Damn,

Don Cornelius owned his own company and just blew his fucking brains out. :ermm: Michael Jackson was rich and OD on dope because he was depressed. A lot of rich people if not most, are dope addicts because apparently money is not all that life is about.
