Ah...the 1980s.

You know, I ought to buy this movie.

Look closely...Sho nuff, one of the most epic villians of all time, was focusing his chi.

If not for my current...situation, I'd be tempted to by converse.

My girl, she's getting on a plane next week. I will hug her goodbye. She will walk away from me. I'll cry like a bitch and I don't give a fuck who knows it. She's worth crying over.

Come back to me baby cakes, come back. Come back, to us. We need you. We love you.

No regrets Sam.

On to guilty pleasures!

Making a snowman with my lover, snowball fight, then cuddle up with hot cocoa after the carnage to warm up!!

Winter time joys! Fucking awesome!

Well, the actress in one of my all time favorite movies just died, Mariangela Melato.
She did a movie named Swept Away in 1974. It also starred Giancarlo Giannini.
This movie couldn't be made today because it's politically incorrect. Madonna did do a remake a dozen years ago but it was politically correct and lost it's meaning.
Dee, I think you would like the movie as long as you don't mind subtitles for this italian film.

By the way, Giancarlo played Bond's associate in Casino Royale.

Due to unforeseen events, my girl didn't leave me as scheduled. I got to keep her for another week! But as of this morning, I'm without my girl.

I cried like a bitch, just as I suspected. My girl? No. She did not cry. She was stoic. She smiled. She held her head high. She hugged me so tight.

I whispered, "Come back to me." She looked at me with those piercing eyes of hers and she just smiled. She didn't promise anything. She just, smiled.

My last memory of her. Her smiling, back at me. As she walked away. She turned, once, and stood there. I might have seen tears, but she was too far away. She blew me a kiss. The man walking away with her, grabbed her hand, and they walked down the hall, hand in hand.

Baby cakes, I'll never love another woman like you. Come back to me. Come back to me. Come back to me. Come back to me.

Hey Paraffin, hope you had a chance to see Against All Odds. I've mentioned on more than a few occassions it's one of my very favorite films.

Swept Away is also in that same category. Rememeber, the 1974 original. Not the poor Madonna remake. When I first saw the movie in one those art theater houses around 1975/1976, it was dubbed in english. I have the dvd, subtitled. I don't know if the movie is available, dubbed.
A little trivia. Giancarlo's son reprised his father's role in the movie.
