The Purple Man is one of the most vile villains in comics.

In the comics, he used his mind control powers on Jessica, and other unfortunate women.

Jessica was able to free herself, but she was severely damaged afterward. Jean Grey of the X-Men played a key role with empowering Jessica, but due to the Disney/Fox thing, that team-up won't be seen in live action.

Jessica has an assortment of friends who helped her. One friend being Luke Cage. They wed & have a child together (not in that exact order). Jessica went to the same high school as Peter Parker.

After Jessica defeated him, Purple Man made the mistake of trying to control Luke Cage during a prison riot.

Lucky for the Purple Man, Steve Rogers (Captain America) was probably the only person to stop Luke's retribution.

Funny fact, it was Steve Rogers who persuaded Luke to marry Jessica after their baby, Danielle, was born.

When Cap says marry your baby mama, you should go at least give it a try.

I doubt we will see Danielle Cage in live action anytime soon, but the writers get a lot milage from her in the books.

She was named after Cage's best friend & partner Daniel Rand, aka Iron Fist.

The guy in the third panel is Spider-Man in his black suit.

The guy behind Danny is Doctor Strange. Danielle gets free medical.

This picture is hilarious.

Would you leave Wolverine with your baby?

Jessica & Luke went through a lot to find a super-powered, but stable, nanny.

Would you leave your baby with the Vision?

Danielle Cage is cute & cuddy now, but a time travel adventure revealed that apparently she will grow to be.......Captain America.

My luv (aka Saul), so glad to see you back!! I must discuss the new Star Wars with you.

First, are you a fan? If so, what is this one about? I must admit, I did miss the last two, so I'm going to watch before I see the new movie..

Give me your insight..(have you been reading on the uproar because a black guy is playing the lead :-/ )

Hello Red-Goddess,

I only watched the original three films back in the day. I am thinking of watching this new one.

I have read a lot of extreme views on John Boyega, the black British actor in the starring role, on various comic book boards.

It really shows how ignorant many people are.

The main three actors in the first trilogy were all mostly unknowns. I see no reason why John should not have been given the chance.

I am glad John is making the most out of this opportunity. He has also shown himself to be a class act by staying above the filth of some of the "fans".

These movies make a lot of money, they have loyal fans and followers. The holiday season is going to be nothing but Star Wars...

I loved the first three movies. I was kinda lost of what Lucas was doing with the last three. I will play catch up.

This young man, is doing the correct thing. Stay focus, do your job, and let the money, and hopefully future roles, come to you.

I saw a post of white people organizing a boycott of the movie, due to a lead being a black man. I would think the youth would be more open about race, however the older gen, I would expect this from.

But the youth??

It is a sad part of life for many fans of comics, and science fiction.

Often, the stories are actual allegories of racism, & other acts of human cruelty. The heroes take a stand against bigotry & hate in their stories. Ironically, some extreme fans actually show just how much they are part of the dark side with their bigotry when true diversity (not the token one character crap) is introduced.

You should see the lengths many fanatics go through to explain why these comic & science fiction franchises should remain straight white male.

A lot of extreme fans are pissed at Marvel for introducing more women, people or color, and LGBT characters into their stories. DC comics is also slowly following this trend.

These stories & franchises have room for everyone.

I was shocked by my brother's response to something I said. (the 2nd biggest comic nerd)

I said, they should make Superman, black, or Arab (brown)...

He said, why? His response, Superman was their creation, not ours. How would I like it, if someone took my creation, and altered it?

Well, I told him, the creators of Superman can make him whatever they want. They only reason, I feel they haven't, is because of the backlash, that might come with it.

We grew up reading comics, and never thought of them if terms of black/white, just superhero's..

I guess it's easier to accept a green man (Hulk), than a black one, for some..

However, I can't wait to see this...

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Some of the lines, are amazing. I can't get the trailer to post..
