Well, Shazam is a kid that can transform into an adult. The role is not terribly too deep. Black Adam is hard core, almost barbaric, but not terribly deep, either. I don't see the Rock ever trying his hand at deep roles. He is smart enough to know his limits. Redd.....I live to serve. |

I like the Rock. As long as the part doesn't require a lot of dialog, such as movies with Jet Li, then he might can make it work. He just has the same stance, same pose, same voice, etc.. in all of his movies. He doesn't have much range. He should really get an acting and stunt coach. Black Adam should be Wesley, Cheadle or Stringer Bell (lol). Who do you suggest, outside of you, that is.. Edited by reddgirl64, Jul 28 2014, 02:59 PM.

Let's take a look at Black Adam. He is a man of ancient middle-eastern origin. The Rock has that look down.![]() Being that he is centuries old, he is barbaric in battle. He does not discriminate when dealing out death to his enemies. ![]() ![]() ![]() Here are a few renditions of the Rock as Black Adam. ![]() ![]() ![]() Here is Black Adam with Shazam. ![]() Black Adam is powered by magic. He is as strong as Superman, plus Superman has no defense against magic based attacks. Unless Shazam or another magic based hero is lending a hand, Superman better use his brains if he hopes to win, much less survive a battle with Black Adam. Otherwise, Superman would have to leave his morality at the door, and fight Adam at full power. ![]() If the Rock can go back to his Scorpion King roots + wrestling heel persona, he could play Black Adam. Black Adam is a fan-favorite villain, as the Rock was. Wesley & Cheadle are too damn small for either roles. Both are under 6". Idris could conceivably play Adam, but I like Idris as a hero, and I would rather he play Green Lantern John Stewart, if anything. Edited by Doctor Magnus Warlock, Jul 28 2014, 04:29 PM.

I will admit, I don't know much about Black Adam... He sounds interesting, however. I knew you were going to say Don/Wesley were to small, they are. You will need to give The Rock some acting classes..lol When do you think, this film, will come to fruition? |

Black Adam is one of those cases where the archenemy may be more popular than the hero. Black has proven to be so popular, that he is something of an anti-hero in the books. Given the crisis, he may side with the heroes, or the villains. I love Wesley & Don, but they are half-pints in stature. I'd love to see a Blade & Iron Patriot team-up film from Marvel. It is only a matter of time before Shazam & Black Adam appear on film. The only questions are will it be a Shazam solo film, or part of the Justice League film. With the Rock tied to the characters now, it seems like a sure thing. The Rock generates revenue, and Warner Brothers desperately want DC to compete with Marvel in the film genre. If things continue to go as they are planning, I think they will bring these characters to film. The film industry is big, for Marvel and DC. Did you see Lucy? I haven't, but I might check it out. Interesting concept regarding the mind, and how powerful it is, when used. I remember Cis saying, can you imagine, if we allow our children's mind to go where ever, without putting out preconceived thoughts into their heads? |

Actually, the concept of humans using full brain power has been explored in the comics. Although, it has rarely been stated, the super soldier serum that powers Captain America also maximized his brain capacity. A DC character, Deathstroke, another antihero like Black Adam has access to 90% of his brain making him a tactical genius. ![]() http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deathstroke#Powers_and_abilities It was Lucy that knocked the Rock out the top box office. If I hear great word of mouth, I may buy the video when it's available on Amazon. Well....too many adults do make kids....dumber.....with their baggage. |

Lucasfilm Ltd. and Marvel Entertainment have announced three new comic book titles for the sci-fi franchise, starting in January 2015 with Star Wars by writer Jason Aaron. Aaron tells Marvel.com, "Every story is about the characters, and we'll focus on all the old favorites. There will be big moments for everyone, from Han to R2-D2. But a major part of the narrative will be driven by Luke Skywalker and his journey of discovery, a journey that will decide the fate of the entire galaxy." In February 2015, the comic Darth Vader will be released, followed by the five-issue limited series Princess Leia in March. |
