What happened to strong marriages that stood the test of time? Many of those marriages weren't strong at all. The women back then didn't have any options to live so they had to stay with their husbands even if he was abusive or a cheater. A lot of those marriages were great marriages in those days, the black community was a lot stronger then than it is now. Today the divorce rate is high in the black community, and look at all of the problems that we now have in the black community.

But black people that's under 40 years old they are having a hard time keeping their marriages together.

Back then a woman stayed with an abusive husband because she needed his income to live. A woman stayed with her husband that cheated, single mothers were outcasts back then. Women don't have to put up with that crap now because they're working and making their own money. You're in some serious denial or just ignorant about the dynamics of marriage back then
