Oh please, that would never happen. As much as people like to complain about the government, they also depend on it just as much....
Yup. I;m curious as to how Paul would pay for the military, infrastructure, police and firefighters. Student loans, scientific grants, etc etc. The list goes on and on
How did the government pay for those things for 200 years when there was no such things as income tax?

America was a very small country back then. What under a million? We know have 300 million citizens. Taxes have to pay for something. Do you think the shit that you take for granted is free?

I've already schooled DeShawn and the rest of the clones on the size of America. I'm under the impression they believe God created the US exactly as it is today 6 thousand years ago. Any significant historical data like nation sizes and actual population data is lost on them.

Did you know that in America nobody paid income taxes before the Civil War?

The Civil War cost America a lot of money and Abraham Lincoln set up the IRS to collect income tax to help pay for that War. Ron Paul said that nobody in America should have to pay taxes, and he said that if he becomes president he's going to try and get rid of all income taxes.

OK, I guess you like riding on dirt roads and using the out house. Before people start we should not pay any taxes, they need to look at the USA before certain were implement.
No public transportation
No interstate
No street lights
No police
No insurance on your money in the bank
No unemployment insurance
No food safety
No EPA ( lead in paints)
No Airports
No trains
No safety on anything ( could make a car that blows up)

Before you jump on the no tax band wagon, you need to see how life would be without taxes.

Life without taxes would affect a whole lot more than our roads.
There’s education. Without taxes to fund public schools, every parent would have to fork over the equivalent of private school tuition so their children could attend school. But wait! What about those parents who work 40 hours a week at the local hotel, but don’t earn enough to pay for their children to attend school?

What happens to them? Are they left out of the educational system? Are all kids given an equal environment in which to succeed?

There’s more. While your grandparents or parents may not have to pay for your children’s education, they would have to foot their entire health care bill. No more government funded Medicare programs to assist them with their doctor visits, mammograms, chemotherapy, or operations.

Here’s one more—public safety. Tax dollars presently pay for our local police and fire protection and, to a wider extent, state and national security. Take away tax dollars and all those services disappear. Oh sure, those fortunate few who can afford to hire personal bodyguards or pay for 24/7 home security systems may not notice much difference; except when it comes time to prosecute the individual for breaking into their home.

Then they’re left with the problem of trying to figure out who can adjudicate their grievance, just like the rest of us.
After all, the court system is primarily funded by tax dollars.

It was once said that, “Taxes are what we pay for a civilized society.”1 Oh,
what an appropriate remark.

There are things that Americans pay taxes on.

1. Americans pay income taxes.

2. When you buy something in the store you pay a sales tax.

3. If you own a house you pay property taxes.

4. If you invest in stocks, and mutual fund and sell from a profit, you have to pay the government a Capitol Gains tax.

5. If you own real estate and sell it you have to pay a Capitol Gain tax.

6. Then when you die your family got to pay a death tax.

The government is breaking the American people with all of these different taxes, it makes it hard for a lot of people to get ahead in life.

Would you like to live like those people 200 years ago. You know they did not have in door plumbing. They did not have lights in the house, heat or air. I know some of you blue collar people complain that gov't does not help you, but if it was not for gov't, we would not have in door plumbing.

Try to get ahead if you did not have to pay any taxes. If you need a road, you pay for it (cost 10 Million dollars)

Your child education (2 million dollars)

The money you pit in the bank, what will stop the bank from taking it.
If you save your money in your house, who will stop the thugs from taking it. Sure you will get ahead.

There's a reason income taxes are collected.

And even if they did do away with it, it wouldn't make a difference to anybody financially because it would made up for with a raised cost of living.
