Calling a black person "BUCKWHEAT" is derogetory in intent. What the child actor looked like has no bearing on the conversation other than he is black. It is, was and will continue to be an insult. It was intended as an insult. It was taken as an insult.

Trying to exuse this insult by saying "I've been saying this all my life" Indicates nothing other than you have had contempt for black people all your life.

I hope some black folks get it after this... The dmocrats are NOT our friends... They see themselvs as our protectors, saviours, controllers... in other words... Our Masters...

Yessa suh... bosss suh... Ise be Buckwheat long as you takes care a me suh...

This makes me sick to my spirit...

You are right and any black person with common sense would know that when a white person calls a black person Buckwheat that is a derogetory term.

Black people with common sense don't care. :)

It's the morons who think they know everything who are offended by what they are and their precious massa teasing them about it.

I think if People actually put the same focus on actual issues and problems as much as they do with Buckwheat, the World would have less problems in it!

Touche. ;)

But the biggest problem is that most people don't want to see themselves as the problem. They want look on to an entity to solve their problems for them. :-/

And complain about what others aren't doing for them. :'(

They refuse to see themselves as what everything is thriving on.

Perhaps you should tell the Congressman that boasted about his favorite way to address blacks, the same thing you just said, and maybe Congress could clean up their act.

Congress and their relentless search for a way to destroy Pres. Obama is an excellent example of how whites in power become predators of the little person regardless of ethnicity.

You know what bothers me the most about this kind of mind-set is the whites were the ones responsible for bringing blacks to America to begin with, all beit for the wrong reasons, but now that they are "stuck" with us they don't know how to get rid of us except to continually denigrate blacks, and other cultures. Is that really the way to solve problems?

And that my dear "Hazshawn" is the reason noone can do better. Until the wrongs have been righted, all of the focusing you try to force on people will not change a thing. The pendulum must swing the other direction somewhere along the line, it can't go to the right forever.

I'm 71 yrs old now and never in my life have I seen so much dissension among a nation of people following the election of a Black Man as President. You can call me an old crude, biased, opinionated person, but life has afforded me a lot more experience and knowledge than any book or College Professor could do.
