Not trying to butt heads Cissle, by all means! You are THE one person I do not want to tick off! I do see what you are trying to get across. It would be the same as a Black Person calling a White Woman "Shirley" after Shirley Temple or a White Man "Dennis" after Dennis The Menace. Neither of these characters were ugly, so why should a White Person be offended by the remark! Edited by Hazeshawn, Jul 31 2011, 04:04 AM.

Exactly. But stark backwards black people are offended by what they look like. That's why they see a natural black child as offensive. How in blazes is anybody like that not going to live on the bottom and be the laughing stock of the world? When black people come from the first people of the Earth? They deliberately created a bottom for themselves live in. Can't accept yourself? Then fine, Who else is going to accept you? I say the hell with them. They deserve to suffer. I don't care who calls me Buckwheat. You're a white man and you have said that you find black women visually attractive to look at. But you won't find too many black men who will say the same thing. Calling a black person "BUCKWHEAT" is derogetory in intent. What the child actor looked like has no bearing on the conversation other than he is black. It is, was and will continue to be an insult. It was intended as an insult. It was taken as an insult. Trying to exuse this insult by saying "I've been saying this all my life" Indicates nothing other than you have had contempt for black people all your life. I hope some black folks get it after this... The dmocrats are NOT our friends... They see themselvs as our protectors, saviours, controllers... in other words... Our Masters... Yessa suh... bosss suh... Ise be Buckwheat long as you takes care a me suh... This makes me sick to my spirit... Glenn D. |

It's derogatory to you because you're derogatory to yourself.

I'm not crying over the name... I am just saying that it was used as a slur. |
