As much as I feel Cornel is correct in his criticism, it appears his criticism is coming from personal hurt and anger.

His criticism is legitimate. He would have kept it secret and quiet if Obama had not "disrespected" him. This is the problem people.

Our influential african americans are staying quiet because of gifts from Obama and his administration. But when these gifts stop they revolt and start complaining.

Al sharpton will do the same. When the gifts stop or Obama gets mad at him he will turn as well.

The big problem is that a legitimate criticism discredited by suggesting the attacks were personal.

Obama has done and will do nothing for us ( i pray he changes his heart). The leaders know it and see it. But they will support and cheerlead for him because of personal favors.

That is sad and is letting us down.

peace.

Obama disrespected his own black pastor and his own black church, so I'm not surprised that Obama disrespected Cornel West. Obama only cares about himself.

Co-sign keith7 and Marcus, I totally agree with you on those points.

As far as Dr. West, all his personal slights with the man aside, he has very valid and astute criticisms against Obama and I am quite pleased he's woken up and finally seen what kind of person he is.

I am pleased as well that at least he is bringing out points that Obamas supporters need to know.

peace.

Chagak you are right Cornel West is making some good valid points about Obama. The question is will black people be better off when Obama leave office?

I like Cornel West I like people that say what's in their heart, and don't care what nobody think of them.
