Maybe 700 or so years ago in Japan, Europe, China, but those people were usualy Nobilty or couples that were fine with both of them doing it.

Nasty Newt is not the first nor the last in a long line of Christian Republicans who preach against infidelity yet have no problem committing it themselves every time you blink. John McCain left his the wife who waited patiently for him while he was a POW to marry a lot younger women with ties to politics. Rush Limbaugh has been married like 4 times. One Republican politician has been married 3 times and he has literally, each time, married the woman he cheated on the previous wife with. I'm just waiting for number 4.
Democrat Senator John Edwards cheated on his wife when she was sick with cancer, and got another woman pregnant. Democrat Jesse Jackson cheated on his wife and got another woman pregnant. Democrat Bill Clinton had oral sex in the white house.
