No reponse for my statements?
Yes, blazing your own trail and following your own path is hopefully what we ALL inspire to do. To thine own self be true!
Then why do these guys keep idolizing complete strangers? The only thing they have in common is their skin color and gender. Black men that make us proud are not the guys you see on TV. It's the guys we see everyday doing rather pedestrian things like supporting their famailies, being a loyal friend, being a honest, dilligient employee, being a faithful lover, guys who are simply great human beings without EVER recieving or expecting fanfare for it. You know, the guys you will never see on the news, or read about on a message board. Why the hell do I want to throw rose pedals on the feet of some guy I never met in person?
I see your point Sam.

I think it was nice to make this thread. Which I mentioned way back in one of my first posts to this thread. If any of these morons noticed, I did mention I thought this post was nice before I pointed out the hypocrisies.

It was nice to honor those who have done good things, but these morons definitely only praised those in the media and made no mention of regular every day people. And that is what is truly sad.

Azucar and these bozos have totally missed what we both were trying to convey. Malcolm X, during his Detroit Red & Satan years, symbolized everything that was wrong with the Black Man in America. He was a thief, drug dealer, drug addict, whore monger, and a pimp. Then, he finally hit a wall, and started on a path to true enlightenment. He further evolved from a black separtist to a true humanist. These bozos want to take bits and pieces of the histories of these men to push their own self-righteous hypocritical agendas. You would never hear Malcolm slander black women with zeal like these bozos do. Because of his own past, he would do what he could to understand that sister's way of thinking, then offer a path that would hopefully elevate her, and let her know that the world has so much more to offer than shaking her money maker at a club. No, these bozos want to stone any black person who does not do things their way. Their is a word for that: Facism. Instead of posting pictures of Martin & Malcolm, they ought to be posting pictures of Benito Mussolini. Hell, you got Black Pharoh trash-talking mixed race folks, he sound an awful lot like Hitler.

As Chad Ochocinco would say: Child Please!

Are you saying that black people shouldn't honor brothers like Dr. King and Malcolm X, who put their lives
on the line to make things better for us?

Wow, I really do think Marcus runs around here with multiple alter egos. Marcus always reponds to someone's statements with a stupid azz question. Like Marcus, you did not even bother to read my statement. I am pretty sure those guys did not want to be remembered simply because you feel that they did not make you look bad. Don't forget, MLK was actually an unfaithful spouse. J. Edgar Hoover tried to use that as leverage to quite MLK, & ruin his marriage. This does not take away from the fact that MLK made it possible for black folks today to enjoy opportunities previous generations did not.

Sam Wilson are you black, I'm just curious based on what you just said about Dr. King. No pictures or anything has ever been presented that Dr. King did anything wrong, I would never take the U.S. Government word on Dr. King.

Sam when Sybil has no real answer or retort for your statements, he likes to deflect with a question out left field. Like the question above...

Are you familiar with COINTELPRO? J. Edgar Hoover illegally tapped phones, planted bugs in peoples' rooms, planted moles in various groups of he felt was Un-American. Did you know moles were placed in the Nation of Islam to monitor the group's activities? If you ever viewed pictures of the aftermath of Malcolm X's assasignation, one of the black men seen trying to give Malcolm mouth-to-mouth was a mole. By illegally wire tapping phones & placing listening devices inside rooms, Hoover discovered that MLK was an adulterer. Hoover did the same thing to the Kennedys. The sad thing about the black moles was that many were never officially declared as being part of the various law enforcement agencies they were working for due to the color of their skin. Yet, they were welcolmed into the black organizations they were secretly monitoring, or in some cases trying to destroy from the inside.

Sam do you trust the U.S. Government, the U.S. Government said that they had proof that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. America invaded Iraq and 1000's of innocent people was killed, and the proof that they claimed to have was nothing but a pack of lies. If the Government would lie about that you know they would make up lies on Dr. King, they have never produced any tapes or eveidence proving that Dr. King did wrong.
