A cyberbully. That is incredibly laughable. I am sorry that you feel threatened. Funny though. So you say you will not ask why they keep posting the same dumb shit over and over, yet this is about the second or third time you asked why some of us were so called bringing negativity to this thread. Very interesting. Why is your concern only with how black men are talked about but you have no care about what is said about black women? Is it because you are one of those white women who takes joy in the bashing of black women all while coming to the defense of black men. Interesting Keep in mind your mixed children will be seen as black women and will be lumped into the same lets bash black women category. If you dont like what I say and feel threatened because I am a cyberbully. Stop reading or commenting. And no one cares if you dont curse online. Really save the I am a saint crap for others. Even in your fake positivity people can see your bias. So you are not any better than anyone else. |

And at the end of the day, Still no one answered Tayter or I about the hypocrisy. Why do some men get a pass like Michael Steele for his sex scandal and a few others for their known infidelity and multiple baby mothers and other celebrity males get ragged on. The rationale was that these men are not in the media looking bad, but a sex scandal was in the media and it made him look bad, and the known infidelity of others makes them look bad. The statement was made that the private lives of people are of no concern only the media is, yet they seem concerned with the private lives of black men and women everywhere and judge them every moment they get. And no one ever answers. HYPOCRISY! |

Thank you shutupalready for sharing your opinion. I'm glad not everybody in the world thinks the same; can you imagine how boring that would be? I will just continue praising the beautiful men I see on this thread. You can continue to do what you do. I guess our philosophies are even reflected in our names. Azucar means 'sugar' in Spanish. Shutupalready means ?? |

She didnt give me a real response for mine either. I asked her why she does not comment when black women are being degraded but only cares so much when black men are and that was her response. Sillyness. |

Yes, blazing your own trail and following your own path is hopefully what we ALL inspire to do. To thine own self be true! |

It means just what it says and it was directed towards the morons on this board. SHUTUPALREADY! And please dont give me that philosophies are reflected in our names crap. What I do and say here is just one facet of my life and does not reflect me entirely. Now if your posts here reflect all of you and your philosophies, I empathize for your sad life. |

Then why do these guys keep idolizing complete strangers? The only thing they have in common is their skin color and gender. Black men that make us proud are not the guys you see on TV. It's the guys we see everyday doing rather pedestrian things like supporting their famailies, being a loyal friend, being a honest, dilligient employee, being a faithful lover, guys who are simply great human beings without EVER recieving or expecting fanfare for it. You know, the guys you will never see on the news, or read about on a message board. Why the hell do I want to throw rose pedals on the feet of some guy I never met in person? |

But Shutupalready, Whenever I read your posts, I have the instrumental to Prince's "Housequake" playing in the back of my head. I mean really, really! Don't you hear the horns in the background as well? |

That is your right, but I think you are missing out. Of course, the men in our immediate communities that are doing the right thing should be admired. But people like MLK Jr., Malcolm X, the AA scientists, astronauts, and doctors, etc. can INSPIRE us. Even though I am a white woman, I use many of these men as role models. All students, regardless of their race, should know about the accomplishments of these men. Their success can stand on their own and can teach young people about pathways to success, resiliancy, and perserverance. ... and I think their stories can be particularly benefitial to the young African American men.
