The postive post about black women, black men didn't go in there saying negative things.

So it's hard to believe that a black woman would come in here and say negative them about these good black men.
So we should just pretend like these men haven't done negative things to bring shame on the black race in the media?

And actually I pointed out some of the negative things about some of the women in the other thread.

Why are you ignoring what I said about Michael Steele though? You know its true and have no real argument right? Yes that is what I thought.

So, would I be correct in assuming that just because these "men" you all have displayed on here appear to be good samratans ,that they make you proud because none of them have any faults like WE do? In my life time I have yet to meet or hear of someone who is perfect in all that they do. I understand what you all are saying about the need to be civilized when on the "world stage" Years ago when I heard my first Richard Pryor album I tolerated his language because I was just listening but when I saw him in person and others that followed I became disenchanted with the "mouth's"

But for you all to go out of your way to post pictures of entertainers, for the most part, as being to only ones you can be proud of is stretching it a little too far. I know there must be others that are not in the limelight that make you proud. And don't forget if you can't control what a person says to your face you definitely can't control what they will say or do in front of millions, a captive audience is just like a drug to some and they will use whatever means to get /hold the attention they feel they deserve.
Everybody has faults

Barack and Michelle Obama has faults, but when they get on national television that represent
black people in a positive way. They don't get on television and do anything to embarrass us or shame
our race, and for that I have respect for them. Now what they do in the privacy of their home I don't get into all of that.

And yet you are worried about what hundreds of black females do in private. What they wear, who they sleep with....

But you don't care about what famous people do in their private lives, why is that??

KNOWLEDGE.

Why are you ignoring the fact that he had a sex scandal though? Should we over look that. Nevergiveup said he overlooks things that they do privately, but this was made public?
I did not know anything about that. I just read about it a few minutes ago. That was too funny. Seriously, Michael Steele is a Str8-up uncle tom. Any black man that would publicly apologize to Rush Limbaugh on TV should have his black azz kicked.
Obama denounced his black pastor and left his black church in order to please white. Obama did that in order to get a position from white people, so based on that is Obama an Uncle Tom?
Was that a rhetorical question? It is funny how you always respond to people's comments with a question. Rush Limbaugh has been denegrating black for a good twenty years. Michael Steele was asked if Rush was the voice of the Republican party after Obama was voted into office. He pretty much responded to the question with: negro (to the reporter) please, I am the voice to the republican party, suckah! Mere days after the broadcast, Steele is publically apologizing to Rush. A man with his political power cowering before a radio talk show personality. Over the years, Rush has blasted black folks as a whole, or insulted particular people, and never felt the need or pressure to apologize. It is one thing for Rush to disagree or pick apart a person's idealogy, but he goes further and insults a person's hairstyle, mannerisms, style os speech, etc. I remember when he was on Donahue, he was upset because the audience kept making fun of his weight. He kept reponding that folks should debate his philosphy, not his appearance. Years later, as it turns out, the clown is revealed as a pill popper. Mister high & mighty was a dope fiend. Michael Steele bowed down to this clown. I don't see much difference between Michael Steele and Lil Wayne. Any black man that would drop to his knees for someone like Rush does not make me proud.

Wow.

I can't believe that a simple thread can be started about promoting the good, POSITIVE things about 'black men that make us proud' and it still gets bogged down in negativity. We are all human. Both men and women have good and 'not so good' things about them. This is a thread about the GOOD things. Why can't we just leave it at that and appreciate this thread for what it is????

Azucar,

When I was a kid, I read so many books about black history. I also studied the various philosophies of black leaders throughtout the history of America. Due to their struggles and sacrificies, we enjoy so much freedom. These knuckleheads here seem to think we should be this hive mind race. We are not. We enjoy choices our fallen warriors did not. We have the power to look in the mirror, create a game plan, go into the world, and make it happen. Even if you don't reach that goal, chances are that the adventures you experienced along the way will help you grow as person, and present other oppotunities for success & happiness. We don't need to look for leadership in anybody but ourselves now. These bozos want to put people they never met on pedals, or throw stones at women for only being entertainers.

Be your own leader, follow your own path. This is what made our heroes great. All Jackie Robinson did was follow is dream with class & dignity. He inspired millions. He never represented me, he inspired me. Lil Wayne does not represent me, he makes me laugh.

^^^Well said Sam....

Azucar I'm not trying to take away the good that these men have done in their lives. It's a wonderful thing, but nevergiveup and others are being hypocites. I just want to understand how can someone lift up these men in this thread, yet tear down other men in others. They say what happens in people's private lives doesn't matter, yet they talk all day about the private lives of men that so call "shame" them. I don't get it and no one has yet to give an explaination.

Azucar,

I am truly getting tired of your feigned concern.

I do not care if you do not like what I say. I do not care if you think what I am saying is negative.

Where is your fucking outcry when the morons on this board post the same negativity over and over and over and over again?

I do not see you asking why they keep posting the same negative dumb shit over again.

Cut the bullshit. You know exactly the point I am trying to make.

These fucking morons harp on everything they deem wrong with black women. They harp on other black men who have done things like have multiple children and baby mommas, they harp on men who are cheaters and players or whatever have you.

But then they give these guys a pass. And pass it off with their illogical reasoning that these people do not make them look bad in the media when in reality some of them do.

SO I AM GOING TO POINT OUT THEIR STUPIDITY. I AM GOING TO POINT OUT THEIR HYPOCRISY.

AND I DO NOT GIVE A FLYING FUCK WHAT YOU THINK.

I had hope for you, but I am seriously about to lump you in with the rest of these morons.

I do not have a 'fucking outcry about morons on this board'.
I will not ask why they keep posting the same'negative 'dumb shit' over again.
I will not 'cut the bullshit' cause I don't have any.
It doesn't bother me that you don't 'give a flying fuck' about me.
I don't care that you are about to lump me in with these 'morons'.

You come across as an adult cyberbully. We teach our middle school students not to behave this way when they are online.

I learned many many years ago that there are things in life that I have no control over. I can only be responsible for myself. One of the things I CAN control is my attitude, so I choose to go through life being as positive a person as I can possibly be. You will not see me on here cussing, talking people down, trying to call people out, etc. There is nothing to be gained for me by having a negative attitude. A year from now, nobody will remember what I posted on this board, but they may remember that I was fair, tried to always be positive, and maybe gave somebody something to think about.

Thank you Azucar this is a post to honor the positive black men in our race, in my wildest dream I didn't think that black women would come in here and try to trash it.
