These examples are all well and good but what about the everyday people?
When a black person gets on television and does something negative the whole world sees it, and that paints a negative picture of black people. So I'm trying to show black people that get on television and show us in a positive light.

I'm trying to focus on how we are seen in the media.
And you can control this through AFN/Zeta board? We are all very much aware of how things appear on TV but are these people really a picture of our culture as a whole in an unquestionable manner? I have no problem with you being proud of whomever you wish to be proud of. But, you have to inject some reality into the scene also. Life is not about images, it's about reality.

So, would I be correct in assuming that just because these "men" you all have displayed on here appear to be good samratans ,that they make you proud because none of them have any faults like WE do? In my life time I have yet to meet or hear of someone who is perfect in all that they do. I understand what you all are saying about the need to be civilized when on the "world stage" Years ago when I heard my first Richard Pryor album I tolerated his language because I was just listening but when I saw him in person and others that followed I became disenchanted with the "mouth's"

But for you all to go out of your way to post pictures of entertainers, for the most part, as being to only ones you can be proud of is stretching it a little too far. I know there must be others that are not in the limelight that make you proud. And don't forget if you can't control what a person says to your face you definitely can't control what they will say or do in front of millions, a captive audience is just like a drug to some and they will use whatever means to get /hold the attention they feel they deserve.

He is going to come in here and say that he only is focusing on people that look bad in the media.

That is all he cares about, a superficial representation.

Everybody has faults

Barack and Michelle Obama has faults, but when they get on national television that represent
black people in a positive way. They don't get on television and do anything to embarrass us or shame
our race, and for that I have respect for them. Now what they do in the privacy of their home I don't get into all of that.

It's sad how much negative energry you have tried to put into this post. These are positive black men and you are going around trying to find something negative to say about them.

As a black woman you should really be ASHAME of yourself.
