When a black person gets on television and does something negative the whole world sees it, and that paints a negative picture of black people. So I'm trying to show black people that get on television and show us in a positive light.

I'm trying to focus on how we are seen in the media.

Why are you only concerned about how you look on television?

You should care about how you represent yourself and how everyday people make you proud.

Do you even make yourself proud?

Television shapes the image of us as black people, in this interview Katie Couric said that the Cosby Show changed her view of black people

What about those instances where they are a "positive image" on TV or whatever media, but are azzholes in real life. You don't really know these people off-screen so what's to praise? I can appreciate what they have done but lets' not get carried away with the righteous thingy. OK? IMO the focus should be cleaning up the entire culture starting with SELF.

Again why are you so concerned about what people think about you in the media.

I am not worried if Katie Couric watched the Cosby show and it changed her view of black folks.

I take time to make sure that I represent myself in a positive light and I show regular everyday white folks how great I am.

Most intelligent people realize that what you see on the television is not an accurate depiction of all those in one race.

So that comment Katie Couric made was rather moronic.

Stop letting people on television be your representatives and represent yourself.
