Let's do something different. It is so easy to just point fingers at the opposite sex. Let us look inward for a spell. We all have flaws. Some flaws we know we should change for the better. However, we have flaws that we have no intention of changing. Some flaws actually enable us to excel in school, sports, work, etc. If anyone wants to be candid, please do so. Just list some of the things you do that tick-off, or drive away your lover(s). Please do not list any messiah flaws. When I saw messiah flaws, I mean the following: I was too nice, or too giving, and he/she still did me wrong.

I will list some of my flaws:
I'm a real life chocolate coated Ebenezer Scrooge - I am cheap & money hungry
I'm not a terribly out-going, charismatic man, but I love variety in women too much to settle down
I am a real slob - you should see my room
I spend way too much time on the internet

I probably could have structured this topic better. But I think you all get the gist of it.

If it were up to me, I would sleep until 10am every morning.
I do not like to shop, except at International food market.
I get very frustrated when other people do not clean up after themselves or take care of their stuff.
I also spend too much time on the Internet.
I'm a little bit of a math nerd
I don't go to the gym 2x a week like I should.
If I stumble upon a good book, you may not see me for 2 days.
I can be way too frugal, but I am terrified at taking on any debt.
I've been accused of being too much of a 'mother hen' with my kids.
Although I am politically very socially liberal, I can be too fiscally conservative.

wow...I could go on...but I better stop, lol.

I'm treat every woman right that I date, but I'm not a romantic person. A woman that's looking for a real romantic person might be disappointed in me.

Sam,
I commend you for your honesty. There is wisdom in this post in the sense that most people are finger pointers. They look at the faults of others and not their own.

You have taken a leap of faith and exposed what most people refer to as personal secrets, in doing so, you have in a sense opened your aladins lamp. You will grow and you will change because you took the first step. I was raised in a family where we were taught the world was coming to an end and it may, but worrying about it won't help one bit.. Gloom and doom was always preached to me, as a result, I became very fearful. Those fears almost wrecked my life and I learned a very important lesson. Fear will kill you! Your goal should be to become fearless. Then you will rise in the ranks where you belong and never again be a slave to fear. Happiness is the absence of fear. You will also find that not many people will respond to this post.

You know I was hoping for more of a reponse to this thread. The problem with most of the finger pointers on this site is they think they manure don't stink.

Thanks so much. However, I don't think their is anything wrong with having fear. I think it makes a person that much stronger if they follow an unknown path (being a single parent, first generation to attend college, actively pursuing a job promotion, etc.) without a blueprint. If something is easy, everyone would do it. I think a person can stand strong, yet be afraid at the same time. The fact that I was afraid of challenges, yet still held my ground, and found a way to win made the victories in my life that much more sweet.

My personality flaw is I get nervous when I see a bunch of black folks together, I feel like I'm getting ready to be robbed.
