What they've been taught is that a man is not a requirement for happiness. What they've been taught is they can get educated and support themselves. What they've been taught is they no longer have to settle for the playa who brings nothing to the table and can wait on a man of quality. |

You have unwittingly supported my quoted post in your reply. The items you listed of what BW are taught runs consistent with those I listed. Take another good look and think about it. Edited by Mister J, Jan 11 2011, 12:16 PM.

Not exactly. You posted this "That their mama's, grand-mama's, aunts, etc., have conditioned them to not expect one? That they have been taught to live their life as if no 'husband' will be a part of it?" I don't believe that's true. I don't know one mother on the planet that doesn't expect their daughter to have a husband at some point in their life. The difference now is those women can be a bit more selective. Gone are the days when a woman felt like an "old maid" if she wasn't married by a certain age and ended up with some loser. Men have to measure up in 2011 |

So you're fed up with your black mother and sisters? Damn right please stop making yourself look like a fool when you make that statement that includes all black women if you're part of a black family. |

Loretta I'm fed up with black women when it comes to dating. Let me say this, black women today are not in the same category as our mothers and grandmothers, let's make that clear. Our mothers and grandmother were married before having kids and they sure didn't have an attitude like a lot of these young black women today. Edited by Damn Right, Jan 11 2011, 06:31 PM.
