^^ This is a fair observation and recommendation.
But, the problem is not only in asking for and welcoming 'help'... but mostly in not getting PROPER 'help'.
Plenty of talking-heads are more than willing to run their mouths, but few are QUALIFIED to actually 'help' a BM get sufficiently 'over' emotional/self-esteem trauma, stemming from intimate relationships.

Man, I am black man and I have been married for seventeen years to a black woman. Of those seventeen years, seventeen have been full of crap. From buy clothes and shoes all the time to paying the bills late and damn near ruining our credit. You may say that I am stupid but she has the two things that a man must have, Face and Ass. It may be some crap, but three of my best friends have white wives and they never complain about their spouses. I don't know if its because they are really that good to them or if they have issuses, they really don't want anyone to know because society says that they shouldn't have hooked up anyway. Nonetheless, they seem happy. Their kids are great and not "thuggin", and their bottom line is on point. So, is a black woman worth the trouble?
Sounds like you neglected to show her how to manage certain things, such as credit and paying bills on time. Those don't seem like monumental failures.

Are BW worth the 'trouble'?
Yes, many ARE worth going thru some difficulty to develop a beneficial and lasting bond and grow a family with.

OTOH, there are many who are not.

I guess you gotta know "when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em".
