Virtually all of the Republicans I know don't even think that abortion should be a political issue. The debate should be among family, church, counselors, etc......but not in the political arena. The Republicans I know are concerned about JOBS and the economy. |

How long does it take for people to realize, all it takes is someone to complain long and loud enough to get a law enacted? The hole thing started because the Catholics said it was a sin (so much for their definition of sin), anyway when the AMA decided it could be done safely in the proper surroundings, if extenuating circumstances are harmful to fetus or mother. Then someone else said no the Dr.'s are baby killers. Then someone else said no it's a matter of life or death for one or both. The case of prayer being removed from public is a prime example of someone screaming until she was heard. There's Adams law, Jenny's law etc, etc. All borne out of someone screaming loudly about an issue that is dear to them. The flip side of those issues and laws is if people acted like they had some sense, instead of heathens, and that goes for everybody walking the face of the earth, there wouldn't be a need for the Fed Gov then the State to make /ammend laws for things which are personal. The Govt. has no right to tell me or any other woman what she can/can't do to her body when faced with a life threatening situation . There are many medical reasons for a Physician to perform one. So that decision should be between Dr. & Patient. The patient can take it up with God then it becomes an issues between patient and God. NO ONE ELSE'S BUSINESS! |

There is no excuse for a woman getting pregnant today, if a woman gets pregnant today it's just because she wanted to. |

I agree 100%. I am pro-choice and believe that the government has no right to tell a woman what she can do or cannot do. The government needs to stay OUT of the abortion debate! And I am glad that taxpayers will no longer be required to pay for abortions in DC. No government money should be going to paying for abortions, either in the US or abroad. It is a private matter, not a government one. Edited by Azucar, Apr 9 2011, 05:27 AM.

There are over 10 different birth control methods for women today. And condoms are distributed free in many communities. Women need to take care of their bodies and be pro-active with their health. |

They wouldn't be getting pregnant if you all would keep the sausage zipped up until you're ready to face responsibility. All of the BC methods that have been produced so far are NOT 100% safe, NONE of them. I know too many "pill, diaphram, coil, and rubber babies". BTW why does the woman have to be the ONLY one to try to prevent pregnancy? See that's another part of the problem you all want the "stuff" the way you want it but you also want the woman/girl to take the wrap if there is an oopsy following the nakedness. Get out of here with your half-wit self. I'll be glad when they approve the "pill/shot" for men as a method of BC then we'll see how many women get pregnant and whether you punks will even bother to protect yourselves from unwanted/unneeded pregnancies. |
