a Black Child during slavery had a better chance

I was reading that a black child born during slavery had a better chance of growing up
with two parents in the home, than a black child today

In 1960 only 23% black kids were born out of wedlock

But today over 72% of black kids are born out of wedlock

so are you saying Christanity has failed blacks? It seems that you are making a case that the morality of blacks have gotten worst. If that is the case, what the hell is Christanity, opium?

Black people morals has gotten worse

Black people had high morals after slavery

Black people had high morals in the 1920's, in those days you wouldn't
catch a black woman having babies and she's not married

But today when it comes to morals black people have let themselves go, black people
have gone down hill real bad in the morals department

Do you want to know why?

Because back during my day, an unwed mother,(that was the term used back in the day) was ostracized!
She brought SHAME down upon her family! In many churches, if she was a member, she had to stand up in front of the church members, and APOLOGIZE to the entire church! If she was lucky, she might go "up North" to stay with a relative. In many cases, she returned back a year or two, without a child, because her aunt or cousin adopted the child. As far as the young man goes, if the girl became pregnant, and he was still around, her father and his father met along with him, and asked him,"what are you going to do? In a majority of cases, he married the girl even if he didn't want. If the girl didn't get married, and wasn't lucky to go out of town, she was shunned! If you had a sister who was her friend, your mother told your sister to "stay away from her, because the next thing you know, hanging around with her, you'll be having a baby". Abortion was unheard of in the Black community!

Fast forward to 2010!

To shun here today, would be tantamount to calling her an "Aunt Jemima"!

It wouldn't be "Politically Correct"!

We were warned years ago that this would happen!

You are 100% right

Now when a young girl gets pregnant she is praised, and she will get a big
elaborate baby shower

Morals in the black community have gone downhill real bad

Thanks for those articles
