A lot of people criticize blacks that date outside their race, but if you think about it a lot of people that we admire are the product of interracial parents, I'm going to show some of them. Some people say they are against interracial dating but then they will turn around and talk about how beautiful Halle Berry is. Now wait a minute it took a black man having sex with a white woman to produce Halle Berry. |

I have questions about a few of these persons identified as being biracial. Such as Tim Duncan, Goapele, the girl from "Fresh Prince" (who I thought was just pure Panamanian), Phillip Michael Thomas and the lead from En Vogue. Those are the most surprising to me. As renowned as they are/were, I'm just utterly shocked and stunned that EBONY/JET or some other negro pulication didn't inform us of this. Especially since they LOVE to tell us about who's "mixed," etc. I'll never forget how in a January '92 JET cover story of of Halle Berry (where most of Black America first learned of her being biracial), one of the first things mentioned is her "deadbeat," no good Black father. The truth is Halle has an unspoken disdain for darker complexioned Black men. One because of her father and two because of her taking a beating from the dark-skinned Wesley Snipes early in her career. Just look at her dating choices after Snipes--David Justice (where's that high yella negro now?), Eric Benet (surprised someone didn't put him here claiming he too is biracial.), the light-skinned actor w/blue eyes from "Barbershop." To now a white Australian whom she wed. Her leading men in film post her Oscar win were Hugh Jackman, Bruce Willis and 007 himself. Coincidence? I think not. |

Samboslaya you make a very good point, Ebony and Jet has gotten slack when it come to research. Damn near half of that blacks in Hollywood got a White mother Then we have to ask the question does having a White parent help you become successful in America 1. If Obama didn't have a White mother would he be the president 2. If Obama didn't have a White mother, would White people have accepted him and supported him the way that they have Most of his financial backing came from White people |

People talk about how beautifil Halle Berry is, and they talk about how beautiful Alicia Keys is Are mixed people seen as the standard of beauty in the Black community? We use to hear people say things like oh she's cute, she has good hair |
