Elevator are you saying that black men shouldn't talk about what they've been through, damn some woman must really have you trained.
No Big Mike... I'm not saying that at all. I do however suggest that we communicate with intelligence, and honesty. I has probably been a black man longer than most guys here. ( in my 50's) What I have noticed is many guys blaiming their own shortcomings, and misunderstandings on others. To the contrary I do think we as black men need to talk... We need to communicate with our youngers, our elders, and our each others. But we need to talk... not whine, and complain. I believe that all men, and black men in particular should debate, and converse from a position of strength. Yes... I do get tired of the constant blaiming of our black women for every malady that beset's us. Tradesmen have a saying... " It's a poor mechanic who blames his tools." Women are and will always be women. IMO any man who puts too much faith in a woman is bound to be stung. Get over it. It's a fact of life. Once we have a basic understanding of women... It should be fairly easy to get along with them. This isnt restricted to black women... Some guys are constantly lamenting about a woman being unfaithfull... But no one ever says anything about the guy she cheated with... Isnt he equally guilty? Didnt he break a man-law? No Big Mike... I'm not trained by any woman other than my Mother.... Who taught me to fend for myself, so that I'd never be beholden to any woman. No my brothers... women are not that complicated. In fact they are very predictable... Black women in particular. Women will break your heart, women will cheat on you, women will try to deflate your ego... If you let them. More opinion to come... Glenn Elevator I'm just glad to see black men opening up and talking about what they have been through, because too often brothers just keep things inside. There are a lot of brothers out here doing the right thing, and sisters are doing them wrong.
I know a guy that paid child supports for years, and later came to find out hat the child wasn't this. Because he was a good man the woman lied and told him that he was the baby father. She was sleeping around with other men, and she got pregnant by one of her outside men. That kind of stuff goes on all of the time. How many men are paying child support for babies that's not theirs.

But there is no shortage of sisters who have done the right thing... and been done wrong by a brother. It takes two to tango son...
Man up and take responsibility for yourself. Sometimes this forum sounds like a bunch of old washer-women sitting around bitc#ing about other peoples business. Talking just to have something negative to say. I must say... I believe thats a definate female trait. Not to call into question anyones manhood... But for a dude... you and all your incarnations do a whole lot of bitc#ing.... based on what you have heard.
Sounds to me like someone might be a great big grease fa@@ot trying to get men to give them a play. Otherwise why the constant negetivity?

The young man that I mentioned was doing all of the right things, but that still didn't help because as he stated all of the women that he dated cheated on him. It's not easy to find a good honest woman in this world. It's not easy to find good honest people in general.

The woman in the older generation were ladies and knew how to act and behave. But the younger generation is mainly about self. In marriage and relationships we do not consider the other person's feelings and relationships today have become more about using others to get what you want. We have become too selfish toady.

That's a very great point that you just made, this generation of blacks are more selfish. We see it even in church, people are praying for money and material things. In church today it's about me, me me, they say God is going to give me this, God is going to give me that and you don't really see people in church today focus on their soul, and people take that same selfish mindset into relationships.
