Thanks for asking, Big Mike .. Al though things have improved over the years, I continue taking special care in picking my friends and reaching out while staying mindful of over-reaching. I sincerely hope all is well in your world too. Edited by Jan, Feb 12 2010, 07:51 PM.

When it became against the law for parents to spank kids, things went downhill |

It happened before then. When social services started 'taking care of' kids and not families. They are quick to jump in for a child, without ever talking to the family or making changes in the household- jobs, food, utilities and other things that a kid needs. -The lack of jobs in the Black community by exporting them overseas- Take away the labor jobs, and you have a country full of idle workers that still have bills to pay. Worsened in the Technological Revolution (mid 70s) when automation started making cars, household items and consumer electronics. The Midwest jobs were drying up and every business was looking at the bottom line. Headquartered in a big building that never had to see the people on the ground, and CEO's living outside the city that they took the jobs from. Then turn on the news and shake their heads at the disgusting conditions that the city has become. I consider that hypocritical. NAFTA further harmed the Black Family. There are so many examples of Whites writing laws, that actually does a disservice to the Black community as a whole. Example: Some states are regulating Hair Braiding and requiring licensing. (NC & SC) This was something that was in the Black Family since the dawn of time. And no licenses were needed then. Why is a cultural thing being licensed? |

Mayo in the 1930's during the Great depression Black people couldn't find a job, but Black kids during the Great Depression wasn't even acting bad like that. Black kids in slavery wasn't even acting bad like that. |

Some kids just shot up a church yesterday, they went in there and shot two teenage boys. It's time for the adults to take back the community from these kids. |

Yes I heard about that on the news, some of these kids today don't respect the church or anything else Just last week some young girls beat up another girl on the subway, they showed the video on the news, and they were kicking that young girl in the head while she was laying on the ground It's time for the Black community to say hell enough is enough |

We as black folks have decided to let white folks dictate how we raise our childeren. Back in the day we were laughing and joking how the white mom would tell her kids to stop like 10 times before they acknowledge her. It only took a "look" from a black parent back then. Now blacks kids are getting away with same crap. Everybody is afraid of the system. When you don't rely on the system to feed your kids or put roofs over your heads you won't be afraid to do what it takes to properly raise your kids. When it's time for an ass whipping, i'm gonna deliver. |
