I truly don't get the point of this thread. Interracial dating is nothing new. "Regular" brothers have been dating non-black women since before any of us were born. |

Ms. Tayter, The point is to make black women feel bad. But they're not getting the response they're looking for. In other words, they want black women to whine about black men dating out of the race. And nobody here is doing that.

Just a bad case of jungle fever. President Obama has made it OK for white girls to step over to the dark side for a little fun. Let's see if this fad lasts. My bet is that it won't. At the end of the day, stuff that's too hot not to cool down ALWAYS cools down. Case in point: I can think of four, successful brothafriends off the top of my head who either dated or were married to white women. They eventually divorced or broke up with these women and every one of them returned to dating/marrying black women. |

And, as I have said in another post, if these white women choose to have children by these black men, they'd better be ready to STAY on the dark side-- white men will no longer prize them. Black women are also dating more white men, nothing new. People are less inhibited and feel free to date whomever they choose. I love black on black love, and I can't see myself with any other than a black man, however date whomever makes you happy. If I lose out on a certain black man because he chose a non black woman, so be it. I won't blame the other woman, nor will I blame myself and I certainly won't be trying to figure out "what is it about her that makes him want to be with her and commit" I will just know that I'm not right for him and more importantly, he's not right for me. The U.S. has a European standard of beauty, we all know that, so if a certain man is attractive to those features, so be it. I'm not at all buying into the "black woman with an attitude, gold digger" garbage. Im not buying into all the superficial reasons why black men date and marry non black women. I have ran into some of the worse black men in my day, but it doesn't make me wanna run away from them or become gay. If these black men are running away and not stepping up to support and rebulid our families and communities then bye! you're no use to me anyway. |
