This is a stupid topic
Agreed.
Why is something stupid if it questions you or ask the same question you ask of others in different ways? I ask several of my white friends the same question and they had to think about it. They thought it was a question that they had never heard before. Why do you think it is so stupid? This is not for you White man, I am still wondering what happened today with the young lady causing you to run away. This is for Elle.
It's stupid because it's impossible to answer. It's like me asking, "How come every black person in America is not poor"? Especially if blacks have been so behind whites opportunity-wise like you say they have been.
Elle do you really think that I am asking a stupid question? Perhaps you are feeling too personal about your own families production ,or lack of, in America. Let's get personal. Why isn't your family wealthy? What has stopped you, it is not the color of you skin? What has your family achieved of any grate significance since they have been in America?
It's a stupid question, yes, because there are millions of variables and you are addressing only one: skin color.
Forget skin. Let's use your white family as a case study. When did you get here and what has your blood line accomplished of any significance with the time and resources that you had in America?
I could say anything, Olmec. I could say I'm the richest person in America or the poorest. What difference does it make in regards to your question? Like I said, there are too many variables to being poor.
What is so hard about giving a synopsis of your families accomplishments in America? I tell you what is stupid, your jive deflection to this question. This is not like you. What do you want to know?

What do you want to know? Elle, what is going on?
I ask a question in my post that white economists have viewed as a reasonable question. My other white friends thought that it warrants study. Where did all the slave masters money go, they had free labor for centuries? If white people did not have any of the problems Blacks had why are there still so many poor and lower middle class whites? The average American only makes $35,000 a year. What has your family achieved with the time and resources they have been afforded by America?
I ask you to use your family as an example and you act like I am writing Greek. White man allowed a young girl to make him run from the question when she questioned his manhood. She said he was not man enough to answer the question straight up and he did not.
This question is far from being stupid and it is making you and White man uncomfortable.

My maternal great-great-grandfather was a doctor and my great-grandfather and grandfather owned a successful small business for many years. My paternal grandfather was a pilot in WWII and later owned his own small business.
Now, please explain to me why this is relevant.

Your family should be well off by now, are they?
My family and other Black families have gone through a nightmare in America. However, we were feature in a national paper as having more medical doctors in our family than most families in America. We have attended Harvard, Princeton, MIT and many other top schools. We have a long line of fighters for the country dating back to 1746. I am not saying this to brag but to question why one family or people do more with the resources than others.
To me it is fascinating. What is the difference between our families? Why have we achieved more than your family? We had the Klan killing our family members and our women needing to be moved north to protect them from rape. What was the biggest problem your family had? What do poor white and working class white families think about black families that have out produced them with less? I know what they think about the black families they out produce.
I would love to see the Rand corporation do a study on why some people and families have achieved more in spite of a hostile environment. Perhaps it could help families in America and possibly yours.

No, we should be asking what qualifies you and any one like you to even question poor results from blacks if your families have marginal results and you had more to start with?
Until your family proves that it is qualified, it is just another white family that has not achieved to its fullest potential. You should be questioning why so many white families don't come close to the production of many black families?
Elle, you have so many poor white families to deal with why would you spend time on poor black families. Do you know any poor white families that are becoming millionaires and billionaires without hitting the lottery? I know many black poor families that are rising to the top of America.
If I were you I would concentrate on white people and your own family.

This is very helpful to me.
I think it's great when people who come from less achieve great things. Great for your family. I consider my family successful as well. Now, what we must ask ourselves is this: Why did your black family achieve greatness yet some blacks are still using excuses like slavery for their shortcomings? If your family could do it, all blacks should be able to (according to your logic), correct?
No, we should be asking what qualifies you and any one like you to even question poor results from blacks if your families have marginal results and you had more to start with? Until your family proves that it is qualified, it is just another white family that has not achieved to its fullest potential. You should be questioning why so many white families don't come close to the production of many black families? Elle, you have so many poor white families to deal with why would you spend time on poor black families. Do you know any poor white families that are becoming millionaires and billionaires without hitting the lottery? I know many black poor families that are rising to the top of America. If I were you I would concentrate on white people and your own family. Why are you getting so offensive? I can't speak for the white community, just like you can't speak for the black community.
I'd like to think that my family has done well for themselves. My own family, for example, started poor but became millionaires from hard work and dedication.
I don't provide excuses for anyone, period. You should stop making excuses for the black community as well, you aren't doing them a favor.

I just think you should be posting things and writing on things about poor white people they need your constructive criticism more than poor blacks.
It just blows my mind to see you spend time commenting on poor blacks while some of them surpassed you and your family in a fraction of the time.
Where are your priorities and focus? I think you are indicative of many white people, you are looking out when you should be looking at your own problems.
