If you can name one field of endeavor that white males are not declining in I will stop posting for 24 hrs. Auto, cede that to Asians Manufacturing, cede that China Electronic, cede that to Japan Sports, cede that to Blacks Entertainment, cede that to women and minorities Finance, cede that to China and the Arabs Golf, cede that to Black, if you can call him that Space travel, cede that to Russians Venture capital, cede that to Indians and Asians. Military, cede that to women and minorities. Computer programming, cede that to Indians Advanced engineering degrees, cede that to Asians, Indians Birth rate, cede that to the Mexicans. Religion, cede that to the Muslims. Farming, cede that to South America Robotics, cede that to Japan Just name one area that White males are not declining in and I will stop posting for 24 hrs. This is very alarming to me because we are all dependent on white males in some way. The country still does not have enough women and minorities to fill the void. Don't give me some jive talk and deflection, just facts. |

Aren't less males attending college and receiving degrees every year? I think I read that somewhere. It's not uncommon for there to be more females on college campuses than males. Is it strictly a white issue or is it a male issue? |

Let’s take engineering, who is losing by women, minorities and foreigners becoming engineers? http://www.nber.org/digest/jan05/w10554.html "In 1966, U.S.-born white males received 71 percent of science and engineering PhDs… By the year 2000, (it was) just 35 percent." |

This could possibly be because the field has become more diverse and the whites are getting weeded out by higher performing minorities (women included). |

Are white males ceding these million dollar jobs because they think Blacks need them? Blacks are now becoming coaches and owners. http://www.questia.com/googleScholar.qst;jsessionid=LJhM0WF3j2LmQMkLn5DjTv07TqsHL2pvyMX1FnSRQ1XHg5Gw1Lry!505129329!351573012?docId=5002259241 The founding of the major professional sport leagues of baseball, football, and basketball occupy centrally significant portions of the U.S. sports history. Although their ages vary--baseball is the eldest at nearly 125 years old, basketball is the youngest at 50, and football is 75--they all commenced as all-white enclaves. From being lily white in player composition at their conception, today African-Americans comprise approximately 79% of NBA rosters, 65% of NFL line ups, and 18% of MLB teams (about 18 % of MLB players are Hispanic). Obviously there has been a skyrocketing in African-American participation (Lapchick & Benedict, 1994). |

Now you are seeing my point exactly. I am very alarmed because my fortunes are tied to white males that are retreating in every field of endeavor. I need you to give me facts that I am wrong, not some personal jive. Our country is at stake. Young, Male, White -- and Fairly Treated The Washington Post | December 23, 2003 | . (Hide copyright information) Copyright As a high school teacher for almost 30 years, I agree with Patrick Welsh's observation ["Young, Male, White -- and Confused," Outlook, Dec. 14] that some of today's white adolescent males are confused about their place in society and in school. As a group they have been pushed from the top of the high school social pyramid in academics, athletics and leadership.
