Really white man, is this news to you? During slavery times there were slaves all over the world. There were slave owners in Africa, Africans enslaving other Africans. In Europe white europeans enslaving other europeans. America was actually the 1st place to abolish slavery.
Slavery still goes on today are you surprised?

Facts:
-Black people sold their own into slavery.
-Most people in general did not own slaves: they were far too expensive.
-Of the small percentage who did own slaves, the majority owned very few.
-Most slaves were treated as employees. Who would buy such expensive "property" and could afford to beat it senseless so it couldn't work efficiently? Doesn't make sense.
-Many slaves *chose* to stay and work for their former owners after they were freed.
-Was slavery wrong? Yes. However, was every single slave beaten every day to a bloody pulp? No.
Elle have you ever been to the blacks in wax museum? Or have you read some books of slavery, been to a school where they teach african history and culture?
*Africans did sell there own into slavery, but the number sold doesn't even begin to compare to the number of africans that were stole
*Yes, not a lot of whites owned slaves but I Do Not Give A Fuck. Its estimated that 15 million africans left there country to be slaves, and over 8 million died.
*Oh so you must have been a slave that's how you know of their treatment from there masters am I right? No slaves were slaves and treated as such
*Many slaves didn't "choose" to stay as slaves, there was enough brutality and murder to frighten them in to staying.
*Was slavery wrong? Yes, but what whites have done for centuries is beyond wrong. Was every slave beaten to a bloody pulp? Does every slave have to be beaten to a bloody pulp to make white people understand that this is our history. It wasn't just some freak incident that should be forgotten swept under the rug and never heard of.

Posted Image Oh look every one, its peter. Being treated like a employee.
Posted Image Damn Elle you were right, sure does look like these slaves being chain together and thrown on top of each other with no room to move are having a good time. Although I don't think I see you in there so I'm still not sure how you knew of this wonderful time.

That is the problem- most history books are written to be ultra-sensitive to blacks instead of telling it like it was. Like I said, slavery was bad. However, textbooks don't talk about the actual number of whites who owned slaves and how many they owned. In one of my college classes, my professor asked us (the class was about 90% black) to guess how many slaves on average did white people who had slaves own. Black students shouted outrageous numbers, "100!" "57!" "49!". My teacher said, "Actually, 4". The students couldn't believe it because history books had lied to them.

I understand that this is America's history, not just African American history.

I believe that for the Blacks they want reparations for slavery they want it to come from the government, just like it came from the government when the Japanese, Jews, and American Indians were paid. It would be foolish to ask one race to pay another race, whether it be Black or white. People simply want the atrocity (slavery, Jim Crow, Black Wall Street) to be recognized financially just as the government has for other races that have been wronged.

America has a Black persident, so couldn't he say that the Government should pay Black decendent of slaves reparations, does Obama support reparations?

Obama would not support reparations because he does not want to known as the president with the "Black Agenda". I don't support reparations; it's not going to fix race relations at all. I just want to be treated fairly in the work place.

I didn't learn any of this in a text book, unfortunately I had a hands on experience to learn this when I was in grade school. If anything in middle and high school our text books briefly spoke of slavery making it seem like nothing and even during black history month we didn't hear much of slavery.
As I said before I don't care how many slaves the average white man owned back then, it still doesn't change the fact !5 million were stole from africa and sold all over this country. Also the brain learns from making mistakes, elle I don't expect you to know every thing in white history because you're white. You can't do better until you know better, did you know the answer to your teachers question before he told you? Any way I haven't seen any text books stating that a white man owned 50 and 100 slaves, where in the world did you hear that from?

Or maybe he doesn't support them because he knows the money will just turn right back around going to whites and Asians, through jewelry, cars, etc.
Dave Chappelle made a skit on it, it was so funny lol.
