When a Black Female has a Black supervisor (Male) and his is married to a white woman? But at work he makes comments like you do not know your job,but you have asked for written job description and verbal explanation but he cannot give direct anwsers without consulting with others, he does not include me in all job activities(admin. secretary at college in student life dept). are when i go go to himwith personal problems the whole staff has to know but their information is kept private.. had to go on a nine month leave last year due to medical issues, 1. Cancer scare 2.Gall bladder issues, and much stress from working under this employer, but also found out that i was pregnant unexpectly it was a oops. was using BC. many crazy issues have taken allnecessary steps allowed by dept. rules to transfer to another job in another area 11 years tenure. do not want to leave because of benefits. had to go and attend media classes for employee diffrences, had representative to help with employee relations, it is not a union, State is Arizona examples it took him 3 years to learn how to read e-mails and even how get access to them white girl use to do everything for him but he would take thecredit, Ii Feel he is a uncle tom. Must take lunch daily at 12noon to 1pm but eveyone else can come and go as they please, they all come in late leave early, but get paid 40 hours. and that is okay with him.. had got really sick last week e-mailed him to let him know that i would be not tkaing my lunch because i had to go to the doctor, e-mail because he was out of the office for two days, asked someone to cover th e desk. he got upset.amd said i did not follow procedures, but my diagnoses was pnuemonia, viral infection and flu. came back to work for 3 days was suffering he would walk by and pretend he did not notice that i was sick. until the 3rd day when another employee called in sickand he made the comment that she got it from. a employee representative had to come and visit him and let him know that the policy if anyone is sick coughing, etc. should stay home until they feel better, sohe had to let me go he was not happy. there is so much more that is unfair treatment, but how do you cope? Our school vice president just got a promotion to this title is Black also, but before he became VP he would talk with me and said he would do whatever to help me out,but now that he has become VP he ignores me and has backdowned on his promises. there are a lot of crazy politics that go with with org. so what is a solution other than to quit because i need my job and enjoy the company i work for just not my dept. |

I'm sorry to hear about your sickness Your supervisior might be an Uncle Tom, when some Black people get a little position, they get the BIG HEAD. When some Black people get a littl job promotion, then you can't tell them nothing. One thing for sure is that guy on your job is very unprofessional. The Bible say you reap what you sow, trust me that guy is going to get what's coming to him. You don't have to quit, everything is going to work itself out |
