Ryan's Survival Guide to College!!!

Step #1 Make some good friends in your classes.-It really helps to have two brains instead of one!

Step #2 DO NOT PARTY.....tooo much! Hanging out with your friends is ok but don't stay up all night. And no booze!!!

Step #3 Sleep is key!-Sleep in an essential part of staying awake in those crazy boring classes. No matter how dull that darn professor in that big study hall is Don't sleep!!!!!

Step #4 Quoting from Junsu "Make use of all campus resources" From expierience: Explore your area around the campus and everything on campus. Ask lots of questions and have some fun exploring. You never know what fun acivities you may find to do in your spare time.

Step#5 Do study alot if only for brief periods of time. But study often because being currently fresh with your content can help on certain surprise exams!!!

Step #6 Enjoy your college expierience!!! -It only happens once when your young so make it a time you are proud of and a time you won't regret. A time you will look back on in the years after and say to yourself..."I loved college and I tried my best and succeeded.

Step #7 Take many classes. If you don't know what you want to do or be then try a variety of hats on. See what interests you and try it out. Who knows??? You may discover your dream!!!

Hmmm... I guess here's some I thought of (of course they don't always apply to EVERYTHING/EVERYONE, but you get a small idea of what to look out/ahead for)

Be careful of parties - it'll get in the way of academics and stuff cuz there'll be parties everyday (especially watch out for the drinking) Be above the influence

Don't Procrastinate - even tho most ppl do (you'll spend your sleepless nights doing papers, lol) Things will stack up and it'll be a PAIN to do them all in one night -- trust me -.-;; MANAGE YOUR TIME WISELY

Join clubs or groups or w/e to get to know more people and broaden your horizons

Don't worry about being homesick in the first couple weeks of moving in -- you'll soon get use to it, meet new people, love the place and probably never wanna go back home

Really get to know your professors and ask for help whenever -- you never know what each professor can help you with or have connections to a career path you've been looking for

Get to know some upper classmen in your field and they might be able to help you with picking classes or professors (finding the good and the bad)

By sophomore or Junior year, you'll probably end up switching majors or declaring majors and minors based on what you've experienced in the first or second year (you'll get a better understanding of what you want compared to what you are thinking now before your first year at college)

Use all the resources you're given by the college -- you're paying them, you might as well use everything (ie: library, sports center, etc).. and try to plan a semester to go abroad (you'll most likely love it)

If you don't wanna go abroad, getting an internship in what you like to do is extremely important for a successful future (especially with the economy and competition nowadays from college students)

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY OF ALL: pick/major in something that you absolutely LOVE doing -- nothing hurts more than living a regretful life doing something that you hate
Junsu would be the one to write an essay on what not to do and what to do in college :P
thats what i was thinking too lawl.
