RPG-D Character Information: Character's Full Name: Tobi Age: 157 Gender: Male Faction: Assassin's Guild Race: Kitsune - bito (Fox folk) Physical Description: Tobi is a kitsune, a fox-demon from the plains of Terona. He stands just a little under six feet and is covered with red fur, except for his chest (which has white fur) and his hands and feet (which has brown fur). He has a pair of red fox ears on top of his head and two red furry fox tail. His eyes are blue, almost like sapphires. He wears a white robe, which covers his entire body (it also hides his tail) and a hood which hides his face. He likes to wear straw sandals because it doesn't make much of a noise. He likes being mysterious and hides a variety of items in his robe, mostly smoke bombs and other chemicals to get out of a situation. He can transform into a fox, in which case he would look like any other fox. He transforms into a red fox. Personality Description: Tobi can be described as a cunning yet friendly folk. He like to help others, but most of the time he does it for a purpose. Because of an incident that happened long ago, he believe that everyone should be subjected to a fair trial and he has a strong sense of justice. Yet his desire for revenge is clouding that sense. His whole life revolves around revenge on his enemies. He believes no one should die, yet those who doesn't deserve to live should be punished, not killed. He likes to use his head a lot and he is extremely smart. Tobi doesn't like fighting, and tends to stay out of one if he can. When he is not out there plotting revenge, Tobi likes having fun, but his definition of fun includes scaring people and someone getting hurt (not badly though). He seems to be always in a good mood and carries a strange smile on his face. Most people see him as a friendly and help fellow, not someone seeking revenge. Character History: Tobi was once the head wizard of a Kitsune clan and his original name was Darik. At a young age, he was trained in healing magic and the ways of the shaman and he grew up to be a major figure within his clan. At age sixteen he fought back a large group of marauding goblins and six years later, he led a victorious campaign against human raiders who were terrorizing the village. He was well respected by people of his own clan as well as others. Due to his job as head wizard, Tobi felt a strong sense of helping others. After all, a person who does good deeds is also rewarded. However in Tobi's case, this wasn't true. On his sixtieth birthday, a group of his enemies murdered the beloved chief and blamed it on him. By that time, Tobi had accumulated too much power and the other clansmen feared he will try to take over. And so they tried to kill him, but Tobi escaped before the assassins can reach him. However he was officially declared an enemy of the Kitsune and now every clan was looking for him. With nowhere left to go, Tobi fled into the swamps and hid there. It was there that Tobi discovered an old Nezumi necromancer. He was fascinated by necromancy and decided to learn from the Nezumi. Tobi stayed with the old necromancer for nearly 50 years, learning everything he could from him. He also learned the way of stealth and how to render himself partially invisible. This made him an excellent assassin. When the old Nezumi died, Tobi buried his body and left the swamps, seeking employment. But first, he wanted to test out his skills. He changed his name to Tobi and secretly sneaked back into the his clan. By that time, his enemy was ruling over the clan and one night, Tobi killed him without being seen. News of this spread like wildfire throughout the region and soon the Rangers knew. Then the Assassin's Guild received this message and asked Tobi to become of their member. Tobi agreed, knowing that this would help him achieve his goal. After he joined the Assassin's Guild, he went on several more killing missions, all of which are successful. He made so much money he doesn't even know where to spend them. So he donated most of what he had to the orphanages at Azural (using a servant, since foxes weren't welcomed in a human city). He constantly switches sides, depending on the mission and the pay. However Tobi only accept jobs that meets his strong sense of justice. Skills, Powers, and Abilities: Tobi's first ability is Necromancy. However he has yet to master this ability. He can raise weak monsters from the dead to serve them, but this only works on things that was killed recently. Also the success rate of his spells are around 50%, meaning that half the time his spells won't work. Tobi rarely uses his necromancy powers, since it has a long casting time and requires a lot of mana. Tobi's second ability is that he can transform into a red fox with two tails. He uses this form to cover long distances and sneak around narrow alleyways of the city. He doesn't use this form either, as he likes to keep himself clean. However for missions, he transforms to avoid being seen. Tobi's last ability is perhaps his most useful one. And that is he can render himself partially invisible. When this ability is cast, he disappears from view, allowing him to move effectively without being seen. The drawback to this is that it leaves a faint silver outline of him, and this outline becomes obvious when he moves or when there is light. Nevertheless it is a helpful ability that saved his life countless times. On top of this, Tobi is very fast. His style of combat is to use lighting fast speed to inflict lethal wounds to the opponent. What he lacks in physical strength, he can make up in speed. His high stamina allows him to cover long distances without being tired. Character Equipment: Tobi does not carry any obvious weapons. The weapons he carries includes shurikens, throwing knives, and poison darts, which he uses to take out enemies far away. He also carries several smoke bombs and powders on his belt, most of which causes the enemy to go blind or a second, or create a stinky smell that distracts people. Most of the time he uses these for pranks, but sometimes he uses them on his missions as well. When he in a serious fight, he would use a small short sword, hidden within his cloak. Although he is not the head wizard anymore, Tobi still wears a small purple ring that symbolizes his status. He wears this because he constantly want to remind himself of his purpose and mission. He also has a silver necklace. It has no special powers, just a family heirloom. Likes: Eating, sleeping, having fun, his job, and money Dislikes: Kitsunes, humans, war, and killing Habits: He is always seen smiling, no matter what the mood. Strengths: Necromancy, ability to transform, can render himself invisible, and very fast. Weaknesses: Physically weak, weak against light magic, and he cannot fully control his necromancy powers. Other: His mission in life is to make all his enemies suffer until they beg to be killed. He also enjoys seafood very much and he can be seen in Kiro a lot. |
