Jakrah walked up to a small hill and stared at the beautiful blue lake below him. The sun was about to set and already the water was beginning to turn red. All around the lake, animals were coming out to feed on the green grass and drink from the lake. Jakrah even spotted his new horse (his other one was killed at An-Havva.) It was such a beautiful sight. When I'm not on duty, I should come here more often Jakrah thought to himself. This was probably the only place in the world where he can escape the war. But he knew sooner or later the Necropolis will attack here and all this beauty will be lost. Jakrah sighed and began to walk down from the hill. He was tired from a day of patrolling and was planning to lie down on the grass and take a small nap before reporting back to headquarters. |

Near a hill and a lake a ma was walking down a hill. He was being observed by a panther. This was no ordinary panther, you could tell by the gold stripe that ran down his black back. This was a cenurian named Viclo Haram. He was hidden within a stand of trees. He was watching the man, because Viclo knew the man was ranger, and so was he. He decided to go meet this other ranger, but was going to test the man first. He wanted to see whether or not the man would realize what he was. Viclo walked out of the trees and walked toward the man. When he got to the man he kept walking forward a little bit, and then laid down and trained his eyes on the man. He hoped the man would realize who he was, but he was also looking for a little fun. |

Jakrah sensed someone nearby was watching him. However he did not want to make a hasty move so he did not get up. However his right hand was traveling to his back, where he kept his long dagger. When he found it, he slowly pulled out the dagger and unsheathed it. Smiling, he sat up and said, "Come out, whoever you are. There is no point in spying on me." |

The man got up from where he was sitting and asked for whoever was watching him to get up. Viclo decide to reveal him self. The panther with the golden stripe walked in front of the man and regarded him with his piercing yellow eyes. Watch this. Viclo thought to himself. Viclo concentrated and began to transform. First fur began to recede into his body, except for the tail, revealing skin and a tight leather outfit. He looked like a naked panther in clothing. The transformation process was ugly. Then his front paws began to change into feet, and muscles grew stronger. Viclo straightened up after that to stand up on his two feet. Muscles in his hands strengthened and the claws receded into his body, and hands were formed. The last to form was his head. It flattened from the long Panther head to a human head. The eyes moved to the center of his head, and the nose became a human nose. Finally he was fully formed. Remaining was the yellow eyes and the black tail. “Hey what’s up? Sorry about the transformation, it’s not too pretty.” Viclo said. “Oh, by the way, my name is Viclo Haram and I am a ranger like you.” |

"Nice to meet you Vilco," Jakrah said, smiling. He got up and walked closer to the man. "This is about the last peaceful place on this world." He looked around the area, at the animals that were grazing and drinking. He couldn't imagine what would happen if the Necropolis attacked here, like they attacked An-Havva. |

"The last peaceful place on this world? I don't really think so." Viclo thought he knew what the man was talking about. "Well, actually maybe it is, maybe it hasn't been touched by the war. That's what you were thinking about right. Sure it my be beautiful, but don't think that it is the last place. Once we win this war, we will bring everything back, and make everywhere peaceful." Viclo looked around at the animals the trees. "Listen, you got to stay positive, all right. We will win the war." Viclo said. He went to the tree and sat down. |

"We will win," Jakrah said and added a short cruel laugh. "No my friend, we are losing. Despite what the Haven Council tells us, we are losing. Even as we speak the Necropolis is gathering the largest army ever assembled and we won't be ready when it strikes. You were present during the Battle of An-Havva and you saw the extent of the Necropolis army. How can we win when our troops are not even better than mere goblins?" |

"Yes, I was present. Yes I saw the extent." Viclo remembered back to the battle and the creature he know knew to be a wraith that he fought. "I fought one of thier commanders, a wraith, and I held my own for a while. I was eventually defeated, but I kept fighting because I had to, because if they won, it would nto be by anything I did." Viclo looked at the man. HE seemed to be losing face in the war. "Don't lose faith. We also may have allies in unlikely places. The amges guild. Yes they are nothing better than mercenaries, but I know of one assasin that might be willing to help us, if we can find him." Viclo pulled out the disk with the fox on it that Tetro had dropped before. "Have you ever seen this before? I met this man, and he was being pursured by Necropolis agent's because he had assasinated a high sleeper agent. HE is on the run from the Necropolis. If we can make contact, and offer him something he might come over to our side. He is very good. He has evaded the agents two times now. What do you think, should we try that." |

"I have met him," Jakrah said. "He evaded me and another Ranger in Azurath and escaped. I still don't think he can be trusted though, he is an assassin and we don't know who he is working for. What if he turns against us?" (Sorry for the short post.) |

"Waht if he tunrns against us?" Viclo echoed. "Isn't there always that danger, even with loyal armies. They can alwasy turn on you and betray you. So it will just be a normal risk, and why not, he doesn't seem to actually like necropolis." Viclo waited for the man's answer. |
