Mage Clans - Kitsune
|
The small boat carrying Tetroneaque came to rest on the shore near Kiro. As it beached itself, the jostling woke up it's only occupant. The masked Kitsune woozily sat up and looked around, slightly confused. "What? Where am I? This isn't home." He said as he looked around. He'd expected to be back with the Mage Clans. Instead he was near some human town that reeked of fish. Of course he knew he himself wasn't smelling all that great either with his escape through the sewers the night before. Thus the first thing on his agenda was to find a nice inn, get a hot bath, and have his clothing washed. He hopped out of the boat. As soon as he left the small vessel, it simply vanished. Tetroneaque shook his head. Blasted mages... I guess my next assignment is somewhere here. I wish they would have told me that earlier. Bah! Humans! He thought to himself as he tromped into town. |

Mage Clans - Elemental

Amy watched the town of Kiro from a nearby hill. The bushes and trees shielded her from the nearby guards. The town is unusually quiet today and Amy guessed it was because everyone was just tired after a week of hard work. Then, a spirit came out of the trees. "Do you know what your mission is?" "Find the assassin. Tell him his next mission and escort him to the location," Amy said. "Good. The masters expect this simple mission to be completed on time," the spirit said. Then it disappeared. Amy turned back to the village and continued to stare at it for awhile. Then she quietly began making her towards the town. |

Tetroneaque noticed that practically everyone he came across seemed to move a great distance out of his way, all were holding their noses too. Tetroneaque knew he stank, and stank bad. He just wished the humans in town wouldn't be such jerks about it. Let's see you all run through a necromancers lair full of corpses and then escape through a sewer and see if you smell any better. Jerks. He thought to himself as he trudged through town. He made his way toward one of the finer inns in the town, a place called "The Happy Dragon". That was a bit of a humorous name, at least to Tetroneaque who knew that dragons were anything but happy. He tossed open the door and entered. "Can I help you sir?" The owner asked in a disdainful manner. He at least had the manners to not hold his nose, though it did wrinkle in disgust. Tetroneaque chose to ignore that. "Yes, I need the best room you have, a hot bath, and some clean bandages please." Tetroneaque said being quite direct. He pulled out one of the bags he'd taken from the late Lord Goring's home and poured some of the contents onto the counter. Precious gems and metals came out in a shower, causing the owner to suddenly burst into a huge grin. "Yes sir! Right away! I'll have the cooks send up a meal as well if you like. You need anything else, please don't hesitate to ask." The owner said with the most polite manner. Tetroneaque laughed on the inside, marveling at what a bit of wealth could do to humans. It suited his purposes for the time being though so he didn't mind. The owner pulled out a key and motioned for Tetroneaque to follow him up the stairs. "You'll be staying in the grand suite. It has a lovely view of the water front, a balcony, and it's own fireplace as well. I'll have my men bring up a tub and some hot water for your bath. If you leave your clothing outside while you bath, I'll have them clean it for you as well." It was the most polite way of saying 'You stink' that Tetroneaque had ever heard, but it was a good idea. "That sounds fine. I want my privacy though." Tetroneaque stated and pulled out a large gold coin from his robe. He pressed it into the man's hand as he took the key from him. Tetroneaque entered the room and waited for the workers to bring up the tub and water. It didn't take long, as the owner wanted to keep the big spender happy. After ten minutes the tub was filled with steaming hot water and the two boys had left the room. Tetroneaque undressed, taking all his valuables out of his robe and stacking them next to the bed for the time being. He listened for any movement outside his door, and hearing none he opened it quickly and placed his dirty clothes outside. "You can come clean my clothes now!" He called and then shut and locked the door. He didn't need anyone seeing his furry form and blowing his cover here. He eased himself into the tub and let out a contented sigh. The soap had a rather pleasant smell of lilacs. It wasn't overpowering like the perfume from the manor, and seemed quite natural. Tetroneaque was happy with it and began to scrub the filth from his fur as he soaked in the tub. "Ahhhh. This feels so good." He let out a contented murring noise as he luxuriated in the tub. |

[[I hope you guy's don't mind me coming in here.]] Viclo was currently in his panther form, walking through the forest. He had just finished one of his missions as a ranger, and decided he would go exploring a little. His mission had been very simple, a little intelligence gathering, and now he was looking for some food. As he neared the little village, he started to change into his human form. He started to grow up right as the muscles in his leg strengthened. the black fur started to retreat into his body. His head started to grow more circular and his claws retracted into his hands. After that transformation was done, all that was there was a man in a black leather suit, with yellow eyes and a small tail. Viclo tucked his tail into his pants and walked into the village. He had to find out where he was first, so he looked for a local. "Excuse me, what town is this." Viclo asked a local who was sitting down resting. The man looked up at him. "You don't know. This is Kiro, one of the best fishing towns in the Human Lands. You're lucky, that it isn't to busy right now." "Thank you, Sir" Viclo replied. He walked off in search of an inn. |

Amy approached the city quietly but she still wasn't able to avoid the guards. They asked her a few questions but she answered them in a way that just made her a innocent girl. They didn't feel suspicious about anything and let her pass. When she was in the city, Amy put on a hood to hide her face and began wandering the streets, trying to find an assassin she never even met before. |

Tetroneaque was simply enjoying the feeling of being clean. He probed at the wound on his head and winced a little. That would need to be taken care of. He simply waited in the tub until he heard a knock at his door. "Sir. We've cleaned your clothes and brought those bandages you wanted. We'll just leave these outside your door." Someone called. "Thank you!" Tetroneaque called back. He waited a few minutes until he was sure the person was gone and then rose out of the tub. Dripping wet he walked over to the door and opened it, grabbing his things quickly and then shutting and locking the door once more. He tossed his clothes on the along with the bandages before climbing back into the tub. He went to work and finished scrubbing the rest of the filth out of his fur, paying special attention to his three large tails. After awhile he was satisfied that he was clean and got out of the tub. He shook himself dry like an over sized dog and then toweled off the rest of the moisture. He looked at the tub and saw that the water was filthy now. "Feels good to get all that crap off me." Which was a literal assessment as he had gone through a sewer the night before. He sat down on the plushly furnished bed and looked at the mirror on the night stand next to it. He could see the gash on the side of his head where the horse's hooves had clipped him. He grabbed one of the few remaining vials he had and poured a thick green fluid onto one of the bandages. He made sure the substance was spread evenly and then wrapped it around his head, covering the wound. He did this in a way that neither his ears or his eyes were covered, yet the bandage remained in place. "At least I had some of my healing salve with me. Heh heh, never leave home without it." He laughed to himself, glad to be alive. The salve smelled a bit like mint, but otherwise was odorless. After dressing his wound he decided to dress himself. His robe, boots, and gloves were all very clean. It seemed the humans were at least capable of getting that much done. He put on his things and then began putting all his little belongings back into their places within it. Lastly he took his mask and cleaned that off in the small basin of water on the night stand, as he hadn't trusted the humans to clean that for him. One it was clean he put that on as well and checked himself in the mirror. He looked like his usual self. "Perfect!" He declared. "A little food and then a nap and I should be back to my old self." He unlocked the door and went down stairs. "A loaf of honey bread and some of the roasted chicken please." He stated. "How did you know that's what we're making?" Asked the owner, a look of mild bewilderment on his face. "I have a very good sense of smell my friend. Also bring me a bottle of sweet berry wine if you have any." Tetroneaque replied as he took a seat near the window. His stomach was growling at this point. He was too hungry to care if he was eating human food, it would have to do. Who knew... maybe it would be good. He simply sat and waited for his food to arrive. |

Amy was still wandering the streets and thinking of a way to find the assassin when the image of the assassin suddenly appeared in her brain. She knew the mages must have imprinted the image onto her brain to assist her in search. Amy started asking the locals whether they have seen a man that fits the description the Mage Clans gave her. One of them told her that he went into a inn down the street. Amy thanked him and walked down towards the inn the man had described to her. |

As Viclo was sitting in the tavern, a person came in from the area of the rooms. He was a interesting person. Viclo began to watch him. This man was wearing clothes that covered his whole body, and wore a fox mask. It was weird that someone would hide how they look. Viclo looked to the Bartender. "Who is that guy, the guy with the mask?" The bartender looked at the guy and responded. "Don't know. All I know is that the owner said he came in and paid big. Real big, and we have to be very courteous." Viclo nodded in understanding and turned back to look at the man. This man was intriguing. Viclo wanted to go over there, but didn't know how the man would react. Right now, even studying the man could be bad. But Viclo was a curious guy. He took another drink from his Ale and kept studying the guy. If the man looked over towards the bar, he would see Viclo's two piercing yellow eyes staring at him. |

Tetroneaque was still waiting for his food when he noticed someone over at the bar. It wasn't that hard to notice him since the place wasn't very crowded yet. The man appeared to be staring at Tetroneaque, and the masked Kitsune noticed the man's eyes quickly. They marked him as not human. Tetroneaque sniffed the air discretely, letting his acute sense of smell tell him a bit more. The person smelled like the outside, a good clean scent of the wild, along with... cat? Tetroneaque smiled behind his mask. He knew another Cenurian when he smelled one. He just hoped the smell from his own bath would mask his own fox like scent from the other. He wanted to keep his cover if he could. "Is there something I can help you with?" Tetroneaque asked as he returned the man's stare. His tone was even and sounded slightly amused. He had to admit, he was a little curious to see how the other Cenurian tribes had been doing in the area. At the very least, another Cenurian would provide some decent conversation... better than a human anyway in Tetroneaque's opinion. |

AS Viclo was studying the man, a smell of lilacs and water wafted over, as if the man had just taken a bath. But underneath that scent was another one. One that was familiar yet strange. Viclo couldn't quite place it because those lilacs were covering it. He then realized that the man had noticed him and was addressing him. He sounded a little amused. "I beg your pardon, but I was just wondering something. What type of man needs to hide himself in a place like this. You aren't by any chance a bad man." Viclo replied with a hint of mischief in his voice. He liked to get people riled up. It was part of his nature, messing with people. "If you are a bad man, I would have to wonder what a bad man is doing in a small town like this." |
