Necropolis - Wraith
|
As his forces got nearer to the city, Sendokaze ordered them to stop. He couldn't believe how easy it was for his force to get here. If the Haven had seen them, it was already too late. The attack would begin now. First a wave of crossbow wielding goblins stepped up and fired a volley, taking down the guards on the many watchtowers of the city. Then another volley was fired, this time at the city itself and with flaming arrows. The wooden buildings near the walls quickly caught on fire and the elves ran out to the streets in surprise, wondering what had happened. When they noticed they were under attack, it was too late. The ancient door of An-Havva is shrouded in enchantments, but those spells were ancient and was no match for Sendokaze's magic. Within seconds, the door flew open and Warg riding goblins swarmed into the city, killing all in their path. The Haven was caught completely off guard. Many goblins carried torches and as they rode into the city, they threw them at the buildings, setting them on fire and adding more confusion. As more elvish troops ran out of their camps to help defend the city and put out the fire, the main body of the goblin army, almost four thousand charged in. Already surrounded, the elves were mercilessly cut down. Not even the women and children survived. The goblins have been trained to hate humans and elves and their orders was clear: leave none alive. Sendokaze walked calmly into the city, cutting down all who came near him. His army was doing perfect and soon, the other half of the army was about to strike. They could completely route the defenders and kill every last one of them. But first, he had to book to retrieve. |
