Finally, after several days of traveling she came across a very large city. However, she couldn't help but hear a distant noise like thunder or the pounding of a huge war drum coming from behind her but paid it no heed. As she approached the gates the guards would not let her pass inside. "Leave this city you are not of the elf kind," she wasn't sure if the city didn't allow non elves inside or the guards just didn't like the other races. Not wanting to cause any problems since wasn't too much in the mood to argue and fight, she grudgingly turned around and began to walk the other way. She hoped that there was another city or town nearby. As she began to walk away from the city she could see a Cenurian running very fast as if in a hurry to give important news to someone. It had definitely piqued her curiosity and carefully approached the location that he was going. With her heightened senses Oziren didn't need to get very close to hear what he was saying so she kept a safe distance between herself and them. Once Oz heard the word "army" she looked behind her and could see nothing but a peaceful setting but could feel that something was coming. She listened more carefully and it was indeed the marching steps of an army, a pretty large one at that, and could smell the stench of..."goblins," she murmured under her breath. Oz wasn't particularly fond of goblins and has been attacked by them a couple of times before even for not reason at all. Oz wasn't even sure if they understood what he was saying since he was very exhausted. She decided to help him out and by doing so she hoped they will grant her a pass to stay inside the city. "Please believe what he is saying," she said as she walked closer to them with her hands raised up so they could see she was not armed (little did they know that she can summon her weapon in a blink of an eye) and meant no harm. "An army of goblins is approaching these grounds and judging by their march it's roughly around 8 or 10 thousand and they will be here soon, so I suggest you warn your superiors." She questioned whether they believed her since they didn't know her and might think she's some sort of crazy hallucinating wanderer but she knew she was right and had tried to warn them, so her conscious would be clear if they get attacked by surprise for not believing. |
