Blood from a living being that isn't dead it. The blood doesn't smell like anything human or elvish, in fact the blood was from a race Sendokaze didn't recognize. As much as he envied the blood, there was no time. His orders were to get the artifact and get back. He ordered his horse to go faster in order to save time.
