doe down

im sure most of you have read my story of downing my first deer with a crossbow, i have since been seen a doe and fawn on 3 seperate occasions, still no bucks sightings, but lots of sign and fresh tracks of big boys in the area, corn is coming off today and will likely continue the next two days and i will be out there capitalizing on that oportunity of increased deer movement.

used tinks miss november for the second time and had a fawn react negatively to it, it snorted and ran away with its white flag , the doe didnt seem to mind, until i bleated at them to see if they would come in closer and maybe bring a buck behind them, after i bleated they went back into the bush

about 25 mins later they came back out of the bush farth down and didnt want anything todo with my doe decoy.

tell me if u have had similar reactions???

Shooting

shot our bows yesterday, dead on at 50 yds, 40, 30 and 20 respectively, very excited to shoot on oct 1st, hoping to see a deer, not sure whether or not i should take a doe or not.

ive heard theories on the issue, ive been told to not shoot a doe until u take a buck u want, the thinkin is that bucks will chase the does into you, with no does , less bucks. let me know what u think??

big boyz fishing derby

the morning started out with terrible weather, our charter with derbs outdoor adventures was delayed until 10am due to torrential rain, and the weather may have pushed all the pikeral to the bottom of the lake and made some scatter as we had only 3 pikeral, we managed to still have a great day out with derb and his deckhand Jerry, wow what good fisherman.

This was my 1st charter and not my last, we were using planer boards and dipsy divers and had in all 14 lines out and trolling in about 60 feet of water going about 3mph. I had 2 rainbows on my line and had them get off just before we got the them in the net,Bird almost caught a monster bow aswell but had the same luck. My dad and brother managed to catch rainbows, at about 6:20 i caught a monster sheephead, 8.44lbs current derby heaviest sheephead, 2 more days tho for somebuddy to catch another.
