Kit-cat and I had this RP going on another site. Sadly, that one is no longer going to be a "free" site anymore, so I am moving our threads over to here. Bare with me while I move them over >_<

And it begins...

IC: Uni walked through the forest, his anger rising to it's peak. He had lost both Kanu and Krystal and now was alone.

"What the hell are you doing?" Van snarled at her fellow slayer. "Drop him and let's go!"

Ellie shot her a look and stuck out her tongue, then continued to terrorize the little demon that had tried to pick her pockets. "You gonna try that again?" She asked the little demon.

Van groaned in agitation and looked up towards the sky. "Why me?!" She shouted. "Couldn't I have had that really hot guy for a partner?"

Uni trudged on and finally found a disoriented Krystal. "Hey!" He called out and she turned quickly, "Yes love?" "Don't call me that." He hissed and walked up to her. Krystal started laughing.

Kanu sat in one of the trees, not even bothering to look for anyone, "I'm not gonna get caught in there mess."

"Ellie!" Van shouted at her. "Drop him!" She couldn't believe her partner.

"Oh alright." Ellie grumbled and dropped the little demon. He went running off like he had been launched from a canon. "You ruin all my fun."

"No, I keep you alive." Van snarled. "Now grab you bag and let's GO!"

Ellie stomped over to her travel bag and pulled it on. She adjusted it so she could easily reach her blades if they came across a fight. "Where are we going, anyways?"

"A village not much further. They've had reports of demonic problems there." At least, that's what the Slayer Association said. Van had her doubts. She and Ellie weren't exactly loved by the S.A.

"Hey Uni! Can we stop at the next town we reach? My feet hurt." She groaned out, looking at him with puppy dog eyes. "Krystal...no." Uni growled out and started walking. She followed, letting out a heavy sigh.

Kanu couldn't find them, but did see a village not to far away. "I'll just go there...they wanna find me so bad then they can check." He jumped off his perch on the tree and took off towards the village and he could hear screaming..and smelt blood. He entered the village, the villagers running around in panic. "Looks like I wont find any relaxation here." Kanu muttered and sighed.

Ellie was running around, cursing. She was chasing some sort of demon. Not quite sure what kind it was. But this village definitely had a demon problem. "Come back here you little shit!" She snarled.

Van was covered in blood. And none of it hers. "Hold him while I stitch it up!" She barked at the assistant next to her. "This is worse than the S.A. made it out to be." She growled.

Kanu had finally lost it. "Shut the hell up!" He yelled and everyone stopped and looked at the half demon. "Damn...took you all long enough." He snarled, "Now..if someone would answer me...what's wrong?"

The little hospital here was a mad house. Van was barking orders left and right. "Damnit all to Hell! Where are these demons hiding?" They were still getting people in here every five minutes. And there weren't enough of medics to heal them all. "Where the hell is Ellie?"

"Got ya!" She hefted one of her blades and sliced the demon creature in two. It snarled in its ancient language and dissolved in a puff of smoke. "Now to find the rest of you little shits." Ellie growled, racing back towards the town square. She'd watch to see where most of the people were running from.

"That's it!" Kanu snarled out when everyone had begun panicking again. Then he saw what had caused it. A demon stood on one of the buildings, cackling at everyones screaming. He snarled, "I don't need or want this."

Ellie spotted the demon on the building. She hadn't made it to the square yet, but this was good enough. "Hey you!" She shouted at it. "Yeah, ugly, I'm talking to you!" She got a blade in each hand. "Come and dance with me!"

"Get me more bandages and thread!" Van snarled. Oh for the love of God! This was too much. These demons were using this area as a feeding ground! No wonder the SA had sent her and Ellie here...they were probably hoping the demons would take care of them.

Before the demon could even move, Kanu had taken aim. He appeared by the demon in an instint, cutting the creature in two with the swing of his blade. He snorted, "Wow..what a demon you were."

Ellie blinked once. Twice. Three times. "Oh hell no." She stared at the half demon standing on the building. She didn't wait for him to notice her and threw a blade at him. "Hiya honey!" She said sardonically.

Van washed a little of the blood off her hands so she could wipe the sweat off her forehead. There was still a lot of work that needed to be done. "This is going to be a long night." She sighed heavily.

"Honey hu?" He muttered and caught the blade in his hands. He turned to face her, his eyes cold and hard.

"Kanu!" Uni shouted and made his way into the village. Krystal had turned into her other state and trudged behind the other demon.

Ellie just stared at Kanu for a minute, then chose to ignore him, like he wasn't worth her time. She jogged along the side of the building, looking for more demons. And ran smack into one that came barreling through the wall. "Oh shit!'

"I'm sorry." Van said in a pained voice. "There isn't anything I can do to help him." She hated giving bad news. The couple in front of her broke down.

"Miss? We have another three that just came in." One of the assistants told her.

"Damn." She hurried over to the next wave of people. "Someone find me the demon slayer Ellie!" She shouted, not waiting to see who would take up her errand.

Kanu jumped down by his side and Uni twirled his blade. "Coming...or are we going to screw around here for a while?" Kanu shrugged, "I'm at least gonna try and calm down the choas." Uni groaned, "You are to soft, ya know that?" "Better than being bitter." Kanu said and ran off with a smile before Uni could choke him.

Ellie slammed into the side of the wall as the demon jumped her. "Oh no you don't!" She grabbed hits head and shoved it away from her neck. Using her legs she shoved it away and rolled to her feet. And found a second demon staring at her, hungry eyes blazing. "Ah, hell."

A terrified assistant ran through the chaotic village. He stopped and asked any who would listen long enough, if they had seen the demon slayer Ellie. He was sweating heavily in his fear for being out here, but Vanessa had been helping them hugely. He turned a corner and ran into a Kanu. "Please, forgive me sir." He stammered. "And forgive me again, but have you seen the demon slayer, Ellie?" His eyes were pleading.

Kanu hadn't even budged and looked at the man, "No problem..and..explain a bit? I did see a slayer but I don't know if it was her." Kanus eyes went huge and he shoved the man down, swinging his blade at a demon that had went to go after the assistant.

She had been shouting so much that her throat was dry. "Get me more antiseptic!" She rasped at the nearest assistant. And where the hell was Ellie? And then, her day just got worse as a low rumble came from the corner of the hospital.

Ellie dodged around the second demon and ducked the first one as it launched itself at her. She swirled around and manged to score a hit, but was knocked back on her ass by the second demon. "Screw you!" She growled and jumped the demon, shoving her blade through. It shrieked and slashed at her with its claws, scoring a hit before it dissolved.

"Vanessa didn't tell me what she looked like!" The terrified man squeaked and screamed when he saw the demon. "To hell with this! I don't care how much she has helped us! I'm out of here." And the man took off.

"Uni! Get your ass over here!" Uni ran over to a frustrated Kanu, "Find a slayer named Ellie, and hurry!" He yelled before rushing off to the hospital. "Wait! Damnit Kanu!" Uni yelled and raced off, trying to find a slayer he didn't even know.

Kanu shoved past people and finally entered the crowded hospital. He had heard the low rumble and ran towards it, his blade out.

"Everyone out NOW!" Van hollered in a voice that was beyond pissed. There was no way they could get all the patients out of the hospital. "Help all that you can." She raced to the corner covered in shadows, not hesitation when she jumped through them. She found four demons. "You bastards." She snarled and punched the nearest one.

Ellie ran around the a building, hearing the laughter of the demon she still hadn't managed to kill. "Oh laugh it up, asshole." She snarled, skidding to a halt. The demon pranced towards her, certain of its victory. Ellie waited until he was closer and then attacked.

Kanu jumped into the shadows as well, taking out another one. "There everywhere." He growled out.

Uni muttered a few words. "Got you." He growled out and moved his hands, the ground below the demons bursting into columns of flame.

Van didn't stop to ask who the guy was that was assisting her, but she was grateful for it. She sliced one down and carried the maneuver into her next attack. "This village is not just under demon siege." She growled out. "It's a freaking demon playground!" And boy, was she going to have a word or two for the SA when they got out of this...if they did.

Ellie gave a curse and a yelp when the demon burst into flames. "What the hell?!" She looked around to see what new threat she would have to deal with and spotted Uni. "Who are you?" She growled out, blades still in a fighting stance.

"SA...?" He destroyed the last demon with a swung and put the blade back in its case, "So your from there hu?" He could feel his hand hovering around the area of his blade, just in case she found out he was a demon and decided to attack.

Uni was focused and he opened his eyes. They had begun to tint red and he chuckled, "I'm Uni...and you are?"

Van replaced her blades and turned to the hospital, gesturing for the guy to follow her. "Yes." She said in a crisp voice. "I'm with the SA." She grabbed a frantic assistant. "What's the damage report for patients?"
"Only two didn't make it." She stammered.
Van sighed. "Continue to clear the hospital out. It's no longer safe here. And where the hell is Ellie!"

"Uni, huh?" She eased her stance a little, walking towards the path that led to the square. "Well, Uni. I'm Ellie. Now, you're in my way." She shoved past him and started jogging down the path.

Uni chuckled, "She's definitly not miss sunshine." He stood up straight and looked around for other demons.

Kanu followed, looking at the mess that was unfolding, "Damn demons...lucky I'm only half." He bit his lip right then, hoping she hadn't heard. His mind screamed, Damnit Kanu! You idiot!

Van shouted at the assistants running frantically all over. She froze when she heard him and recovered quickly, finishing issuing out her orders. Slowly, she turned to face the guy, actually taking the chance to look. "Well, hell." She said softly. "I should have smelled it right from the start." It was the blood. She couldn't smell anything past the blood. "Guess,as my duty as a slayer states, I should kill you." She glanced around the chaos. "Lucky for you, I'm having a really bad day."

"Van!" Ellie ran into the hospital, hand covering her mouth from the smell. "What happened here?" She spotted Van talking to the demon from before. "You!" She instantly had a blade out.

Van sighed. "Unfortunately, my partner doesn't agree with my beliefs." She muttered.

"Common now...can't we all get along?" From the shadows two red eyes looked at them and then came a cackle. "Krystal...get out here." Kanu growled out. "Fine fine...who pissed you off?" The woman stepped from the shadows, a devilish smirk painting her lips.

Ellie's fingers twitched and she gripped her blade tighter. "Alright...I think we are getting a little too crowded in here."

"Stand down, Rambo." Van sighed.

"What?!" Ellie snarled.

"You heard me. Now stand down, damnit! I don't have time for this." Van walked over and grabbed the blade from her partner. "You." She looked at Kanu. "I don't know who you are, so we'll just pretend you were a nice civilian helping us out."

"Awe, Van!" Ellie whined at her. "What else do you have left to do here? We need to get the hell gone."

Van ignored her partner. "I suggest you get out of this village. We are exorcising it."

"We're what?" Ellie asked. "Van, in case you haven't counted, there are too many demons here for that!"

"Oh and I heard ya doll face...giving away what you are and all." Krystal grinned even wider, her eyes focusing on him, "Uni is gonna have your head." Kanu snarled, "I know it all to well Krystal...now please leave."
"Fine...me and Uni will be waiting at the gate. And I'll make sure to tell him about your little slip up." She cackled again before disappearing.
"Shit...now I'm gonna get my ass kicked." He growled and grit his teeth.

Van just shoved a bag of small charms in her hands. "Don't argue with me and just go prepare!" She snarled. Then turned to the half demon. "Forgive my rudeness. I'm Vanessa, but call me Van."

Ellie was muttering the whole time as she went around to the cardinal points of North, South, East, and West. She placed a charm on the ground and uttered a few soft words, activating it. Once those four were in place she began to make her way back to the center of the village. She spotted the demon from before. "Oh, you're still here?" She asked sarcastically. "Might want to change that status. Or I might just get to slay you."

"Go ahead and try little slayer." Uni hissed as his eyes flashed. He was already in a sour mood and now that she'd come it made him even worse.

"It's alright." Kanu answered with a smile, "And I'm Kanu."

"Hmm, well sorry. But I'm taken for this evening." She said, blowing him a kiss. "How about next week?" She grinned slyly and turned back towards the square, and the location of the last charm.

"Kanu?" She cocked her head. "Nice name." A shout and a crash had her whirling. One of the patients was now crumbled on the floor. "What the hell happened?" She shouted.
"We don't know, ma'am. He just...lost it."
Van walked over to the man. "Are you alright?" She bent down to look at his eyes, make sure he wasn't dazed. They were solid black. "Shit." She tried to move, but the demons borrowed body shimmered and it attacked, knocking Van down hard.

Kanu growled and his hands glowed with crimson colored energy. He rushed at the man, putting his hands on his stomach. He grsped his shirt and Kanu snarled, "Get out you son of a bitch!" Soon Kanu didn't have hold of the man, but a figure made of just shadows and black energy.

Uni rolled his eyes, "I'll make sure to remember." He spat out sourly.

"I...thanks." Van managed to get out. "Can you hold him?" She got to her feet, pulling out a special charm she wore. She knelt down and looped it around his neck. "Hold him as long as you can, and don't take that off! It will protect you from the exorcism!" She ran off and out the door, looking for Ellie.

Ellie heard the demons comment and flipped him the finger before disappearing out of view. She made it to the center of the village and waited for Van.

"Ellie!" Van ran up to her. "I have to leave the circle." She panted. "No charm. Give me a count of five minutes, then do it." She turned and ran towards the gate.

"What do you mean you don't have it?" She shouted at Van's retreating figure.

Kanu moved his hands apart, tearing the demon in two. He looked at her and watched her leave. "Oh great." He muttered had put the man over his back, racing out of the hospital.

"Charming...isn't she?" Uni said and smirked.

"You really have no idea what charming means then." Krystal said and sighed.

Van spotted the same demon gal from before standing at the gate. She skidded to a halt, panting. "Get...out of...range." She told them, then didn't wait for them to make up their minds. She shoved them both, feeling the beginning of the spell of exorcism. "Now!" She snarled.

Ellie was kneeling down, holding the fifth charm in her hand. She whispered the words over and over again to the spell under her breath. Her mind kept shouting and snarling at Van for not having her charm. Now, she was vulnerable, not having any protection should a demon come at her. "Well, Van obviously felt you could handle yourself." She muttered.

Kanu ran out of the building and had to jump over Ellie. "This dude weighs a fricken ton." He growled to himself and ran through the gate.

Uni and Krystal didn't argue, but soon started to go.

Van didn't wait to see where the demons would go, she just bolted until she was a safe distance away. In her mind, she was counting how long since Ellie had activated the spell. "This is bad..." And she couldn't enter the area without her charm, since she was a werewolf.

"What the hell?" Ellie stared at the charm. "Why isn't this working?" She growled. "This is why Van does this stuff!" She slammed her fist into the ground. And the charm broke. "Ah shit." Now she was so screwed. "Van's going to kill me." She looked up. "Unless you boys get to first." There were two demons standing in front of her. "I really really hate demons."

Kanu had stayed back a bit and after seeing the charm shatter he knew it wouldn't activate. He dropped the man and Kanu faded into the shadows. In an instant, one hand wrapped around one of the demons leg and his other around the others. He pulled and the two demons into the shadows with him.

Ellie stared. "Van's really going to kill me now." She got the her feet and backed away. But then her concscience caught up with her. "Damnit! I can't leave these villagers with no protection." She cursed impressively and stopped. There was one other thing she could do. Van didn't know about the...illegal charms she had bought. "Guess we'll see if they work the same as these ones." Once again, she knelt down and started whispering the soft words to the spell again.

Van was pacing like a caged animal. "I'm going to kill her if she screws this up!" Why? Why couldn't she get the normal partner?

Kanu backed up a bit. Was this going to hurt him? That he didn't know but he decided to stay and watch.

Uni snarled, "Where is that damn fool! He should have been here by now!"

Van heard someone snarl. She stopped pacing and looked around. Not too far from her was the demon duo. "Oh great, so I'm not the only one growling in frustration." She muttered, keeping on eye on the male. He seemed to be the one with the shortest temper. And why wasn't that one...Kanu...with them? "I hope he kept that charm on..."

Ellie felt the power rise. She closed her eyes and concentrated on that power. It felt like a storm about to burst. When it felt like there was no possible way it could contain itself, the spell activated and that power washed over the area. Every demon within the circle would either be killed or forced back the their realm. "Eat that, you bastards."

Kanu felt the wave of power but nothing happened. "Wow." Was all he could mutter out.

Uni finally snapped and slammed his fist into a tree, his whole hand breaking right through.

"Tisk tisk love..mighty temper you have." Krystal said with a grin painted on her lips.

Van stared. "Wow. I thought Ellie had a temper." She was starting to like the female demon though.

Ellie stood up slowly, looking around. "Cool. Those charm were actually worth the effort it took to get them." She grinned wolfishly. Then spotted that one demon that had been with Van. "Why the hell are you still standing?"

Kanu looked at her, "I got it from...Van." He muttered, hoping he hadn't done anything wrong.

Uni finally lost it and ripped his hand out, whiping it at her.

Krystal caught it with ease and hissed, delight filling her red eyes.

"Van?" She asked stupidly. "She gave it to YOU?" Ellie kicked the ground in anger. "She gave her protective charm to a..a..demon!" Her eyes narrowed at Kanu. "And left me to defend myself." She growled, pulling her blades out. "Oh, hell fucking no!" She charged him.

Van didn't feel quite so...safe here anymore. She slowly started to move away, doing what she could not to draw the demons attention. Let them duke it out with one another. She needed to find Ellie. "Before she does something stupid." She muttered to herself.

Kanu just looked at Ellie. "Oh holy shit.." He muttered out and made a quick move, dodging her blades and crashing his fist into her stomach. He had only put enough force into it to hopefully knock her out.

Krystal laughed and her eyes feel on Van, "It's alright sweety. He's all bark and no bite."

Uni growled hatefully at the comment.

"If it's all the same. I need to get back to that village." She said, with a small grin for Krystal. "Keep that leash tight." She winked and jogged off. "Oh God. I hope Ellie didn't do something...troublesome." Van growled.

All her air whooshed out and she hit her knees, gasping. But she had been dealt much nastier blows than that. She forced herself up and shot Kanu a vicious look. "Oh no, demon. You don't get away that easily." She gave no warning and thrust a blade at him, smiling when it hit its mark.

"Will do!" Krystal shouted and Uni snarled. "Oh quite love...you don't scare me."

Kanu snarled when the blade hit him. He grabbed both her wrists, making sure Ellie wouldn't get another shot.

Ellie glared at him. "Bad move, honey." She brought her knee up hard, smiling devilishly.

Van slowed when she got to the gate. She thought it was a good sign that there were no more screams of utter terror or immense pain.

Kanu howled in pain this time. He hadn't wanted to hurt her...but he acted without thinking. He brought his fist across Ellies face, full force.

Her ears were ringing after that one and she tasted blood. She spit out a mouthful of blood and glared at the demon. "Oh, it's on now, you shit!" Ellie charged him again, stumbled and stopped. Her world was spinning now.

Van heard the howl. "Oh no..." She raced towards it, praying that it wasn't Ellie and it wasn't that nice demon she'd met. And that the other male demon wouldn't hear that. "Ellie!" She snarled. "What the hell did you do?"

Uni had heard it and his anger reached it's peak. He rushed off and Krystal followed, sending out a warning yell to Van, "He's coming!"

Kanu looked at her and almost muttered "sorry" but was a bit pissed at this point.

Van walked up to Ellie. "I can't leave you alone for less than five minutes!" She yelled at her. "Can't you ever act your age? Or mature?" Van was being harsh...and later, she would feel bad.

"Stop yammering like a cat in heat." Ellie grumbled. "Why the hell does he have your charm?" She managed to pull out another blade, and watched Kanu closely. "And don't think I won't get you again." She added. "Soon as I can focus on all of you."

Van heard Krystal's warning. "Oh shit. Ellie! Put the blade down. Now."

"F off." She growled and went after Kanu again, not caring that her world spun. "I owe you one for that second hit!" She could still taste the blood in her mouth.

Uni ran in, rushing past Van as almost a blur. "Oh Fu-" Was all Kanu could get out before he made a move he would regret. He ran and shoved Ellie out of the way, Uni barely missing Kanu. Uni snarled and twisted, bringing his metal claws around. Kanu growled in pain as they raked across his chest.

"Enough!" Krystal hissed. She brought out her whip and cracked it. From Unis shadow, tones of black vines wrapped around him and held his body in place.

Van was furious. She walked over to where Ellie was and smacked her upside the head. "I swear to the higher powers Ellie Londington! I will beg the SA to give me a new partner!"

Ellie didn't respond. This was one of Van's favorite threats. She blinked and stared at Uni. "You--"

"No. Shut your trap. We are leaving before you cause any more problems." Van said, cutting her off. She eyed the demon trio and then turned to Krystal. "Can you hold him long enough for us to get a safe distance away?"

"I hope so." Krystal answered and held Uni with the vines. His intense struggling finally made the vines give, "Shit! Kanu!"

He turned and was taking down. "Fuck!" He snarled as the blade pierced through his stomach. Kanu got a good hold and they both stood there, staring each other down.

Van dragged Ellie away from the fighting. Knowing her, she'd jump right back in there. "Freaking crazy." She growled over and over again.

"Yeah, I got that, Van." Ellie said dryly, holding her head.

"That's what you get. Why did you attack Kanu?"

"Oh, so now we have names for them?" Ellie grumbled.

"Oh shut the hell up." Van groaned and continued dragging her. If she'd been thinking more clearly, she'd have realized why Ellie was so defensive around demons.

Krystal ran over to them, "You wont be able to leave fast enough if Kanus hold slips. Here." She touched Vans shoulder and muttered a few words as they faded in thin air.

Kanu snarled again, "Calm down Uni!"

Uni finally got a hold of himself. He shook his head and pulled the blade from Kanus stomach, "Sorry.."

Ellie freaked...a little. She and demons just...didn't fit together. When they were no longer transporting, she swung a fist at Krystal.

Van saw how freaked Ellie was, cursed and caught the fist aimed at Krystal. She spun and landed a hard blow to Ellie's stomach. Her partner went down, gasping for breath. "It's alright, Ellie. She's not like...them."

Ellie clutched her stomach and closed her eyes in pain. "Sorry..." She gasped out.

"I'm sorry you had to see that." She said and sighed, looking at the ground. "Poor Unis been on edge since.." But she stopped.

Uni sighed and appologized a couple more times.

"It's alright." Kanu answered and put his hand where Uni had ripped open his chest with claws.

"And we're sorry that we had to entice him." Van replied. "By the way, I'm Van. This is Ellie."

"Sorry I tried to hit you." She was sitting on the ground now, rubbing at the side of her face, where Kanu had scored a good hit. "I...demons and I just don't seem to get along very well." She sighed.

"Might help if you expanded your mind a little bit." Van said casually. Ellie just flipped her off. "So he's been on edge too? Wow, he sounds a lot like Ellie." Van added.

"Van and Ellie..nice to meet you both. Krystal." She said, stating her name, "And it's alright." She shifted a bit when Van said what she did. Her eyes turned a bit darker, "Yes...he has. A lot of bad things have been going on with all 3 of us to be honest but he by far has got the worst part of it all."

Van watched her. "Well..." She started slowly. "You are welcome to travel with us. If you need a break from them." She sighed. "Hell, it would be a great way to get back at the SA." She muttered angrily. "Those bastards." She had a feeling it wasn't her that they were trying to get rid of. She shot a look down at Ellie.

"They all have sticks shoved up their asses." Ellie shrugged, but something pained was in her eyes. The SA really hated her. She hadn't figured out why either. She thought that Van might know...but didn't ask her friend.

Krystal was about so say something when a a huge explosion shook the ground beneath their very feet. Krystal kept her balance and saw a huge black beam coming from where Kanu and Uni were. "No." She said sadly but before she could move she felt something. Nothing had struck her, that was visable to the naked eye at least. She feel to her knees, cluthing her now bleeding stomach in a death grip.

Van rushed to the demon's side. "What the hell happened?" She asked staring in shock. "Krystal?"

Ellie sat there, stunned. She saw the black beam. "I...think I'll say out of that one." She said in a quiet voice.

"Ellie!" Van growled at her. She flipped Krystal over to look at her stomach. She placed a hand over Krystal's and muttered a soft word. Green fire rose around their hands and fell into the wound.

"Uh...Van?"

"What?"

"I think...we should run."

"Uni!" Kanu screamed. He was laying on his back...and wasn't breathing. "No!" Kanu looked around, "Where are you!? Come out and fight you coward!"

"He's..here." Krystal muttered out weakly and grit her teeth, "He's after Uni and Kanu."

"Who?" Van asked, continuing to heal her a little. With demons, she couldn't heal them all the way. But she could jump start their own healing abilities. "Can you move now? And...we'll help in whatever way we can. Since you guys helped us."

"We'll what?" Ellie was on her feet. "No. No fucking way am I helping a...demon." She hissed out. "Not after what happened the last time!" Her voice elevated to a shout.

"Fine. You sit here and I'll go help." Van said flatly.

"The Demon Lord." She hissed out and Krystal sat up and let out a cry. The wound burned and throbbed with terrible pain,"Thank you." She muttered out weakly.

Kanu cussed multiple times as he dodged tons of strikes. "Quit using your shadow art! Fight like a man!"

Van helped her to her feet. "Tell me what to expect, and I'll help you get back there." She said, looking over at Ellie. Van didn't say anything, knowing that her friend would most likely end up following anyways.

Ellie just stared at Van. Her only friend. Helping demons. Maybe Van's right, she thought. Maybe I should 'expand my mind' a little. But...she had done that once already. Tried to trust a demon. And she'd almost died.

"You...you don't wanna come, trust me." Krystal said sadly, praying neither Kanu nor Uni were dead yet.

Uni finally got to his feet, hes legs about to give on him. Both men were covered in blood because of the beam that had crashed down on them. The chaos seemed to have stopped and they both began walking slowly to where they sensed Krystal.

"Shit." Van looked at her stomach. "Sit back down. Let me do a better job. Not a rush one." She shot a look at Ellie. "Grab my bag."

Ellie hesitated, but did as she was asked. She rummaged through Van's bag and pulled out the little medical one. She carried it over and handed it to her. Then backed away, eyes to the ground.

Krystal did as she was told and sat back down.

Kanu and Uni kept walking, "Where is she?" Uni hissed in a weakened voice.

She pulled out her special thread, with a little silver weaved into it. Durable stitches. "I'm going to heal it a little more with my own abilities, then stitch it up. After that, you should be able to heal it yourself." She placed her hands back on Krystal's stomach and the green fire started again. After a couple minutes, she stopped. "Ok. Lie back and I'll stitch it."

Ellie paced while Van worked her magic. She stared at the ground, watching her feet. Her blade was out, resting against her shoulder. To anyone looking, it probably seemed like she was standing guard over a prisoner. She sighed. "I'll try to learn to trust demons again." She muttered softly.

Krystal layed back and watched Van. She didn't like being stitched up...it had always bothered her.

Kanu and Uni had walked far enough to see Krystal laying on the ground and the two other girls. "What in the hell?!" Kanu yelled and just stared.

Ellie kicked a rock in her path. She was starting to leave a trail from her pacing. Her hand kept tensing around the hilt of her blade. She was trying to calm herself, give Krystal a chance. But her mind kept getting stuck at demon. "Ah hell. Maybe I just need to visit the tavern again. Then try all this again."

Van smiled at Ellie. She used precise, quick motions to stitch the wound. Krystal didn't seem to like this, but Van was very skilled, and most of her patients never realized she had stitched them up until she was done. "So what brings you and your demon counterparts here?" She asked.

"We just travel..not really going anywhere particular." Krystal answered and took in a deep breath, trying to calm herself.

"Hey!" Kanu shouted and was only a few feet away. Uni had stopped a little ways back, leaning against a tree. His legs couldn't hold him anymore.

"Kanu!" Krystal exclaimed and turned her head a bit, only to took at a blood soaked demon. She frowned, "Oh no.."

Van paused long enough to look up and see the demons, then went back to her work. She reached into her bag and pulled out an ointment to rub into the stitched wound. "Take a few deep breaths for me." She instructed Krystal. "And...they won't attack us..will they?" She asked in a quieter voice.

Ellie froze, blade raised when she heard the shout. She had been so lost in her thoughts she hadn't even noticed the other two demons come up. "Breathe. Just breathe. Don't attack them. They won't attack you." Yeah right. Her mind added.

Kanu walked, more of a stumble actually, and sat by Krystals side. She took in a few deep breaths.

"What happened?" He asked, his voice a bit frantic. He was hoping at least someone besides him and Uni had escaped unscaved, but it didn't look like it.

Van regarded him. "He's like that little lost and jumpy puppy, isn't he?" She asked Krystal. Stomach now stitched up, Van was able to take in the half demons appearance. "It would seem...that I might have a couple more patients." Van sighed. What would the SA say if they saw her and Ellie right now?

Ellie still stood frozen. Instincts warred with her mind. These were demons! The one shouted, while the other kept insisting that Van was right. There were good demons after all. Her knuckles were white with the strain of gripping her blade. Tavern. I'm stopping in the tavern in the next town." She vowed.

"Both of them are." Krystal answered and sat up, looking at Kanu.

Kanu inspected her, his eyes darting around. Blood..so much blood.. Kanu thought to himself and gripped his blade hard.

Uni still stayed back, his world spinning even more now. "Oh hell no...you better stay awake." He hissed to himself.

Van got up and stood in front of Kanu. "Well, you look like shit." She crouched down, inspecting the wounds closer. "And I can heal that to a point. After that, it's your own healing abilities."

Ellie tensed as Van crouched in front of the half demon. Calm down! She snarled at herself. If he so much as twitches in movement to attack her...She had moved her blade from her shoulder, making it easier to use, without realizing it.

Kanu had flinched a bit when she came closer, "Yeah thanks. That's what I needed to hear."

Krystal stood up, looking at Van and Kanu.

When he flinched, Ellie had taken two steps before stopping herself. She hated how because of one instance, she could no longer trust demons easily.

Van smiled. "Don't bite me when I heal you." Her smile turned devious. "I might bite back." She placed her hands on his chest, green fire once again rising around them.

Kanu smiled back, "Then I wont bite." He watched her hands with curiousity.

Uni had stumbled over and Krystal went to assist, helping him walk. "What happened?" She asked in a low whisper. "He really hates me...almost killed me right there." Uni spat sourly.

Van worked quickly, concentrating on healing most of the surface stuff. The half demon would heal the rest on his own. But when she was finished, he could at least function properly. "That should be enough." She said quietly to herself and shot a look over at Krystal and the other demon. "I guess he's next."

She was starting to loose it. Being in the company of one demon, she might have been able to cope with, and even start to talk and like. But three? Or two and a half? Ellie had moved closer to Van. "Van?" She whispered. "Can we go? Please?" Before she did something stupid. She shot a look at Uni. Oh great...him again.

"No!" Krystal yelled and made a few hand movements and a huge aura like sheild made itself around them. At that moment the same black beam shot at the shield with incredible force. Krystal groaned in pain. She could hear it snapping until Uni had joined in and the cracking, snapping sound stopped.

She freaked. Ellie grabbed Van and shoved her to the ground, pushing them away from Kanu. Her blade was up and aimed at whatever tried to come after them.

"Ellie!" Van hissed in pain, shoving her friend off. She blinked at the dark beam and the shield. "Damn. This is going to get bad." She pulled Ellie to her side. "Don't do anything stupid, alright?"

"Then get us the hell out of here!" She hissed back, eying the three demons like she was going to slay them.

Kanu did the first thing that came to his mind, run. It was clear he wasn't wanted here. He took off, leaving the shield.

"Kanu!" Krystal yelled as he faded, "Damnit all to hell! He's gonna get himself killed!"

Kanu jumped, dodging branches and maneuvering quickly. He was now following one scent...the Lords.

She was close to completely loosing all sense. "Van...I'm sorry. Either me or them. I have to go!" She stood, backing away from all of them, then took off in the direction that would eventually lead to the next village they were supposed to investigate.

"Ellie!" Van shouted, getting to her feet. She looked back at Krystal. "I'm...sorry." She said in a pained voice. And she ran, following Ellie. She felt horrible for leaving them in such a bad situation. She was going to strangle Ellie when she caught up to her!

Krystal watched them run, a pained look in her eyes, "Anytime we meet someone else they always run." The shield finally broke and both the demons braced themselves for horrid pain.

Kanu finally found the lord twirling his blade and watching Kanu with menacing red eyes.

She had finally slowed her head long run, walking slowly. Her eyes were closed and she tried to calm herself.

"Ellie." Van walked up next to her. "Are you alright?"

"I...Van I'm sorry." She said, head bowed. "I just...couldn't deal with it."

"I know." She glanced back over her shoulder. "I...I can't just leave them. They need help." Van stopped. "I need you to do me a favor." She held out two charms. "You remember this old trick, right?"

Ellie took the charm. "Yeah. I activate it while you play catch the puppy."

"Good." Van shifted to her wolf form. Ellie tied the second charm to her fur. "I promise we will leave after this." And she ran back towards the battle. She'd give the charm to Krystal. It was a powerful shield and defensive charm.

Krystal was now in as bad of shape as Kanu was, but Uni was much worse. With another charge from the beam, both of them were on the ground. Krystal could barely breathe as she gasped heavily. Uni just laid there, not moving a muscle. They had both taken about all they could handle. One more charge and they'd both be dead.

Kanu was slammed into the ground and lashed at with the blade. "You son of a bitch." He growled out, blood running from his mouth.

Van raced silently. In her wolf form, she could feel the power building. She could see Krystal and the other demon now. She bounded over bushes, racing towards them. Activate it, Ellie! She thought. Along with, I hope they don't think I'm an enemy now.

Ellie bit her thumb, drawing blood. She smeared it on the charm and felt its power thrum. "Shield." She said and felt the little thing go warm in her hand.

Van jumped and landed right next to Krystal. The charm tied to her fur heated and activated right as that power she felt exploded out. She braced herself for the slamming impact that was coming.

Kanu swung with his own blade, both clashing into one another, "Go back to hell!"

The Lord chuckled, "You'll be coming with me then."

Krystal couldn't see who or what was by her. She was to weak to even fight back and she closed her eyes, waiting for the worst.

The impact came, and Van almost lost her footing. But she locked her muscles and stood her ground. Damn! The charm can probably take two more hits like that before it needs to be recharged. She growled, the sound coming out as a vicious beast's growl.

Ellie had finally made up her mind. As long as Van was in danger, she would help these demons. And she would try to like them. Following Van's prints, she made her way back, slowly and cautiously.

"Well...I think I've played with you long enough. I have to go back now." The Lord left in a puff of smoke. Kanu groaned and lost his balance, his back slamming into the tree. He slid down, blood cloaking where he was.

Krystal brought her hand up, feeling the fur of a wolf. She couldn't find words, but finally caught the scent of Van.

Uni had propped himself up and made his way over to Krystal and Van.

The wolf panted. "Only can stand a few more of those." She told Krystal. "Ellie and I can't keep the charms activated after that." Speaking of which, what would Ellie do? Was she still back where Van had left her?

Ellie caught sight of movement. She hid behind a tree, peering out. It looked like that one half demon Van seemed to be fond of. Slowly, she edged closer until she was standing next to the tree he was against. "Life sucks, don't it?" She asked sarcastically.

Kanu looked at himself, taking in his condition. "Looks like my whole right arm is broke." He whispered to himself, looking at it. His arm hung useless at his sde, "And I know I got a nice little hit to the back." He snarled out. His stomach and chest both had deep cuts and his legs sustained a little less dammage. He went to close his eyes when he had heard a voice, "Right now...it sucks ass."

Krystal groaned, "It's alright...he isn't here anymore."

Van's muscles relaxed. She felt the charms heat die down. "Well. I'm thinking I might have my work cut out for me." She grumbled, looking at Krystal. "And here...I just healed you too."

Ellie chuckled. "Need any help?" If only he knew how hard those words were for her to utter. But once she did, she felt...better.

Krystal looked at her, "I didn't ask for the Demon Lord to almost kill me..."

"Maybe..." Kanu answered and went to stand, using the tree to help. He had grabbed part of the bark and almost stood up all the way until his grip failed and he crashed back down, his back scrapping against the jagged bark.,. "Son of a bitch!" He growled out and slammed his hand into the ground.

"Did I say you did?" Van asked with a raised eyebrow. "How about you two deal with me and my partner for a little longer. We can go to the next village where I can get a few more supplies. Then I can see what I can do about your injuries." She paused. "Where's the half demon?" And Ellie?

Ellie moved and knelt down to get an arm around him. She helped him stand up. "I hope you can at least walk." She grunted. "Cause otherwise we're kinda shit out of luck." She didn't even complain about all the blood that was getting on her.

"Yeah...let's hope." Kanu answered and sighed, taking a few unsteady steps.

Krystal didn't answer. Her eyes turned fragile at the mention of the half demon but Uni answered, "We...we don't know where he is..."

"Ok...I think we can do this." Ellie said, supporting most of his weight. "Just try and warn me if we're going to go crashing to the ground. I'd hate to get pinned beneath you and have Van find us." She said, not thinking.

Van sniffed at the air. Ellie's scent was no longer coming from the same spot. "I...think my partner is now missing too." She sighed heavily and shifted to her human self. "Please forgive her for anything she does. She's...had a bad experience with demons." Van said sadly. And then an alarm bell went off. Ellie wouldn't have gone after Kanu...would she? "Oh shit."

"Alright I will." And at that last comment Kanu couldn't help the laugh he let out, "Oh..umm, sorry."

"What...?" Krystal said and then she knew. "You think..she's..?"

"Uh huh." She grinned at the half demon. "She was eying you." Ellie looked him up and down. "Not sure what she was eying though." She said innocently. Wouldn't Van be proud? She was starting to think that, for a half demon, he wasn't too bad.

"I'm not saying anything." Van said nervously. She didn't think Krystal would rush in. But the other one? (haha, Van never learned his name!) "I...I need to go find her." She started to back away.

"Well thanks." Kanu said and sighed, "It's always nice to hear no one sees anything in you after you get pounded by a Demon." He gave Ellie a smirk and almost lost his balance, "Shit!"

Uni had began to stand and Krystal tugged at his pants.

She wouldn't have. She wasn't that stupid...or was she? It was all Van could do to not pull at her hair or fidget in her nervousness. She tried to focus and see where Ellie's scent was coming from now. And then her heart just about stopped. It was coming from the same direction Kanu's scent was coming. "Shit." She breathed, turning that way. She smelled blood too.

"Ack!" She tried to even their weight out. When she was sure they weren't going down, she started walking again. "Well, hey! Maybe Van has a thing for men that have been pounded by a Demon." She laughed. "Maybe If you give her a cheeky smile, she'll fall head over heels for you." Ellie was having fun teasing him. What a shock!

Kanu went to bring up his hand and flick her but with his luck lost balance and fell on his broken arm, "Damnit! Why would you let me do that?!" He growled and looked at Ellie, blaming his collapse on her.

"I...smell...them..and Kanus blood." Krystal said sadly and clutched his pants tighter. Unless Uni wanted to run around in his underwear, he wasn't going anywhere.

"Me?!" She growled at him after they had hit the ground. "I didn't do shit!" She pushed him off and got back up, then bent down to help him up. "Maybe you shouldn't try and flick me?" She suggested and flicked him. "That's for growling."

Van looked back at Krystal. She didn't say it allowed, but her eyes asked the silent question of, "What will Uni do to my partner?" Hell, what was she going to do to her partner? "I..can't believe she would..." Van sighed. Yes she could.

Krystal eyed Van and her eyes spoke for her, "I...don't know."

Kanu flicked her back and stood on shaky legs, hoping he didn't fall again.

"Let's try this again. I don't want Van to freak and think I went crazy or something. Like tried to kill you." Ellie knew her friend well. "And, what's the deal with that other guy with you...I think he said his name was Uni?"

Van decided to wait it out. It would be easier for her to help her friend if she was here, where she could watch the danger that Ellie was walking into. If she had killed the half demon that is.

"Uni has always been a bit bitter...but never like this. He changed a year ago after an..incident." Was all Kanu got out.

Uni smacked at Krystals hand, "Let..go."

"No." She muttered, "Not until I know you arn't going to kill someone."

Her heart skipped a beat. "Incident?" She asked in a small voice. Was it just coincidence?

Van smirked at Krystal, but said nothing. She couldn't help but wonder if her demon counterpart would try and run anyways...loosing his pants in the process. She coughed to cover the laugh that almost escaped her.

Uni just gave up in the end and sat down beside her.

"Yes.." Kanu muttered, trying to hide a sad tone and cringed.

She bit her lip. "Can...I ask what happened?" She asked quietly. "I mean..I don't want to intrude if it's private business." But she was dying to know now.

Van started to pace. What the hell could be taking her so long?

Kanu bit his lip. "Don't...tell anyone I told you...promise?" He choked out.

Krystal watched her pacing.

"I promise." Ellie told him. And meant it.

When she realized she was pacing she stopped. It made the situation worse if she paced. "I never should have left her alone." She muttered. Then sighed. "I mind as well heal what I can here." She said turning to Krystal. "At least enough that you can travel."

"It...hurts to see someone close to you almost die...just about every damn week." Kanu muttered, "That's what I saw...and what Uni had to go through."

"I don't want to be back on my feet." Krystal groaned, "I'd rather just lay here."

She thought on that for a bit. "Do you mean...that..thing, creature, demon...that attacked you?" She finally asked. Ellie could sense Van now. They were almost to the others. I hope I don't get attacked by Van.

Van rolled her eyes. "Fine. Have it your way. Once Ellie gets here, her and I will just...leave." At least she hoped so.

"Yes." Kanu muttered out, "That Lord...he used to trust him and he was like a parent to Uni...then everything went downhill. He has shut the world away...he can't trust..he can't...love."

"Don't roll your eyes." Krystal said with a smirk.

She could relate. "I'm sorry he..and you...have to deal with that." Ellie told him. "And I can understand the not trusting...or loving..." She trailed off and shuddered a little.

"Don't whine." Van countered. She looked over at Uni. "What's your name, anyways? Your fellows here weren't mature enough to offer that."

He chuckled, "The names Uni."

Kanu felt her shudder, "He..he has lost everyone he loved...left him alone and scarred." He bit his lip hard. If Uni knew he was spilling his past he'd kill him.

How strange, that she would actually feel for a demon ever again. "Not that either of us would ever say anything..since I'd probably die, and you'd get your ass kicked...but he's not alone." Ellie said quietly. "I think they are just up ahead too." She eyed him, shutting away the emotions he'd roused by telling her Uni's secrets. "And thanks. For sharing."

"Uni. I'm Van." She bit her lip. "The other one is Ellie." She'd almost said the psychotic. Van's ears perked up and she turned.

Kanu looked at her, a confused look on his face. Had she...really meant that? His heart started to throb and he did the same, shutting all emotions down, "Your welcome."

Uni smiled, "Van..hm." He had watched her turn and did the same.

Van stared. Blinked a couple times, and stared some more. "Oh...my GOD!" She said and lost it, laughing at the dirty look Ellie shot her.

"Oh shove it, wolf bitch." She grumbled then grinned deviously. "Didn't think you wanted the cute half demon to die."

"I...what?!" Van choked out.

"Cheeky smile...remember?" She whispered loudly to Kanu.

Kanus eyes went huge as he stared at the grass, "Wait...what?!" He looked right at Ellie and Uni couldn't help but laugh at him.

"You idiot!" Ellie growled as they lost their balance yet again and went down. "That was so your fault again!"

"What did you do to her?" Van asked in utter shock. "Bite her? Put a spell on her? Kiss her?"

Had a secretive conversation. Ellie added mentally. She had seen the confused look on Kanu's face. She just hoped he believed her when she'd said that.

"Bite..? Kiss?!" Kanu choked out and hid his face. "I know it was my fault." He hissed, "What...what should I do?!"

"Try getting off me?" Ellie suggested. "And I told you what to do. Give her the cheeky smile." She whispered right back. "By the way..that bitterness you talked about....he doesn't look too bitter right now."

"Well you must have done something!" Van continued, watching them. "Because I have not seen this side of Ellie for a while now. Especially were demons are involved." She added the last a little more quietly.

"I thought I told you to shove it, wolf bitch." Ellie growled.

"Are...are you sure it's.." He just stopped talking and hoisted himself up with the one arm that he could use. Kanu couldn't face Van, "He's not bitter because he gets a kick out of watching me look like a fool."

Once she was on her feet again, she leaned in, purposely making it look like she was going to kiss him...for their audience's entertainment. "So? Turn it around and make him look like a fool." She whispered. "Look at me and Van? We are equally bantering at each other."

Van sucked in a breath and shot a look at Krystal as Ellie leaned in. For some reason, she felt a connection with the female demon.

Ellie snickered when she heard Van. "I'm telling you. Cheeky. Smile."

"I...I don't do those kind of smiles." Which, was a total lie. Kanu didn't move. He was to nervous and even when he wasn't moving, he almost fell on his ass again.

Krystal looked at Van, knowing what Ellie had planned. "Get in there! Don't let her kiss him!" Her eyes said.

"Are you sure?" Ellie asked, leaning closer. "Cause I think you can do one." She darted a quick look back at the other three. "Or, you could turn this whole thing around and direct it at Mr. Bitter and Hateful over there."

Van's cheeks lit up at Krystal's look. She was still shocked by Ellie's behavior. "Ellie Londington!" She shouted.

Ellie winced. "Better hurry and choose. Cheeky smile, or Mr. Bitter."

"Choose! I can barly stand on my own two feet!" He choked out.

Krystal smiled and looked at Kanu. "This could get interesting." She whispered to Uni.

She gave him a devious grin and wrapped an arm around his waist, helping support his weight, but still keeping her back to everyone else. "Now you can't use that excuse."

Now Van was getting pissed. She knew Ellie was doing this to get back at her. "Ellie..." She growled, taking a step closer to them.

"Hurry up, Kanu. Van might kill both of us." She leaned in even closer, her lips touching his cheek. "And her reaction should be proof enough she has the hots for you."

Kanu couldn't turn, "Are you trying to get us killed?!" He hissed out quietly. He didn't even want to turn to face a raging Van, but it looked as if it was his only choice.

Krystal giggled and Uni groaned.

Ellie considered his question. "That depends on what you do next." She leaned in and kissed his cheek, then stepped away to face Van. "Just making sure he's worth it." She told her innocently.

"Of all the...Ellie..." She couldn't get out a straight sentence she was so pissed. "That's it!" She growled and strode up to where Ellie and Kanu were. Her cheeks were stained red from watching Ellie kiss his cheek. "You. Me. Long talk." She said in a savage tone.

"Just us? You don't want to take the cute one too?" She smiled sweetly. "Hell, you have two to choose from!" She said, dragging Uni into this, since Kanu couldn't seem to.

Kanu whipped around and faced Van. He put a hand on her shoulder, hoping she wouldn't take his head off right then.

"What the hell!?" Uni growled, "I am not getting in this."

Van stopped and stared at his hand, eyes narrowing. Was he...protecting her? Had they really done something else none of the rest of them were aware of.

Ellie heard Uni. "Why not? You're a male, aren't you?" She looked him up and down. "Looks like it too me. That means, you're fair game."

"I'd suggest you remove that hand if you want to keep it." Van said furiously.

"I told you...you should have just given her the cheeky smile." Ellie sighed at Kanu.

Kanu removed his hand and backed up. Oh yeah...he was dead meat.

"I'd rather stay out of it and watch Kanu squirm." He said and gave a wicked smile.

Something came out of Kanu that even he hadn't expected. A low vicious growl escaped his mouth and he turned to face Uni.

Van glared at all of them. "You. Me. Now." She told Ellie.

Ellie ignored Van for a minute. "Huh...guess you must think he is hotter than you." She told Uni, hiding her grin at Kanu's growl. "Guess that makes your choice easy, Van."

Van lost it. "Ellie Londington! Just because you had relationship problems does not give you the right to play matchmaker for me!" She snarled and froze, eyes going wide.

Kanu, Uni and Krystal didn't even breath. They all looked at one person...Van.

Van knew she couldn't take that back. But oh how she wished she could!

Ellie's face had instantly gone into a fake mask of emotion, still showing a small smile. That one had stung. A lot. But, she had learned to hide those feelings. "Maybe it just explains why I'm so picky about what men are the right candidates for you." She said with a shrug. "And this one fits nicely." She added, pointing back at Kanu.

Kanu felt the poke. He gulped, noticing he was in the middle of the two girls.

Van closed her eyes, shoving this aside for later. Then turned to face Kanu. She tilted her head. "He is kinda cute." She agreed.

Ellie smirked, and because she could. "Too bad you aren't as hot as he is." She told Uni innocently.

Van sighed. "I think it's time we headed to that village we were supposed to be going to?" She suggested to Ellie.

Kanu blinked a few times and tried to move his arm. He grit his teeth but no pain showed on his face. You idiot! His mind yelled.

Uni just snorted and rolled his eyes, turning back to Krystal.

Ellie waited while Van went to talk real quick with Krystal. She was sure no one was watching her, so she let the mask drop for a few seconds, the pain and sorrow that comment had caused there for the world to see.

"If you want to travel along, that is the village we'll be in." Van told her. "If you come, I can offer all of you my medical assistance." She looked them all over. "And I think you should take me up on that offer."

Uni had seen the expression Ellie gave and his eyes softened. Wonder if she's ok...

Kanu hadn't seen it, his eyes focused on the sky.

Krystal shook her head, "Thank you..we will all come." She muttered and looked at Uni. She lifted herself up to Van and whispered as softly as she could, "Look at who he's staring at."

She felt someone watching her, so she quickly put the mask in place and waited quietly for Van.

Van followed Krystal's gaze and stared. "Oh hell no.." She whispered in amusement. "I think that you coming with us...could be very entertaining." Van whispered.

Not wanting to wait any longer, Ellie finally shouted at Van. "Are we going? Or are you too ensnared by the half demons hotness?"

Van sighed. "Very entertaining." She repeated.

Krystal sighed, "To interesting if you ask me."

Kanu had seen Uni and gave a sly smile. Uni turned his gaze towards him and snarled.

"We're coming!" She shouted back at Ellie.

Ellie paused. "We?" She asked.

"Oh don't even start with me, Tamale." Van growled at her, then turned to Krystal. "Mind as well get a move on before someone...or ones...attack each other."

Ellie just stuck out her tongue and started walking.

Uni and Kanu kept looking at each other. They were both in a snarling fit, staying a ways back from the group.

Krystal groaned, "Shut the hell up!"

"Don't tell him that!" Van giggled at her. "I think he's even cuter when he snarls!"

Ellie didn't stop to see if anyone followed. She was determined to get to the next village so she could shower, eat, and sleep on a bed.

"It get's annoying after listening to it for a while." She groaned and picked up a small rock. She turned and hurdled it at them. It hit Kanu and he rubbed his head, "Uni! Was that you?!" He snarled and they both stared each other down.

"That didn't seem to work out quiet as planned..." Van stated, slowly starting to move in the direction Ellie was disappearing. "Unless you want them to go after each other." She snickered.

"Ugh, why did Van invite them to come with us!" Ellie was working herself up. Part of which was probably because she was still hurt by what Van had said.

Uni snarled and bent Kanus arm back. Kanu snarled in pain and brought his hand to Unis throat.

"Oh for the love of God." Krystal growled and put her head in her hands.

"Wow." Van watched. "Do you think it's safe to leave them alone? You could come chill in the room Ellie and I get, until they pull their acts together." She paused. "Or maybe I should have Ellie come back here...she could probably whip them into shape."

"Stupid...demons." Ellie growled out and sighed. Raising her head to the sky, she uttered a single word. "Why?"

Krystal sighed, "Wait...just a sec." She made a few hand movements and the two demons disappeared in their shadows. In an instant they popped up in front of her and she grabbed them both by the back of their necks, "Common boys...we have a long walk."

Van couldn't help but laugh at them. "Oh, I think you and I will get along great!" She told Krystal, walking next to her, but avoiding the boys.

She made it to the village way before the others. And the first thing she decided to do was hit the tavern. But, for once, she didn't try to loose herself in the booze, she just sat at a table, eating a small meal she'd ordered. She listened to all the conversations around her, and spotted a couple of guys across the way eying her. Wonder if they'll give me problems...

Krystal laughed, "I hope so." She looked at both of the men. They both looked like warriors and she looked like..well..a demon. "I think this calls for a makeover." She said and smiled, changing into her human state.

Van stared. "That would be a totally kick ass party trick. Especially if you changed your breast size." She said, not even thinking about the guys with them.

The two guys were whispering and looking at her still. She just sat back, not looking at them directly, but keeping her eye on them. "I promised Van I wouldn't get into anymore bar fights." She grumbled.

"Hey there, perdy thing!" One of the guys had sauntered over without her noticing. "Mind if I join you?" He sat down before she could respond. Then the other one came.
"Well hell! Look at how hot you are!" He sat down on her other side, pinning her between the guys.

Oh Gods...She sighed. I promised!

They finally arrived at the town and Uni had fidgeted out of her grasp...and headed for the tavern.
Krystal laughed, "Isn't he heading right where Ellie said where she was going?"

"Oh shit..." Van groaned. "I don't know either of them." She walked towards the Inn.

"Ah, come on! Let me buy ya another!" Guy A kept pestering her.
"Don't let that buffoon steal your heart" Guy B whispered, leaning in closer than she liked.
Guy A placed a possessive hand on her leg. "I saws her first." He growled at Guy B.

"And I am getting a headache listening to both of you speak." Ellie growled. "Go. Away." She said it clearly so they wouldn't miss anything. "And get your hand off me."

"Now that's no way to talk ta a man." Guy A growled, squeezing her leg. And that's when her metal plate connected with his head.

Uni opened the doors and the whole tavern went silent.

Kanu just let Krystal carry him but she soon dropped him. He landed on both his feet.

"Keep him company..I'm gonna make sure Uni doesn't kill everyone." Krystal said and walked off.

Kanu wanted to grab her leg and beg her not to leave. Here came that racing pulse again..

Van just looked at him. "I think she meant babysit." She sighed, and headed into the Inn.

The moment of silence was broken by the loud crack of a glass connecting with someone's head. And just like that, the whole tavern seemed to get rowdy again, going back to whatever they had been doing. "Touch me there again and you won't ever be having kids!" Ellie snarled at Guy B.

"You hellfire bitch!" Guy A snarled at her and drew a knife. Guy B clutched his face in agony, and groped around for anything to throw at her. His hand found the plate that she'd used against Guy A. He swung it at Ellie's head, but she ducked it. Guy A came at her with the knife at the same moment. She cursed and dodged, getting a lovely slice on the arm.

"Calm down boys." Krystal said and walked in, going past Uni. Of course, the demon already had his hands pointed towards the two guys. In an instant both were blown back and landed 5 feet away, the knife sliding and Uni got it under his foot, a grin painting his lips.

Ellie blinked. "What the hell!" She snarled at both Krystal and Uni. "I didn't ask for your help!" She chucked the remainder of the glass at Uni. Guy B was on his feet, red in the face, he let out a bellow of outrage and charged her, not quite realizing that it hadn't been Ellie that had caused him to go flying. She had been chucking the glass and turned a fraction too late, getting slammed by Guy B. They both went down. Him bellowing still. Her calling him every name she could think of while she tried to get her knees up. Then Guy A was back in action. He threw a chair at the demon pair, not knowing what they were.

"Can I get...two rooms please?" Van asked the clerk at the Inn.
"Yes ma'am. We have two available." He paused and blushed. "I'm..I'm sorry. Actually we have one room left."
"How many beds?" Van asked.
"Two." He answered.
"Fine. Just give us that one." She sighed. Let the boys duke it out over the second bed. The women were sharing the first one.

"Go charm the one throwing chairs...I have the other one." Uni said and smirked.
Krystal cackled, "Will do." She knocked away the chair with a swipe of her hand. Right then she was by his face, her breath against his neck, "You really are something."

Uni soon had the guy on top of Ellie in a death grip. He lifted him up by the neck and threw him into a table. He brought out his blade, the end right at the mans throat.

Kanu stayed where he was but soon wandered away, practically leaving where he needed to stay.

Van headed up to check out the room. She wanted to make sure there really were two beds. To her surprise, there was. "Well...this will just have to do."

Ellie was on her feet and standing next to Uni. She grabbed his blade, not caring that it sliced her hand, and moved it from the guys throat. "This one's mine." She snarled at him and grabbed a fist full of the guys shirt. "I think I owe you a little bit for...earlier." Her eyes flashed with anger and her cheeks lit up a little. She dragged the guy forward until he stumbled on his feet. Then she brought her knee up viciously to the man's groin.

Uni looked at his now bloodied blade, his eyes flashing red. He growled a bit, his chest rumbling.

Krystal knocked the man against the wall and stared at Uni, "Oh no."

Kanu didn't even know where he was. A lot of people were staring at him, mumbling things. Kanu snarled at them, "What are you looking at?"

She dropped the man to the ground as he howled in pain and shot a heated look at Uni. "You want to start something too?" She snarled. Ellie could now officially claim she was having a bad day. First they'd been sent to their death by the SA. Van had to bring up her near fatality of a relationship with a demon. Now she'd had some drunk dumbass try to get in her pants, thinking he was in charge of any woman. She was fuming, felt violated, and had no tolerance for some demon pissed off at who knew what.

"I think I should go find Ellie now." Van sighed. "Or else we wont be staying here tonight and instead running from the town mob."

Uni cocked an eyebrow at her. A small smile escaped his lips and a chuckle.

Krystal walked over to him, putting a firm hand on his shoulder and reached for his pants, "Don't make me." She snarled into his ear and he shoved her away.

Kanu hadn't been paying attention and ran straight into a man. He gripped the demon by the throat and picked him up, "You look like shit...and don't know what your doing." Kanu snarled, "Better drop me asshole. I'll beat you down with one hand." Which of course, was all he could use. Kanu finally escaped from the mans grip and he made the first move. The half demon pulled the blade from it's case and sliced it upward, cutting the mans chest open.

Van decided that when everyone wanted to, they could just follow her scent to the room. But she had a few errands to run. She left a few belongings in the room, so they would know, and headed back out to find someplace she could restock her med-kit.

Her hand twitched and she almost punched him. It was the small chuckle. Laughing at her was not a good idea right now. She narrowed her eyes dangerously at him. "Don't think I wont kick your ass." She said in a quieter tone. "After the day I've had...I'd kick Satan's ass with a grin on my face."

Uni couldn't help it. His smile grew wider and he let out a laugh this time, not a chuckle. "Sweety...have fun with that."

Krystal could feel the tension, "Uni!" She hissed out in an angry tone, "Stop it!"

Kanu felt his knees buckle, "No! Damnit!" He got a kick to the face and snarled, standing up. He gave the man a powerful upercut and then brought his fist to meet his stomach.

Van was quite pleased with the deal she'd been able to get on some of her supplies. She carried a bag filled with herbs, thread, needles, and a few vials of liquid. Pausing, she'd thought she'd heard Kanu. Feeling like a curious cat, she wandered cautiously towards the noise.

The laughing. That did her in. It brought back memories of her time training at the SA. He was close enough that she didn't have to move much to touch him. She didn't broadcast her movements, and struck without warning, a fist aimed towards his head.

"You son of a bitch!" The man yelled and brought out a knife. "Wow...that's scary." Kanu muttered but soon figured out that it didn't feel very good. The man had stabbed him right in the chest. "F off!" Kanu yelled and brought his hand up to his throat and squeezed until the man could barley breath.

Uni had taken the hit and his world went black for a few moments. He grabbed her wrist and brought it down before pulling her closer to him, "Wanna try that again?"

"Whatever." Krystal said and sighed, "Your own fault if you get your ass kicked."

"Kanu!" Van shouted in a mix of shock, anger, maybe a little fear. God! No wonder Krystal had to keep an eye on these two. They were right up there with Ellie!

She did, but didn't aim at his head again. This time she went for a groin shot, but pulled back and changed it to a stomach shot. For some reason, she couldn't bring herself to do that to him...yet.

Kanu had heard his name and turned, the guy taking a shot. He sliced his cheek open with the knife and Kanu hissed, tightening his grip.

Uni cringed a bit. He wouldn't admit it, but that had hurt pretty damn bad. He smiled again, squeezing her wrist before letting it go.

Van walked up to them, a fire burning in her eyes. When she was right next to them she glared at Kanu first, then in a couple quick moves, hit Kanu upside the head and landed a, hopefully, hard enough hit to knock the guy out. She did not want to have to run from a village mob today. That had happened a few times...not something she wanted to repeat.

"Asshole." Ellie growled at him. A sharp pain shot up from her foot. "What the hell?!" She looked down to see Guy B (i think thats the right one..) and a knife in her foot. How the hell had he managed to gain consciousness already?! And of course, just to make her day worse, she went to turn so she could kick him, put weight on that foot, realized how much it actually hurt, and fell. Into the demon that kept pissing her off.

"Hey!" Kanu growled and released the man but soon took another hit from his friends. Kanu tried to stay where he was but stumbled a bit. They had gotten his shattered rib. He was facing Van, growling. It wasn't the same as before though...it sounded like a real threat. He closed his eyes and opened them again, his eyes a bloody red.

"I know." Uni answered, "I get that a lot." He didn't budge when she fell into him but snarled at the guy on the ground.

Krystal left, not wanting to get into a fight with either the slayer or Uni at this point.

"Down Fido." Van snarled at him. "I don't want any of you causing trouble here." She wasn't going to show him any of the fear that had spiked up. And when was Krystal coming back?

She grabbed his shoulder for support so she could lean down and pull the knife out of her foot. "I hate the male species in general today." She growled to know one in particular. "And I hate my life too!" She chucked the knife down at the guy, not bothering to aim, and shoved Uni away, then limped towards the entrance, so she could leave.

Uni watched her and for some reason..felt a longing sadness. His eyes had softened a bit and he noticed it. Uni shook his head and snarled madly.

Krystal saw Kanu and gulped, "Van! Get away!" She screamed. She knew Kanu couldn't control his demon.

Van backed away slowly, never taking her eyes off him. That was a big no no in her book. Always keep the bigger predator in you sights.

Ellie heard Krystal shout at Van. Was Van in trouble? She cursed everything in general and ran, gritting her teeth against the pain in her foot. She saw Van backing away from the half demon. "What...the hell?" She got out in a whisper. Had it happened again? Had she trusted another demon that was going to try and kill them...like before?

Kanu went to his knees and Krystal could feel the demon energy fading. She had ran up to Van and put a hand on her shoulder, "I doubt he would have hurt you anyway...but he still can't control it." She muttered, but kept her eyes on him.

"I think," Van said to Krystal, still watching him, "that we need to round up our troublemakers. And herd them into the room at the Inn. So they can't cause any more problems out here."

Ellie had stopped when she saw Krystal there, helping. Alright...so maybe she was wrong. And maybe these demons were...different. She didn't want to go over there. Her foot was throbbing in time with her rapid heartbeat. Looking up at the building she was next to, she sighed with a grin. It was the Inn. "Guess they'll all follow soon enough." She muttered and headed in.

Kanu got to his legs and grabbed his throbbing head. He didn't even look up, afraid to find out what they would think of him after his...episode.

Uni finally made his way out of the tavern after a few words with the guys who had bothered Ellie and also a few who tried to fight him.

"He looks like a pup that did something wrong." Van mock whispered to Krystal. "Oh come on." She turned and started towards the Inn. "I'll have to go find Ellie too." She thought aloud. "I hope she didn't get into another bar fight."

Ellie found the right room. She saw Van's stuff in the corner and dropped her own bag off there. Kicking off her shoes, she got a good look at the stab wound. "Van's gonna be pissed." She groaned, and crashed onto the bed closest to the door.

"I'll get Kanu and go find Uni." Krystal said and sighed, "He may be anywhere by now."

She walked over to Kanu and put a hand on his shoulder, "Common sweety."

He laughed a bit, "Sweety?"

Van paused in the street. She was near the tavern. "Do I even want to go check?" Last few villages that Ellie and she had been in...well, they definitely wouldn't ever forget that red head. "Oh God...as long as there is no mob."

She laid on her back and clutched a pillow to her chest. Since she was alone, it was her only opportunity to get the hurt out of her system that Van had cause. Not to mention just how much her day had sucked in general today. "Was it really so much to ask? To have just one person care about me in that way?" She whispered.

Uni stood at the tavern doors, twirling his bloody blade.

"Uni!" Krystal snapped, "Please tell me you didn't kill anyone?!" Kanu was right behind her and looked at Uni, who now had a grin painting his face. That grin is never a good thing...

Van spotted Uni as well. "I swear to the stars in the sky, if you pissed off this village and a mob comes after me again....!" She growled at the demon, then paused. Where was Ellie? Her eyes widened. "Where's my partner?"

"She left already." Uni answered and then looked at Krystal, "No...I didn't kill anyone."

Krystal let out a sigh of relief, "Thankfully...now get your ass over here!"

"Just like that. She left?" Van gave him a suspicious look. "You didn't do anything to her, did you?" She was very protective of her partner...even if she was a pain in the ass. Or said hurtful things..."Awe shit!" Van groaned.

Ellie had taken total advantage of the shower and not having anyone here. She'd also switched out of the "slayer gear" as she called it, opting for the simple pants and tank. Her wet hair felt good along her back and the hot wash cloth she had wrapped around her foot helped stop the throbbing a little.

"Let's say some...guys were giving her problems." Uni muttered out. It had bothered him to say that.

Krystal caught the look that went across his face and had choked on her own laughter. Kanu watched her as she cupped her hand over her mouth, closing her eyes shut.

Van caught the look too, but had to ask. "Guys? Oh God. She didn't kill any of them..did she?" Van was afraid to know that answer. She was already mentally figuring how quick they could be gone from here and on their way towards the next village...about four days away.

"No...none of them are dead. One has a screwed up face now though...that glass must have hurt. The other...well..he will be in pain for the next few months I'm guessing." Uni snickered, "Or longer.'

Krystal saw the same look again and lost her balance, falling on Kanu. He snarled in pain when he crashed into the ground. The added weight hadn't helped at all.

Van looked at Krystal and Kanu, trying to hide her look from Uni. "I'm sure Ellie will appreciate knowing that." Van said innocently. She quickly walked over to Krystal and Kanu, helping the female demon up. "Ellie's at the Inn. I caught her scent. I think we should get these two there...now." Before they find something else to beat up.

Ellie had Van's bag on the bed next to her now. She was digging through it, looking for something to put on her foot. "Where the hell is that numbing cream." She growled.

Kanu gripped Krystals arm and brought himself up. Krystal didn't even budge and he looked at her funny. The girl demon was definitely not to be taken lightly. "Yes...we should." Krystal answered, shooting a look at Uni and then at Kanu.

Van sighed. "Ok kids, let's go now." She said to Kanu and Uni, winking at Krystal. "I'll let you take the back of the line...so none of them can escape."

"Success!" Ellie found the numbing cream and pulled the washcloth off long enough to spread a thin layer of the cream on her foot. "Hope Van will be here soon. That needs stitches." And Ellie didn't do needles.

Krystal giggled and winked back.

Uni had looked at her and she gave an innocent smile, "Oh, don't look so gloomy love. We're almost there."

Van lead them back to the Inn. She walked up the first flight of stairs and opened the sixth door on the left. She entered and then stopped in front of the bed. "Did you find what you were looking for?" She asked Ellie, eying her bag on the bed.

"Sure did. But you'll have to stitch it up." She pointed at her foot. "Got stabbed."

"At least it wasn't shot. Or burned." Van shivered remembering that hellish time. Ellie had not been a good patient then. "Guess it's safe to assume the water works well here?"

Ellie just shot her a wolfish grin.

"Oh damn..stairs now? Fun." Kanu groaned and attempted to make his way up. Uni laughed when he fell, but it wasn't as funny when he elbowed him in the stomach and knocked him down. Krystal had her hands covering her eyes, shivering with laughter and trying to hold back the tears.

"Be warned, the satan twins are coming in." Van told Ellie.

"Oh joy." She muttered, running her fingers through her still damp hair. "Maybe I should say a few Hail Mary's?"

Van stumbled and made it to the chair next to the little table, laughing. "Oh, don't get them any more riled up! Or I wont be able to stitch your foot up." She choked out, wondering how much of this the three demons had heard.

Kanu snarled when Uni had hit him.

"That's what you deserve." Uni growled and stood up.

Kanu had tried to get up and did something Krystal had almost. He grabbed Unis pants and pulled them down.

"Fuck!" Was all that came from Unis mouth and he pulled them up quickly.

Krystal couldn't breathe anymore. She had collapsed on the ground, laughing extremely hard.

Van heard the yell and stuck her head out at just the wrong...or right moment. She slammed into the wall next to her in her laughter, sliding down along it until she was sitting on the floor, curled up in laughter.

"What the hell are you chortling about?" Ellie asked, watching Van. "And now what is that demon sputtering about?"

"In! Get...in here...Now!" Van gasped out. "Before...someone...sees you!" She couldn't breathe.

Uni stood there with his hand on his face after pulling his pants back up.

Kanu couldn't breathe any longer and tears streamed down Krystals face, "Beautiful..job!" Was all she got out from her laughter and Kanu rolled on his side.

"My foot is going so far up your ass after this." Uni growled out.

Van managed to stand up and move out of the doorway so the three could enter. "You just missed the greatest thing." She whispered to Ellie as she walked by.

"Isn't that the story of my life?" Ellie said dryly. "But in this case, I'll bite."

"Ask them when they walk in." She giggled and almost lost it again. "And give me my bag so I can get some stuff out!" She snatched her bag from Ellie.

Kanu and Krystal had helped themselves up the stairs, still laughing extremely hard. Both of them walked into the room and shot devious grins at Van, waiting for another eruption of laughter to take her over.

They didn't have to wait long. One look at Kanu's face and she lost it again, head falling onto her arms on the table. There was no way she was going to be able to get the needle and thread ready at the moment. Poor Ellie was just going to have to wait...which was probably a good thing, since as soon as she was clued in, Uni would probably inflict more damage on her.

"Y'all need to check into the mental institute in the village about a week's worth of travel away." Ellie stated, watching the group. She had her knees pulled up and her arms wrapped around them, leaning against them. This of course caused the tank she was wearing to be a little more revealing in the front.

Both of them started to laugh harder when Uni walked in.

"Shut your traps!" He snarled out, "Damn two year olds."

Krystal was starting to lose her balance. "Krystal! No, stay..upright!" Was all he could get out until they crashed into the floor.

"Ask!" Van gasped out from her arms, trying to breathe.

Ellie stared at them all, then looked at Uni. "What happened to you?" She asked. "Must have been pretty bad." She added, looking at Krystal and Kanu on the floor.

"Quite the opposite." Van choked. "It was very...." She couldn't finish.

Uni grit his teeth and put his head down, ready for the ugly truth to spill out to Ellie.

Of course, neither of them could answer. "Give me..a few..seconds." Krystal gasped out.

Van couldn't get anything else out. There was just no way now that she could get a hold of herself. It was even worse when she stole a peek at the demons face!

Ellie just stared at them all and waited.

Krystal had noticed the slight blush that crept across Unis face which had made her fit even worse. She hid her face in Kanus stomach and the half demon covered his own face with his hands.

Van managed to choke out a single, strangled word. "Pants..."

Ellie stared at the group, then at Uni. Pants? Then she remembered in the bar, when Krystal had threatened to pull the demons pants off. She looked down at Krystal and Kanu. "You didn't?!" She gasped in utter amusement. Damnit! She should have stuck her head out the door with Van!

"No!" Krystal choked out and looked at Kanu, "It wasn't me!" Kanu was just laying there laughing.

Now she understood their laughter. "Well this sucks!" She growled. "I missed it."

Van hiccuped and choked when she heard that.

Ellie eyed the two demons on the floor. "Care to do a repeat?" She asked innocently, shooting a malicious grin at Uni. "I can distract him long enough for you to accomplish it."

"Don't you dare!" He hissed at Kanu, who had sat up. He gave a devious grin at Ellie, making sure Uni hadn't seen it.

Krystal was sitting by Kanus side, finally able to get in a few good breaths.

Van was watching, her head still cushioned on her arms.

Ellie winked once slyly at Kanu, then crossed her legs, so her knees weren't up anymore. She put her arms behind her, leaning back a little and just watched Kanu and Krystal, like she was waiting for their answer still. The light purple tank she wore wasn't a very thick cotton. And she was still damp.

Uni watched Ellie but shook his head and backed up again. Kanu had been so close to! He was about to grab his black pants when Uni had left his spot. Krystal laid back down, trying hard to stop from having another fit.

"Erm...door." Ellie stated casually to Kanu. The door was shut. He wasn't escaping. Hell, she'd get up and do it herself here in a minute if they couldn't catch him.

Van bit her lip to keep from making any sound. This was about to hit the roof. I just hope the roof is still here afterwords.

Uni kicked away Kanus hand and reached for the handle and opened the door.

"No!" Krystal yelled and lunged after she had stood up. Instead of getting his pants her arms wrapped around his waist and they both went down.

Van shoved her head back between her arms.

Ellie sighed at all of them. She stood up, stepped around Kanu and walked over to Krystal and Uni. "People are going to stare." She told them, since they were half in, half out of the room. A huge grin spread across her lips, and she reached down to help Krystal up...pointedly looking at Uni's pants as she knelt down.

Krystal smiled as she stood up and Uni snarled. "Don't touch me!"

"Temper temper." Ellie chided. "And here, I was just trying to play nice and help you up." She was crouched next to him still, arms crossed over her chest. Her hair framed her face, still a little damp. The faint scent of strawberries wafted from it.

Van snorted. She had managed to calm down enough to sit up. "I think we all need to take a few deep breaths." She said, following her own advice.

Kanu finally stood up and looked at Ellie and then Uni, watching. He wanted to see what Uni would do.

Uni didn't look at her, "Yeah right." He snorted out and the scent hit his nose.

She remained where she was. "You really are an asshole." She told him. Debating on what she could do to him while he was on the floor, ignoring her to a degree.

Van motioned for Krystal to join her at the table. It was a safe distance away.

"Yup." Uni answered and finally looked at her, watching to see what she would do.

Krystal staggered over and joined her at the table, "So..what's up?" She laughed at Kanu, who was watching Ellie with a devious grin painting his lips.

"I think we are safest over here. Those three are going to...be problematic in a second. I know Ellie very well." Van sighed, preparing for what happened.

Ellie gave him a seductive grin, and placed a light hand on his chest, dragging a finger around in a design. "Sometimes the assholes can be the funnest to play with." She confided conspiratorially, holding his gaze the whole time. Her hypnotic design kept getting lower and lower.

"Oh no..." Van started pulling out more medical supplies.

Krystal watched Ellie and almost busted out laughing.

Uni watched her hand, his face clearly showing irritation.

She leaned closer, her chest lightly brushing his. Her face was inches from his. "Want to know something else about the assholes?" She said softly, eyes dancing. Her hand had stilled at the top of his pants. She was forcing him to focus on her face...and the light brushing of her chest...not her hand. "They take things too seriously." She breathed. Then rose to her feet and went to curl back up on the bed.

Van was the only one who had caught what she'd done. Since she'd watched Ellie do it before. Once the demon stood up on his own, he'd learn what she did too. And they would get a second free show.

Uni growled a bit and sat up, but didn't stand. He new Ellie had done something.

Krystal watched Uni and her eyes danced viciously. "Kanu sweety...go turn on the water." Kanu looked at her, "Your going to...aren't you?"
"I'll see if I can." She answered with a giggle.

Ellie rubbed at her foot. It was itching and burned a little still. She just ignored Uni now, but kept a watch from the corner of her eyes.

Van gave Krystal a questioning look. "Should I...prepare myself for something?" She noticed Ellie rubbing her foot and started to sort out her needles and thread again.

"Well...Uni hates getting wet when he's in his clothes...just watch and wait." Krystal said and cackled.

Kanu went into the bathroom and turned on the faucet, both in the shower and in the sink. "Alright."

Krystal smiled and moved her fingers, the water slowly starting to move.

Van just watched in fascination. "Oh this is going to be good." She whispered.

Now, Ellie was curious what they were doing. She kept rubbing at her foot though, since the slow massaging she was doing was helping it to stop itching and burning.

"After all this...us women should congregate into the bathroom." Van whispered. "Where they can't follow or hear us."

Krystal smiled and the water rushed out and aimed straight at Uni.

"Damn." Uni growled as the water smashed into him.

She just giggled, "Feel better love?"

He just brought up his middle finger and shook off.

"Take your pick." Ellie replied to him flipping them off. "You got three women to choose from. Though, I think you might have to fight the half demon for Van." She didn't look at any of them, hiding her grin as she said that.

Van sighed and couldn't completely keep the blush from appearing on her cheeks.

Uni snarled when Kanu walked out from the bathroom. His hand glowed black and vines shot out at him. "Oh hell!" Kanu yelled and the vines pierced through him, wrapping around his body before pulling him to the ground.

Van stared at them. "I think I'm going to end up using all the supplies I just bought."

Ellie was close to Kanu and blinked in surprise when the black vines wrapped around him. She gave Uni a dirty look. "Don't take your anger out on him just because he could get some when you can't." She growled out.

Kanu knew what was coming next. He seemed to shut down his whole body, going limp as his head fell.

Krystal looked at him and then at Van, hoping she wouldn't freak out from what just took place...Kanu did in fact look pretty dead.

Van shot Krystal a frantic look. "He's...alright...isn't he?" She asked quietly.

Ellie continued to give Uni the same dirty look. God! He just needs to stand up. She thought with a growl, trying to figure out what she could say or do that would cause him to stand. And what she would do to escape afterward.

Krystal refrained on answering, "I...I don't know." He's fine...I just don't want to tell her...wonder what she'll do? She made sure Van couldn't read her thoughts and made her expression look scared.

Van couldn't pull her eyes from Kanu's body. Her leg kept bouncing in frustration. Was he ok? Did she need to check? Of course she should check! But...why weren't Krystal and Uni flipping out that much? Van bit her lip.

Ellie eyed the bathroom. And the water. How easily could she get in there? Pretty easily, she thought. But it was a trap in itself. If he came after her when she went in there, she wouldn't have an exit. Still...it was better than just sitting here..waiting. She shot him a look then started to crawl across the bed towards the bathroom.

Kanu had let the state go on longer than he should have. He gasped for a breath but his body went limp again and he fell on his back. Now...Krystal didn't know if he was ok. "Kanu!" She screamed and jumped from her seat, right to his side.

Van was right there with Krystal. "Kanu?" She asked, voice panicked as she knelt by him.

Ellie managed to make it to the bathroom. Once there she glanced behind her once, then looked back at her reflection. She wondered, faintly, what the others would think about the injuries she'd sustained in her last demon fight. Van had done one damn good job of stitching the claw marks up, but Ellie still had to be a concealer of them. There were four marks. The longest of which started from just between her breasts and went down to just above her pant line. "You're a mess." She told her reflection. "And a bitch." She closed her eyes and sighed.

The black vines let lose of Kanu, but he still didn't move.

Krystal put her hand on his chest and put a little bit of pressure, "You held it out to long! You know the permanent consequences holding it to long could cause!" She hissed in fear.

Now Van was getting pissed. "What the hell are you talking about?" She asked Krystal, her medical training kicking in. First, fingers to the throat. Pulse there, but rapid. Next, the injuries from the vines. A few stitches would close those up, and a little kick from her healing ability would help him heal those. Now, the damage the eye couldn't see.

She opened her eyes again and spotted a small window in the bathroom. Staring at it, she wondered how long it would take for everyone to notice she was missing? Would anyone besides Van care?

"He...he shut down everything so he wouldn't have to sustain the pain that the vines caused afterwords." Krystal said in a shaky voice, "Since...he held it out to long...his body may not work properly and soon kill him.."

Uni had stood up, holding his pants tight. He had a good feeling as to what might happen. But he noticed they weren't paying attention and snuck out of the inn itself.

A few of those famed power words came from her as she squeezed out the window. A little late, it dawned on her that she wasn't exactly...dressed properly for walking around. She let out a frustrated sigh. "Not like I haven't been in worse situations." She said sadly. Which was true. There was one whole village a long ways away from here that had gotten to see every bit of her naked flesh. That was when she stopped trusting people. And demons.

"Foolish idiots." Van snarled. "Help me get his shirt off. So I can see the damn wounds." Van was in bitch mode now. Which she usually didn't show anyone except Ellie..unless it was an enemy. But...Kanu...awe hell! Ellie was right. She did have a thing for the half demon.

Krystal helped get off his shirt (ahh...the dreaded shirt) and placed her hand on his head. A fever had started. "Damnit!" She growled.

Uni had made his way to the top of the inn. He was looking out, the night actually soothing him. He took in a deep breath and bit his lip. He felt bad about what he'd done to Kanu...and the guilt was starting to get to him.

"Bag." Van barked at Krystal. "And cold water." She placed her hands on his chest and the green fire lept up, flowing across the wounds. She kept it up until the worst of the wounds was hardly pink around the edges. "Finally find a guy that I like...and look what happens." Van muttered as she worked, not realizing Krystal...and Kanu...could hear her.

Ellie stayed in the shadows of the buildings, walking along. She had her arms wrapped around herself, hiding her chest and keeping herself warm. A chaos of thoughts were fluttering about. All based around getting over her..dislike...of demons. She really did want to give these three a chance.

Uni had his legs over the side and his hand facing the sky, his palm up. A small flame danced around and he averted his gaze, looking at nothing in particular. He was starting to give up his attitude and saddness slowly crept across him. The hand that didn't hold the flame gripped his arm tight.

Krystal stood up, handing Van the bag. She went to get some cold water...and let out a little smile at her comment.

"What...what was that..?" Kanu choked out weakly, struggling a bit.

Thank God she'd had a long time to practice removing her foot from her mouth while she worked. Her hands remained steady as she pulled a salve out of her bag. "I..." She sighed. "You heard me just fine." She said weakly, rubbing the ointment onto his chest, working it into the wounds. It was the same numbing one that Ellie had used earlier. It would help make it more comfortable for him when she stitched them up.

It must have just been her bad luck tonight with men. She ran into a drunk group walking along. And of course, they just had to notice she didn't have a bra on. And that her shirt was a little see-through. "Why don't you come stay with me tonight, honey. We'd all love to keep you company." One of them said and the others agreed.

Kanu laughed a bit, but realized that was a bad move on his part. "Ouch." He growled out, closing his eyes shut in pain.

The flame grew brighter and blood ran down his arm. "What a demon you are." Uni growled out to himself.

"Just...shut your trap." Van snarled. "Your own damn fault for this predicament. And for making me worry." Awe hell! She really was falling for him!

"Back off." Ellie muttered quietly.

One of them threw an arm around her shoulders. "Awe, come on honey!" He giggled. "I can be gentle!"
"Not as gentle and sweet as me." Another one argued.

God. She was surrounded my males that thought with only their pricks! "Maybe I don't bat for that team." She said with a cheshire smile.
All the men stared at her, eyes wide. "Holy shit!" One finally answered. "We can soo get some girl on girl action!"
Ellie groaned. That was not how she wanted them to take that. Just strike me down with fucking lightning now!

Kanu couldn't help the smile, "Don't have to be so mean about it." Had he heard that last part right?

Uni closed his eyes, wanting to shut down everything. But the only demon who knew how to do that was Kanu.

She pinched him a little harder than was necessary for holding the wound closed while she stitched. "Krystal, can you just dab around the wounds while I work with the water?" She asked.

She was led to one of their houses, since they never said whose, that was above some little shop. She hadn't fought them yet, as she didn't feel they were a threat. And it wasn't like there was anything else going on. Van would figure out she was missing and just assume she'd come wandering back. Which is what usually happened.

"Here we are." One said. "Perfect for a little fun!" Another one said, and the others agreed.
"Any of you play..poker?" Ellie asked.
The guys all grinned at each other. "Sure do." The first one answered.
"Awesome." Ellie had a huge grin. "I want to play."
"Great. Any...particular kind?" He waggled his eyebrows.
Her grin turned devious. "Strip poker."

Uni felt something. It felt as if someone had stabbed him right through the heart. He growled out in pain and fell on his back, clutching his shirt.

"Yes." Krystal answered and smiled at Kanu when he fidgeted a bit at Van pinching a little harder than she should have.

"There." Van sighed heavily. She'd used a lot of her healing ability in the last 24 hours. "See if you can sit up." She instructed him, and leaned back against the wall.

"Woot!" Larry (she finally learned some names) grinned hugely. "I finally won a hand! Pants." He told Ellie. She grumbled and removed her pants. So far..it was the only item she'd lost. So she was sitting here in a tank to and panties.
Another round went buy. "Sorry boys." Ellie grinned. "I want your pants now." She told Bob.
"And I want sex." He growled. "And...I think your cheatin!"
Ellie stared at him. "Excuse me?" She asked again. "I don't cheat! I just know how to play!" She growled at him.
"I agree with Bob." Dan piped up.
Well...perhaps her fun game of poker was coming to an end.

Uni still layed there, his heart racing. He let out a little howl of pain.

Krystal and Kanu felt demon energy and heard the howl. He looked at her and she disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Kanu looked at Van, "Thanks...and..sorry I worried you.." He muttered out quietly.

Van looked at him. "Your welcome." She replied and smiled. "And...your forgiven." She frowned when Krystal left. And then realized that Uni was missing. And Ellie. "I swear...I'm getting a damn collar for her." Van growled.

"Now, we can forgive you for the cheatin." Dan told her reasonably. "You just have too-"
"Oh go fuck yourselves." Ellie snarled and stood. She reached down to grab her pants, but Larry pulled them away. "I'd give those back. Now."
"Uh uh. We want what we brought you up here for." He said, a dark gleam in his eyes. The others started to crowd around. Van's gonna kill me.

"Uni...are you alright?" Krystal asked, appearing by his side. "What do you think?" He groaned out, "It hurts Krystal...to much."

Kanu sat up, struggling a bit. He grit his teeth in pain and growled angrily, but it sounded more playful than anything else.

Van couldn't help the laugh that escaped her. "Very cute growl." She said, covering her mouth to try and keep her laughter in.

A few loud crashes later and she had her pants back. Larry, Bob and Dan were all sprawled outside, having just exited via the window. All three of them viciously and loudly shouted up curses at her and she heard them racing back up to the room. Ellie peeked out the window to see if it was clear and jumped out. The impact on her injured foot brought a cry of pain from her, but she quickly dove between the buildings, and ran along until she found a spot she could stop and catch her breath in the shadows.

"It wasn't meant to be cute." Kanu said and blushed a bit out of embarrassment. Ah crap! Don't blush! No!

Uni growled out in agony.

"Well what do you know...you do have feelings." Krystal said and smiled.

"What?!" Uni snarled and looked up at her and knew what she thought, "No way! Not for her!"

"You can't hide it Uni." Krystal said and giggled.

Van giggled at him. "Is that a blush, Kanu?" She leaned towards him. "Yep. Sure is."

She heard the shouts again and ducked behind some boxes. "If I get another mob to come after us, Van will skin me alive...slowly." She breathed. The shouts disappeared and she stayed where she was.

"No!" Kanu barked, "Your wrong!" He slowly backed away when she got closer.

Krystal and Uni were still fighting at the top of the inn, which turned into a snarling argument.

Van snickered. "Don't have to hide it, dearest." She gave him a devious grin, leaned in closer and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, before standing up quickly. She looked around the room. "How the hell did she get out?" Van muttered to herself.

Ellie sat, leaning against the building, still hidden by the boxes. She stared at the wall across from her, thinking again. "Why do I keep getting into fights?" She asked herself. Because it gives you an excuse not to think, not to remember. Her mind whispered.

Kanu smiled and finally got himself to his feet and looked at her.

"Shut up Krytsal!"
"You know it's true Uni!"
"No, it's not!"

Van peeked into the bathroom and spotted the window. "Well, I'll be damned." She stared at it. "The little Tamale actually used her brain." She looked back at Kanu. "We have three options. Go see if Krystal needs help. Go find Ellie. Or..." She grinned at him. "Stay here. Just the two of us."

She hadn't had her guard up. Which was her foolish mistake. The three found her.

"Well there you are you little bitch." Bob reached down and grabbed a fistful of her hair before she could move.
"Oh...we have a few things planned for you." Larry said, a gleam in his eyes that had Ellie shuddering. She also noticed something...shiny on Larry, that might just save her ass here. He walked up and pressed against her. "Maybe I'll give you a small taste." He grinned and kissed her. Ellie instantly had his pistol in her hand and he froze.

"I will shoot." She growled.
"Just try." Bob snickered and pulled her head back harshly.
She fired. The shot ringing out loud and clear through the village.

Uni and Krystal had heard it and stopped arguing. "What...what was that?" Uni asked and sat up, Krystal hearing the ring.

"I..kinda like the last one." Kanu said with a sly grin.

"Do you?" She asked, giving him a flirtatious grin, then froze. Was that a...gun shot? "Please...please don't tell me that was Ellie." Van whispered, fear spiking. But she knew. She just knew it had to be her. She turned to Kanu. "Help me pack the bags, quickly!" She hissed, rushing to put away her medical stuff. Ellie was a dead woman!

Larry fell to the ground, unable to howl in pain because it was so painful. She'd shot him in...a painful spot.

"Holy shit! Larry!" Bob dragged Ellie down to the ground with him when he fell to check on his friend.
"Let go you jackass!" She shouted and hit him over the head with the pistol. He cursed her and let go. She scrambled to her feet and was faced with Dan. And another pistol. Another shot rang out and she dove, sharp pain igniting in her side.
"Get...her...kill..." Larry gasped out in a whisper.

That was it. Uni and Krystal jumped down from the inn and headed off into the night. Krystal had made a big mistake though. She was still in her human form, without Uni and without her weapons. Uni had went a different way, stalking around in the shadows.

Kanu froze also. When he heard Van he started to gather things and help pack Vans bag.

"Stupid...good for nothing...terror of a woman...I'm going to skin her. Alive. And slowly." Van ranted the entire time. "And I am so getting that damn collar the shaman had." She was so pissed right now. Her stuff was now packed. She threw her bag over her shoulder and grabbed Ellie's. "We have to leave."

She ran around a corner, holding her side and cursing herself for her stupidity. But..at least she hadn't killed him. A human. So caught up in her mental abusing that she didn't see Krystal coming around the corner, and crashed into her. "Shit!" Ellie cursed.

Krystal saw her and the first thing she set her eyes on was Ellies blood. "Ellie! What happened?!" She said and gingerly touched the wound, examining it. Uni found some men standing there, holding pistols. He snarled viciously, the only part of him visiable was his now glowing red eyes.

Kanu did the only thing that came to his mind. He leaned in and kissed her before pulling away, "Please...I know she caused a lot of trouble but try not to rampage." He hadn't when anyone got like that.

Van froze. Anger and all other thoughts momentarily wiped blank. "Wh..What?" She asked stupidly. Had he really just..kissed her?

Ellie covered it with her hand. "Nothing but my own damn stupidity." She sighed. "I deserved it." She grumbled. "And probably more."

"Where'd that bitch go?" Bob snarled, helping Larry up, they had been chasing Ellie, but had lost her while Bob maneuvered Larry around some boxes. "And that so isn't fair that you are the only one that got any sort of action from her." Bob growled at Larry. "Yeah, well..." Larry rasped, still in pain. Dan stared into the shadows eyes huge. "Uh...uh.." He couldn't get anything out. The other two looked over at Dan. Then into the shadows.

"What was that?!" Uni snarled in anger after hearing the "action" come from one of them. He shot out from the shadows, digging his hand through the one who had been closest.

Kanu looked away real quick Did I...do something wrong?

"Stop it!" Krystal hissed and yanked her hand away.

Van couldn't help when her hand rose up and touched where he'd kissed her. She was still in shock. "I..you..." She gave up on speech.

Ellie pulled back and glared at her. "It doesn't matter. I screwed up. We have to leave here." There was pain and shame in her eyes. She'd promised Van she wouldn't get into this kind of trouble again. Now she'd broken that. She felt like a failure.

Dan didn't even utter a sound when the demon struck. But Bob and Larry yelled and tried to run away too.

"Oh no you don't!" Uni yelled and ripped his hand from Dan. He growled as a fence like fire blocked Bob and Larrys path to escape, "You'll all burn in hell once I'm done with you!"

Krystal had heard it. She gasped and then shook her head, turning her focus back at Ellie. "Don't look like that..." She mumbled sadly and then saw a fire. "Uni..." She growled out.

Kanu kept looking at her, "What was that?"

Van just stared. "We...need to leave..." She said faintly, but her feet wouldn't move.

Ellie just smiled sadly at her. "It's the truth. Doesn't matter what you say. I...failed...again." She closed her eyes then heard Uni. She opened them and gave Krystal a huge, wide-eyed stare. "He...would he...?" She whispered. Would he kill them?

"Don't ever say that!" Krystal growled but hugged Ellie. She backed away and heard the question, "He sure would...in a heartbeat."

Kanu chuckled a bit, "Do I need to carry you?"

"Maybe..." She laughed. "Because I think my brain just quit functioning." Van managed to take a step towards him.

Ellie dropped the subject. She still believed the same thing, but she wasn't going to argue. Right now, her mind was still stuck on one thing. "Why? Why would he do that?"

"Uni...his mind works in funny ways..." Krystal didn't want to admit to Ellie he had feelings for her.

Kanu smiled and mimicked Van, taking a step towards her.

Uni brought out his blade, putting it right at Dans throat, "Your as good as dead." He snarled out, his eyes turning redder.

"I...he...it had nothing to do with him." She whispered. "He didn't need to get involved! It was my problem...my.." She stopped, realizing why she was upset. Van was the only one who had ever stood up for her before.

She saw what he was doing. So she took another couple steps. Which, when he did the same would put them right in front of each other.

Kanu took the same amount and stared at her, a smile on his lips. They were only centimeters from each other.

"He knows that..." Krystal finally took in a deep sigh, "I was...talking with him. Ellie...he has feelings for you..."

Uni brought his blade up and wasn't even paying attention to any of the guys with pistols. He was focused on one thing...that one man.

"What now?" She said coyly to him. They really did need to leave...especially if Ellie had shot someone.

Her mind couldn't grasp it. "He what?" She asked, face blank. Feelings? For...her? "No. He can't." She said, taking a step back, mind refusing to function. "Kill them." She tried to clarify. "Or...fuck!" She shouted. The wound in her side still bled and now she felt light headed. "Oh...shit..." She got out before she collapsed.

"Even if you can't get your mind grasped around it, he does!" Krystal said and got her before she went down.
((OOC: Hope ya don't mind but I am gonna take quick possession of the boys LOL))
And yes...you do :p

More gunfire rang through the night along with screams.Uni had killed them...but hadn't gone out unscathed. 3 bullet wounds clearly shown on his blood painted skin.

"I don't know..." He said with a smile but when he heard more gun shots he knew.

She leaned in quickly and kissed him. Then backed up and grabbed the bags she'd managed to drop in her shock. "Let's go. Quickly."

"Damn." She whispered. "Lost..more than..I thought." She apologized to Krystal.

((OOC: that's fine...i didn't know what to make them do anyways XD))

The fire faded and his blood glistened in the dull light of the moon. He was still snarling but felt the world start to spin and go black. Stay awake...

Kanu waited for her and when they were ready he ran out of the door. Now he could smell blood...and lost of it.

"Maybe...I could try something." Krystal muttered. Since her strength came back, she had more energy to use her healing skills.

((OOC: LOL alright XD))

"No." Ellie pushed at her. "We...have to leave." She choked and coughed. "Go get Uni. I'll...be right here." She chuckled. Not like she could run at the moment. "I promise you can try whatever once we get out of the village. Van's probably already leaving with our stuff."

She smelled the blood now too. "Damn. They'll find us." She told Kanu. "Right now, our job is to find somewhere safe."

Uni had went to walk but stumbled, crashing down on one knee. Big mistake. He snarled in pain after hearing a horrid snapping sound. "Fuck!"

Krystal just didn't want to leave her there but really didn't have a choice. She followed the scent of blood and found him kneeling there, shuddering in pain. "Uni." She said and cringed. She could see where his body had been pierced with the bullets.

"We can't just leave them...can we?" Kanu asked but figured the trio would be alright so he kept up with Van.

"Trust me. We can." She had experience in this stuff, sadly. Van wondered what Kanu would think if she told him this wasn't the first time this had happened.

Ellie managed to get back to her feet, leaning heavily against the wall. "Stupid..sons of...a bitches." She growled. "Why would anyone like...me?" She whispered.

Krystal had touched his knee gently and Unis eyes flashed with pain. "Don't!" He hissed savegly, then looked down his eyes filled with pain and hurt.

"Oh Uni..." She muttered and looked him over, biting her lip.

Kanu just kept running and took her answer to heart, "Alright."

Van slowed her pace once they were outside what her wolf told her were the village limits. "We should be fine if we find a place out here." She told him.

Ellie tried to move. She didn't want to leave Krystal and Uni...but she didn't want to stay here by herself either. She managed to make it as far as the building would allow her. Once she hit the corner, she had a new challenge. Pushing caustiously away from the building, she tried walking without its support. One step. Two. Three. Then she stepped on a stray cat's tail. It hissed, she cursed it and hit the ground. "I give up!" She shouted at the sky.

Krystal heard her shout and helped Uni up. He had tried to take a few steps but went down, right on his knee. He cursed in pain and fell face first into the dirt, "I'm a failure...big time.."

Kanu looked around, but didn't see any place that looked "good." He sighed, "Not like it matters much.."

Unlike Kanu, Van was looking at the area critically. "Actually, it does." She said absently. "At least for me." She added seeing his look. "I need a fairly even ground for you all to lay on if I have to heal you up." She spotted an area she liked. "Over there, in the soft grass."

"Failure." She growled at herself. (they really are matches for each other XD) She just laid there, on the ground, not give a damn anymore. Her arm was draped over her stomach, hand clutching the bullet wound. "Get your ass up, Ellie." She grumbled. "Don't make them carry you." She gritted her teeth and slowly started the process of getting to her feet.

"Pathetic.." Uni growled.
"Stop it!" Krystal yelled viciously, her voice echoing through the night.
"Why Krystal?! You know it's true! I'm just a screw up anyway!"
Krystal was about to lose her mind, "Fine! If you carry yourself that way than you are just a fucking screw up!"
Uni didn't say anything...just looked at her.
Her eyes showed nothing but pain., "Uni...I'm...so sorry...I...I didn't mean that..."

Kanu looked over at the area, "That looks better." Then he heard Krystal and looked at the ground, "Well..she found Uni.."

Van couldn't help the fear that gripped her. She waited for Krystal and Uni to appear, pacing a little. She wound up standing right behind Kanu when she realized she was pacing. Why wasn't Ellie with them?

Ellie ran out of buildings and just stared. "Well fuck the world." She growled out, feeling dizzy. "No..stay awake." She muttered, clutching at the wall.

Krystal almost looked like she was in tears. She knew that subject hurt Uni deeply..but he said nothing. He finally stood himself up, "Go find Ellie,...I'll be ok."

Krystal nodded and when she got to Ellie tears were leaking down her face.

Kanu watched her with a frown on his lips. He wanted to do something to comfort her, but it looked like nothing he could say would help.

Van didn't know what had upset Krystal, but she shoved it aside, taking charge here. "Come over here." She told Uni, pointed at a spot near a rock. "You have bullet holes. I have to check if they all came out." She looked at Kanu. He looked upset too. "Can you find me water? There is a small bowl in my bag that you can fill."

"What's wrong?" Ellie asked as soon as she saw her. She patted the wall beside her. "Come sit with me and chat. I'm not in any hurry to have Van skin me alive." She gave her a weak smile.

"I...I brought up some things I never should have let slip.." Krystal muttered sadly and sat beside Ellie.

Uni didn't even want to move. What's the point? Not like healing me matters... He growled and sat where she had pointed.

Kanu went and grabbed a small bowl from the bag and headed off to find a river or some water source.

"Oh quit growling, demon." She said sitting next to him, medic-kit next to her. "There are a few people that would sorely miss you if you let yourself die." She told him. Pulling out her tweezers, she examined the first of the bullet holes. "How many times were you shot?" She asked, following this one to his back. Cleared.

"Ah." Ellie gave her a soft smile. "Don't let it eat you up. We do get over it. Because we know that the person who said it meant it with love." She leaned her head back and looked at the sky. "You'll...just have to trust me on this one...please?" She whispered. She knew exactly how he felt. She'd just been on the receiving end earlier. "We really do." She added, softly and winced as her wound throbbed.

"Yeah...ok." Uni said and snarled. 2...2 people. I made Krystal cry her eyes out...1? I almost killed Kanu back at the inn...0.. A pained look crossed his face and he quickly changed it, hoping Van hadn't seen it, "3 times..." He answered.

Krystal sighed, "Alright..." She answered softly and looked at Ellies wound again. Her hand started to glow a brilliant sapphire.

She had. "Try not to snarl." Was all she said. "It actually doesn't help." She found the second hole. She followed that one back. Cleared. A little more searching and she found the third one. Followed it back. She sighed. "This is going to hurt." She warned him and thrust the tweezers into the partial hole in his back. A little digging and she had the third bullet.

Ellie watched the sapphire glow of her hands. She giggled and it hurt. "He and I really are alike." She told Krystal randomly. "We both similar pasts..." She stopped, realizing she just admitted to knowing about his. Foot. Insert in mouth. "Ah shit." She groaned and slumped her head.

"Sorry..." He said in a lost voice. Uni tried not to growl in pain when she started digging in his wound.

Krystal slowly touched her side and looked a little shocked, "What was that?" But she knew. Kanu..

"It's alright." Van said absently, mind in her work. "Breath in and out a few times." She instructed, placing one hand on his chest, the other on his back. The green fire lept up at her bidding and started working its magic.

"Please." Ellie begged her, eyes huge and worried. "Don't be mad! He...I asked. From the little bits I was picking up...it just sounded so similar to me..." Her face crumbled a little. "We are more alike then he truly realizes." She told her softly.

Uni did as he was told. In...out...in...out..

Krystal concentrated on the wound, "Why would I be mad? Kanu must have been alright saying it...I mean...we were there also..." She muttered and a frown painted her lips but she shook it away, "You two really are a good match." A wicked grin spread across her face after saying that.

Ellie's cheeks lit up. "I...he...really?" She asked in a quiet voice.

Van finished with the bullet holes. "What else did you manage to injure?" She asked.

Uni shrugged, "I honestly have no clue." His whole body ached painfully and he couldn't tell anymore if it was from fatigue or an actually wound.

Kanu came back with the bowl filled, "Sorry...I had to get pretty far out before I found some water."

Krystal giggled, "Yes, really....I mean it Ellie." She had a feeling she would say "really" again so Krystal added that last part for her own good. Another smile crept across her face as she thought of the way Uni was..and that he actually had feelings...and for someone he had just met.

"I..." Ellie gave up on words, and had been about to say really again. "Can you heal this enough so we don't worry the others too much?" She still couldn't grasp her mind around what Krystal had said. That would take some time.

"Well. Move around. When something hurts. Tell me and I'll look at the spot." Van instructed. She turned to Kanu. "That's fine. I just need it to clean around the wounds for stitching." She eyed Uni. "Which you are getting." Looking around, "And where the hell is Ellie?"

Krystal chuckled and then answered, "Yes, I should be able to."

Kanu sat it down and looked away, an embarrassed look on his face. What he said was a lie. The stream actually wasn't far at all. He didn't want to admit that he had been lost in his...thoughts..and accidentally lost his way.

Uni moved around a bit, "Nothing to awfully bad." Then he heard the word stitching and closed his eyes, "Damn..."

"Baby." Van muttered. She watched Kanu. He looked...well he looked like a lost puppy. "Come back and sit then, so I can stitch those holes up."

Ellie giggled, a bad sign. She got...the word Van used was "loopy" when she'd lost a lot of blood. "Do you think he finds me cute too? Or is it just classified as 'feelings'?" She watched as Krystal moved closer to try healing her.

Krysta bit her lip, trying not to laugh. It was hard to concentrate when she was laughing. "Honey, I think he finds you way more than cute."

Kanu sat down and watched what Van was doing..which Uni didn't seem to like one bit.

"Damnit!" Van growled at Uni. "Sit still!" She'd stuck him in the wrong spot. Twice.

"Really? I can't even begin to understand why...but Van always said that I didn't give myself enough credit." She paused. "And that I'd been graced with good boobs."

Krystals eyes went huge and she had to pull her hand away. "Ellie!" She gasped out through a laugh, "You can't make me laugh if you want that healed!"

"Maybe if you'd quit poking me in the wrong places!" Uni growled out.

Kanu could feel something starting, "Damnit Uni! Shut your ass up and sit still!"

Unis eyebrow twitched, "Care to say that again?"

"Enough!" Van snarled at them both. "I'll put you both in corners." She glared at Uni. "Stop. Moving. And I wont poke you in the wrong place." She had a headache forming now.

Ellie stared at her. "Sorry." She grumbled. "It's just what Van says."

"Fine!" Uni snarled and sat still. He had whispered something in the demon language and smiled at Kanu, whose face lit up and he growled a bit.

"It's alright...well it actually looks pretty good...you want to head back?" Krystal asked.

"Do you need that answer now?" Ellie asked. She was still afraid to see Van. And what would she do if she saw Uni? "And I look like shit." She muttered. "How in any way is that cute?"

Van stabbed him a little harder than was necessary with the needle. She'd heard some sort of quiet syllables whispered that she had no clue what they meant. "One more hole to stitch." She muttered. "Thank God."

Uni whisped more of the language and Kanu bit his tongue and whispered something back. Both started snarling.

Krystal, despite their length, heard the snarls. "I really don't think he cares." She said and smiled, "Your wearing that...he's prolly just gonna flip out...go mess with him a little." Krystal giggled.

"Mess with him?" She glanced down at her outfit. "Well, it obviously attracted those...others." She said aloud and she still felt dizzy from the blood loss. "He has a nice butt." Ellie informed Krystal as she stood up.

Van finished stitching his wound. "I can't take it anymore!" She snarled and walked over to each guy in turn, smacking them hard upside the heads. "Both of you. Shut it!"

Kanu rubbed his head, "He started it..."
Uni chuckled, "You know it's true!"
"Shut the hell up!"

Krystal bit her tongue on a laugh. She really wanted to see him squirm...and from the snarl she heard, Van probably wanted to see it to.

Van shot Kanu a look. "How old are you?"

"Well, are we going?" Ellie grumbled, now successfully on her feet. "If you want me to screw with him...mind as well get going before I can't focus on what my own name even is."

Krystal stood up and smiled when she started walking, "Let's go then." They finally reached the area and she looked at Uni, not able to hide the maniacal smile that crept across her lips.
"That...can't be..good." Uni muttered out and looked at Kanu who just twitched a few times. He had pretended not to hear Vans question.

"Ellie!" Van wasn't sure if she was pissed or relieved. "Oh good, your back Krystal. How can you deal with these two?" She shot them both looks.

"Awe Van, you just have to know how to handle the boys right." Ellie shot Uni a devious grin and a wink.

Krystal had to cup her hand over her mouth. She stumbled her way over to Van and went to her knees, shuddering in laughter.

Kanu rolled his eyes at her comment, "I'm the good one."

"Like hell you are!" Uni snarled and then stopped after he saw the wink and grin. Krystal folded over and bit the side of her mouth.

"Geez, don't you die on me." Van said staring at her. "I refuse to take on the responsibility of those two." She gestured at Kanu and Uni. "Well...that's not completely true..." She muttered hoping Krystal was the only one who heard.

Ellie saw him looking now and couldn't help but see where all she could make his eye follow. Keeping her gaze on him, she slowly rubbed at her stomach, then dragged her hand around, careful not to draw attention to her wound.

Krystal looked up at her with a bright smile. "Go talk to him and stop worring about me!" She hissed out, but not in a mean way. She stood up and gave Van a little shove.

Kanu watched Uni with a smile. He wanted to see what Uni was going to do...and how this would turn out.

Uni kept his gaze on her hand and every so often would look back up at her eyes. It looked like he wasn't going to move...his body or his gaze for that matter.

Van ended up standing next to Kanu before she really knew it. She bit her lip trying to think of anything to say. "Are you ok?" She managed lamely.

Ellie kept the same devious look to her. He was totally falling for it. Now...if only she could manage to stay up on her feet. "See Van? Just have to know how to handle them." Her hand was very conveniently located between her breasts.

"Yes, I'm fine." Kanu answered and looked up at her before standing at her side.

Uni had followed her hand and kept staring...but then realized he was staring right at her chest. He shook his head and snarled a bit, averting his gaze to the ground.

She couldn't keep up the devious charade anymore, and bust out laughing. "Enjoy that little show?" She teased him, laughing heartily. Her world spun and she almost toppled over. Hope no one realized that was from dizziness and not laughter.

"Very nicely done." Van called to Ellie, trying not to laugh too hard at the demon. She realized that Kanu was standing next to her. Trying not to blush or think about things...like how hot the half demon really was...she kept her gaze anywhere but next to her.

"You...fell for it Uni!" Kanu called with a sly smile.

Uni turned to him, still snarling...but a tint of red was on his face.

Kanu bit hips lip right then and there. Don't....laugh...don't..

Krystal had seen the stumble and stared at Ellie, making sure she wouldn't go down.

Kanu might have been trying not to laugh, but Van didn't share his feelings there. She finally started laughing when she saw his faint blush. "Is that...?" She didn't get it out and stumbled into Kanu, trying to hide behind him so Uni couldn't glare at her.

Ellie managed to take a breath. She was holding her stomach from the laughter, but managed to get one hand covering the wound. It throbbed a little. Stay on your feet, Ellie, she growled mentally. "Maybe I'll give you a private show later." She told the demon and winked again.

Kanu saw her and smiled and finally couldn't hold it in anymore. He put his head down and shuddered with faint laughter.

Uni looked back at Ellie, but didn't answer. His eyebrow was cocked a bit and he just stared. The blush had gone away and he prayed it wouldn't come back.

Krystal still kept her eye on Ellie. Don't go down...stay upright..

"Alright!" Van got a hold of herself, trying to bring some order to them. "We can either camp here, or travel a little bit to another village..." She thought for a minute. Where was the next closest village?

She saw him looking and mimicked his look. "Interested are you?" She grinned. As long as I don't move..I think I'll be fine."Maybe you'll get a little more out of that show."

Kanu smiled a bit and took in a breath. "I'm fine staying here..but it doesn't matter to me."

Uni couldn't turn away this time. He bit his lip. Don't you dare comment! Don't you dare!

"Well then let's make this more like a campsite then." Van sighed. "I know that a few of us could really use a bit of relaxation." She eyed Kanu. Ellie's mood must be rubbing off on her. The thoughts she was starting to have would have her blushing if she spoke them out loud.

"In fact...I think I have a few ideas already." She purred. "Involving a few...special toys." Oh she was just loving this! She managed to take a few steps towards him without any stumbles. But she wasn't going to push her luck.
