Communication and Transportation HologramsHolograms are a popular form communication consisting of a 3 dimensional image created by a small 'holograph box', or a small device that uses weak lasers to create an image. Electron Propulsion- Electron Propulsion is the only way to travel in space, especially deep space. It is approximately one hundred thousand times the speed of light and is still not fully understood, but the theory is that the engines which have this ability can somehow bend the matter around them and launch themselves continuously by using it. Artificial Intelligence Androids- Androids are smart and useful, but don't have complex emotions. They are programmed a certain way and anything beyond their reach can damage them Learning Robots- These are commonly used as spies, since they can take in information and save it in their memory, and it can be recalled at any time. Some people say these are the future of Androids, though right now they are less humanoid than androids. Emotions- Emotions are one of the few weaknesses of Artificial Intelligence. Even the best and the newest androids will be able to use very few basic emotions if they have any at all. Weapons Lasers- Lasers are the most popular form of weaponry. They use no ammunition, just energy to run on, and because of this, they are lighter than most guns, however some generate their own power, and are bigger than many guns because of this. Data Chips- Data Chips contain data used to modify weapons and armor to a specific property like immunity, extra powers, and many other things. They are basically weapon modificactions and most weapons have at least a few DC slots. Nuclear Weaponry- Only used as a last resort, and even then nukes are considered fowl play. Attacking nuclear power plants is thought of as a dirty trick, but nuclear bombs are still one of the most powerful weapons there is. Biowarfare- Rarely used and effective but risky. There are biowarfare labs on many planets, but there are many problems with it and it's considered barbaric. Other Energy- The main source of energy currently is nuclear fusion. Solar powered vehicles are also widely used on planet surfaces, and small gadgets sometimes run on glucose, found in the blood of any living thing. Currently Impossible Cloning- A protein that artificially cloned cells can not produce leads to a slow and painful breakdown of the clone. Limbs, organs, animals, and humanoids can not be cloned. Teleportation- Breaking down humanoids or objects into small particles and then reassembling them somewhere else has never worked. Resurrection- It never works. EVER. Once someone is dead they're dead, which is why you should not expect to kill your character and then have him do the cancan... unless it's in the OOC forums. Travel Through Black Holes- This is impossible and there is no way to do this. Traveling through a wormhole, black hole, vortex, void, etc. will do nothing but destroy you and everything near you. Time Travel- If you want to travel into the future, wait five minutes. Time is not yet a dimension that we have the ability to bend, though many experiments have been done, and all have failed.
