Hi, After a delay of three years my project on this war memorial is soon to be published. Those of you with long memories may remember that on the war memorial is C. Green (no rank shown) who to date has not been identified, as 164 C. Green's were k.i.a.. The other 47 on the memorial have been identified (45 were army casualties and 2 were R. F. C. or R. A. F.).Just a thought, but if C. Green was female and a nurse (Surrey CCC had 500 female members at this time) are there any records still existing of nursing casualties and would this be classed as a war death and permit her to be listed on a war memorial?
