Posts: 39 Group: Junior Classman Member #19 Joined: Nov 1, 2008 Blog Final Fantasy VIII progress	I don't understand how to do limit breaks. I just saw a video by Ashe10 that was amazing. I'm working now on trying to get the Tonberry GF and have to kill the little Tonberrys first. I don't plan to get Odin now so I figured out the hard way that I will have to go out of the area and save because it is taking me 10 minutes just to kill one Tonberry. However, Ashe10 has a video with Squall doing 5000+ damage on a Tonberry with several hits. He does seem to have Squall's ultimate gunblade. I have the Punishment gunblade right now, and Squall is level 32 or so. I don't understand the trigger thing. What am I supposed to press to get all those attacks? Also, I know that Zell has buttons that must be pressed for his limit breaks. How do I know when to press them? I wish I could have Irvine in my party instead but the game won't let me change people. I'm supposed to be going to Trebia, I think, in the story. I just got control of the Garden ship and am doing my best to drive it around.

The timer can make it really hard to do so you need to be fast... As for Squall limit, on the bar that appears, a sort of glowing line scrolls from right to left. When it gets to the square on the left, you need to press the Trigger button. This increases the damage caused considerably, just like with a normal attack with trigger. If you time it right and get the trigger to work, then it adds to the total for that occurence of the limit break. If you get them all correctly timed, you get a "perfect". Also, the more you time correctly, the higher the chance of a finishing move such as Rough Divide or Lion Heart. Does that help at all?
