Random Conversationalist Posts: 252 Group: Upper Classman Member #5 Joined: Aug 25, 2008	Well if you ever get playing it and you happen to be on the US Orphesia server look me up, I am the Velites family. Its Latin so you have to say it like a true Roman. Downloading it over night eh. I thought of doing that when I first found it but instead a waited a week so that I could use my university's internet which is way faster. Cheers, eh.

The platform is being discontinued but there are LOTS of games being published in Japan. Outside of Japan the games are inexpensive because the focus now is on the newer platforms. My picks: Rez, (though now downloadable on Xbox Live) Persona games Okami Final Fantasy XII: International Zodiac Job System Warriors Orochi 2 Mr. Mosquito (if you can find it)

It was too much of a change from the story of the other ones... I love the Shin Megami Tensei series as a whole though, and I am looking forward to Eternal Poison when it comes out. Is Okami good then? What's it actually about? And... Er... What's Rez?

Posts: 39 Group: Junior Classman Member #19 Joined: Nov 1, 2008 Blog Final Fantasy VIII progress	Okami is an RPG more or less, but you play as a wolf, and the wolf paints using his tail as his attack. Game first came out on the PS 2. Since then it has been ported to the Wii and on that console you can use the motion sensor controller for the painting. Very unique and interesting game. Rez is one of the first games to come out for the PS 2, and became a cult hit among geeks (this one included :)). It's an arcade type techno-shooter. The premise is hacking into a mainframe computer system. You control an avatar that starts out as a sphere and as you pick up health cubes, you evolve your avatar into a liquid silver type man. The stages of the evolution represent lives so if you take damage, you move down a stage. The avatar floats along in cyberspace and shoots viruses and security features. The look is arcade animation. The music is great, it is techno trance, so you can turn out the lights and space out. The game is available as a download on Xbox Live, and one of the neat features is being able to watch saved game videos of the really good players on the leaderboards. You can watch their entire best game. Unreal. The game has only 4 levels but they are long levels and you have to beat the level all the way through before you can move on. I played for 4 months to get to level 4 and still haven't beat that last level.
