I'm looking for something similar to Shin Megami Tensei or Shadow Hearts... Basically, very dark games... Any ideas? EA

The Freelance Musician Posts: 304 Group: Upper Classman Member #2 Joined: Aug 23, 2008	I was gonna get Shin Megami Tensei once, but another game caught my eye (FFX). It supposed to be a very good game, though. As for Shadow Hearts, get the both the first and second one. The third one (which I bought) is okay but not as good as number 2. I don't know a lot of dark games, though...the only thing that comes to mind is Disgaea.

<3 Rinoa and Stellar <3 Posts: 862 Group: Senior Staff Member #1 Joined: Aug 23, 2008 Blog The Angel's Asylum	I have Shadow Hearts 1 and 2 and Koudelka (the original game in the series on psx) I recommened getting Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer's Call (SMT:Nocturne is the states for those interested) and SMT: Persona 3 (and Person 2 for psx) I shall have a look at Disgaea thank you very much!

If we are just talking RPG's then you might like Shadow of the Colossus, however its more of an Action-RPG, and I only consider it dark because you are the only person around besides you dead girlfriend. Now all types of games, you have to consider Resident Evil 4, now thats a dark and creepy game! Cheers, eh.

Although perhaps Zero was as good as it... Also, I have heard a lot about Shadow Of The Colossus, isn't it basically a series of boss fights with a lot of riding a horse in between?

However, the boss fights are quite enjoyable. You don't just hack and slash, you first have to find out their weak points, then you have to figure out ways in which to climb their bodies up to those weak points. It takes a little time to actually get to like it, believe me I didn't like it at first until my friend lent me his copy and I played it for a little while. Anyways, I am not much help when it comes to "dark games," my RPG collection is made up of Final Fantasy (1-12, except for 3 and 11), Legend of Dragoon, Grandia 3, Radiata Stories, not really dark games to say the least. Cheers, eh.

We even game up with a plausible idea for a prequel to it, since a sequel would be out of the question. Also, I was thinking, if you have a PSP, Crisis Core would be a perfect game to get. Cheers, eh.
