Video Guide?; What do you think to the idea?

<3 Rinoa and Stellar <3 Posts: 862 Group: Senior Staff Member #1 Joined: Aug 23, 2008 Blog The Angel's Asylum	Hi guys, just wanted to see what you thought to this idea; I was planning on recording me playing through FFVIII on my emulator as a sort of "walkthrough" for people, and then posting the videos on here similar to McTricky's Boss Videos. I would be playing it at a normal rate, without doing my usual over-levelling (as that would get tedious to watch) and would most likely edit out the boss fights and random encounters, whilst leaving in predetermined encounters such as the Galbadia soldiers who jump of the balcony/bridge thing in Dollet. The reason for editting out the boss fights is simply out of respect for McTricky doing Boss Fight videos already The only issue I have is that the screen recording software I have (obviously) doesn't record sound... And my mic is bust so I can't use that either... Any ideas what I should do about the sound? My original idea what to just use the midi files from FFVIII that are on my pc and place them over the recording in the correct places, but that may take a while... lol What are your thoughts on this? EA

Could you give me the link? I tried getting them from Reality Lapse and KHInsider, but they didn't work... I have the midi versions, and the Piano cd

Awhile back I remembering seeing this pseudo-walkthrough of FF8 that used screenshots from the game. I say psuedo mainly because the person went to the extreme extent to edit all of Squall's dialogue and replace it with very emo/depressing comments. If you're planning to also include the CC Group sidequest, well, I've already just finished doing completing the quest now and I've recorded all the locations and card games to put into one big video. @Rag_42: That's possible with the PC version, there's this software available that allows you to mod the game, including chaging the dialouge. That will probably amount to AT LEAST two videos due to time, and that's including me not recording the intro... I am planning on skipping me leveling on the world map as it would be rather dull to watch, and I will replace it will a text explanation within the actual video of what level I get to and what magic I draw and how much etc etc... I will also skip the actual card games (in case I lose ) and only show the end of it when I get a rare card, such as Quistis or Mini Mog at the start of the game... Do you think that would be good? Oh! And I will be recording my adventures on the world map when locating hidden draw points and doing the PuPu quest for example
