That reminds me: When you first leave Balamb Garden, use the Fastifalcon-Fs to get Quezacotl to learn Card, and then Card Mod. It'll take a bit of time, but after you have Card Mod, use it on Gesper (i think) and you get the item Black Hole, giving you Quistis' limit Degenerator. |

I found a hidden Full Life Draw in the missle room where you have to push the missle into place. I didn't see that in any of the guides I'm using. Don't know if it is a trick or not. When you enter the area just before pushing the missle, it is on the left. |

Wow! I never knew there was one there, and I have the official guide (somewhere)... Thanks for sharing.

Just found hidden draw point of 10 Ultimas in Mayor's residence of FH. It's in front of the stovetype thing on the left of the wife, has an 06 or 08 on it. Don't know if that is in the strategy guide. I'm using SplitInfinity's walkthrough on Gamefaqs and this draw point isn't mentioned. At some point I'll email Split about these. |

I prefer to use Absolute Steve's FAQs because he gives "Perfect Game" notes. I'm currently using his FF8 and FF7 FAQs. |

Do those Perfect game FAQs focus on getting everything as early as possible? That was the case with the FF12 Perfect game FAQs. While I am not interested in getting things as early as possible, I do agree that these types of FAQs are the best and I learn a lot from them. |

In the most strictest sense, they tend to focus on getting stuff early but only if it benefits the player. Like with Absolute Steve's FF8 FAQ he insist you don't get Odin before Disc 4 since it messes up with Angelo Search. He also says that it's out of the question to kill Ultima Weapon, since once it's dead the fixed encounters with (Tri-Faces = Curse Spikes) will be gone forever. |

Today I found a Draw point at Dr. Odine's lab in Esthar, it is in the room where the couch/elevator is. Before sitting on it, go behind to the right. There is a Draw where Laguna can get 14 Doubles. Then take the couch/elevator ride. When you arrive, don't go through the door right away. To the left of the door is a Flare Draw point where Laguna can get 7 Flares. These Draw points are not in SplitInfinity's guide nor AbsoluteSteve's guide. Edited by batgirl, Nov 15 2008, 02:34:26 AM.

Well... To usher this into the new, more diverse Tips and Tricks era, here's one for FF7, albeit on obvious one. (Although I seen many an LP where people didn't know about it.) First, when on the train to the second Reactor, the alarm goes off and a timer appears. Let it run out! Then, approach the screen to cause an event to happen in which your party jumps off early. Then, instead of heading to the reactor like Barret says, go the opposite way a couple of screens. Now, make sure you have restore on at least one person, and bolt-all on another, if not 2. After a few screens, you'll notice the scenery change and there are some guards. Cloud'll suggest going back, but we're not afraid of Shinra, right!? Instead, run in and fight them. Use bolt-all for a quick kill. Then, when given the option, choose to stay there and you get another fight. Now... By continously choosing "Stay Here" (and spending a couple of hours there) I've been able to enter the second reactor at level 19 with Climhazard.... xD |
