Update: Still cannot get the .net address working, which means I effectively paid out for nothing, which is a bit annoying... Also, I am thinking of removing the EXP system and just having posts, as it keeps bugging out... What do you think? Is it worth keeping it when the same effect can be done purely using posts instead of a buggy system? lol. EDIT: Also, I am thinking that, due to various issues with the area I live in at the moment, I may be in need of a second staff member. This is because my internet connection is never reliable and I could be gone for days at a time. Also, should I lose internet access for a long time, then unless I have another staff member, no further staff can be appointed. well, due to various reasons, I have decided to bump the Garden's version number. This does not mean I am giving up on the various features I have planned, but it does signify that the Garden is now as a stable as it's going to get. Therefore, I am going to start work on an advertising campaign of sorts tonight. And finally, I would like say; "Welcome to Version 1.0" |

Just want to ask you all something: Should I put things like details about the game's characters, such as info on the designs of them etc? I can get the info from places like wikipedia and various other sites, but I was wondering if you think it would be worth it. It may bring more people to the Garden, so it would be helpful that way... |

Well, it seems like if you've got information about the characters, there are some more topics that people could search for in Google and be directed here. I don't know a whole lot about SEO, but it seems like that would help. |

that was my thought exactly  as it stands we're the fifth or sixth result when someone search "final fantasy viii forum" or "final fantasy 8 forum", and that's simply from us all talking about it and some SEO on my part.Therefore, if we had more stuff about it, it would put us higher in the rankings, as well as bring more people here, hopefully.

Hi guys, this is just an idea that came to my head and I would like to know what your thoughts about it are before starting work on it. Using the "joinable groups" system, I was thinking of adding a "Garden Clubs" system. What I mean by this is that a member can contact a member of Staff asking permission to start a Club about anything. This Club idea will then be evaluated to make sure it's not unsuitable for the site and if it is approved, the Staff member will create a Joinable Group under the name of the Club. The Club's leader will then be set to the fonding member, and a private section will be made for them within a special Clubs section of the Garden. I will also add a public thread that will act as a directory of the clubs.
Clubs can be about anything that is suitable (i.e not pornographic or against the Garden's rules). This means you could create a club about Squall, Fate Stay Night, Ferrari's or Avril Lavigne if you wanted to. How the club runs will be left up to the Leader to decide, although the Staff Members will check up on the club sections to make sure none of club rule and Garden rules are being broken. Using the example of the Rinoa-Club, Member A might decide to have a thread for Rinoa fan art, one for fan fiction, and one for anything else. What do you guys think? |

Wow... Almost a year since the last update post in here. 0_0 Anyway: Update 1 The Secret Area has been refirbished and refitted to suit the idea of a general Final Fantasy forum. There are now sections devoted to the PS2 games and the older PSX, GBA and S/NES games respectively. As well as that, I have set up two further, specialized sections. Namely, one for FFVIII and one for the new FFXIII miniseries. Update 2 The training area is currently being reworked a little, as it will now be there to act as a Help Request area for any and all Final Fantasy games, rather than just for FFVIII. This will also lead to a section specific rule of putting [FF*] at the start of the help request topics in there, with the * being the number or initials of the specific game you want help with. This is so that people who don't have the game don't have to read through the topic to find out that they don't have it and can't help. Update 3 Due to inactivity and a lack of interest both when we were previously active and recently, I have removed the Garden Clubs section, and am currently removing the various club membership types. Should you all want them back, I will be happy to ablige. Update 4  I made a small and simple userbar to help us advertise the Garden. If you want to make your own, or have other suggestions, let me know.
